DB should scoop Rosser up if they can! Guy is great with kids, and he's brought Central out of the dark in just a few years. I would say Ballard would be best fit, but with his son graduating next year, I'd say he is pretty close to hanging it up.

Hearing Seymour may have there guy. It's a coach already in the SCS system.

I may drive up for this one. What time do you think is best to get there? -
William blount offseason thread
HSfootballfanatic12 replied to Thegovernorofwillyb's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
At this point, it is a little disrespectful to the kids. Say what you want about Shad and the admin, but posting it on here everyday isn't fair to the 14-18 year olds who play, and have to read that stuff on Coacht. -
Any early names in regards to the Seymour opening?

Ahhh, don't cry now. It's just a message board. Don't get all butthurt. Why are you so insecure? -

That post probably came off a little stronger than I intended lol some of you AC faithful just rant and rave about how proven/great you are, and I just want to see those folks brought back to reality a little bit. -

FWIW, I hope you guys beat the brakes off of AC. I can't stand their fanbase, and I want to see them get brought back to reality. -

I was just told that after the first couple of games that Shad took over the defense. I trust my source. You know the staff is in trouble when you have two guys who coached middle school last year, coaching the varsity this year. William Blount will never be consistently good because no good coaches want to work there. -

Betsy better be able to throw the ball. I've watched AC twice this year, and both times they stacked the box, and brought lots of pressure. This means it's 1 on 1 on the outside, and I'm going to give that advantage to the Cyclones. Should be a close one though because I don't think anyone is going to hold AC below 30 points. -

I heard Shad calls the offense and defense. So, if scheme is the problem, it falls on Shad. -

It'll be interesting to see what Shad can do. You said defensive changes, what would need to change as far as defense? Staff? Scheme? -

Who else is he gonna throw to besides "Isaiah Hannah 2.0" you can't have one kid to stress a a defense you need at least one more to balance out the field? -
MCMINN CENTRAL!? ONLY FIELDING 11 NEXT YEAR
HSfootballfanatic12 replied to bradley99's topic in Class 3A & Class 4A
I see what you're saying, but some things have to be taken into account such as ratio of students, and socioeconomics. If the ratio is 4:1 or 3:1, girl to boy, and the 60% of those students are on free and reduced lunch, meaning they are either toeing the poverty line or below. Then fielding a 60-70 man roster is gonna be a tough task, and for a lot of schools they suffer from those very issues. Not saying Mcminn Central does, but I know for a fact some 6A's do. -
(Round 1) Grainger (7-3) vs. AC Mavericks (10-0)

It's not a statement if all of the teams aren't good. I'm not gonna diminish the fact that you score a lot of points, and I'm gonna say your QB is better than Greeneville's. Let's stop pretending mercy ruling the Chattanooga teams in Hamilton County and Sequoyah is anything close to making a statement. Only one of them even had anything that resembles a pulse this year and that's Chattanooga Central. With that being said, I hope you and Greeneville meet because that's one I'll drive upper east to see, and I hope it's a good game, but I just don't see it being. Beat Betsy and Greeneville, then you've made a statement. -

Pulling for Heritage, but I still think the Owls are too athletic. -
I heard William Blount played a JV team against the AC 9th grade team. I don't know if that's true, but it's what I heard.

Three games in Blount Co. this week that are big for each school. Region titles on the line for Maryville and Alcoa, and Heritage looking to be in the playoffs for the third straight year. Good luck to all of those teams! -

What do you mean left the team? Like quit or injured? -
Watched Fulton play CC and saw OR play Knox West. I think this will be a very close game. Both teams are loaded with athletes and seem evenly matched from that standpoint. I may get killed by some OR fans, but I think it's going to come down late game execution and coaching, and with those two factors I'm gonna give the edge to the Falcons, and Rob Black. My prediction is: Fulton 31 - OR 27.

Yeah, it's a different opponent than Oakland though. Not saying what happened last year wasn't ridiculous because it certainly was, but I think these kids believe they can beat Stone, as opposed to the kids last year wanting no part of Oakland. I just hope for the kids sake they can win it. Especially, for their seniors. Tough way to have to remember your senior season.
