Yes, he is still teaching. Will he be there after this year probably not. Coach Hookfin is in a similar situation. Tho he didn’t resign due to those types of things. He resigned for the school to go in a different direction over in Arkansas. He’s not just apart of administration and not coaching

-Kids didn’t mind playing for em, but they didn’t care for him - his scheme is predictable -his assistant coach turnover ratio since 2018 is horrid - he was well abusing tssaa rules of amount hrs practiced in a week. A routine day at Northside they’d practice from 2:30-6 sometimes 7 - it was all about him. Hence the reason assistances left due to him not letting them have a say so. -parents got tired of him talking wreckless to their kids. the list goes on. principal Bridgeman kept him. Safe i don’t know Powell personally. Some say he was a genuine cool guy some say he was terrible. But that’s the story. Bridgeman was big on sports, this new principal at Northside is not. So honestly each sport coach can be on a short leash at Northside

He remained only as principal Bridgeman remained now that bridgeman had overtaken the position of COO in Jackson Madison school system. Powell was a sitting duck. New principal is not a sports guy

interim coach was HC of JCM in 04-09 and they had good success

From hearing inside sources Powell has been a menace to the kids and supporters of the team. It’s been going on two years they’ve been trying to get him out. Parents finally stood up for their kids

They have been trying to get Powell out for two years now. I wouldn’t be surprised. Kids don’t want to play for him

Though lake county is a 1A school they are consistently in the Qtrs and semis. Some of the Oline has been moved around. They’ll be fine. Lack of scrimmages def played a factor. Secondary was thinking too much last night

Gotta clean up the secondary. Our front 7 is stout. Cordero took a huge step passing the ball from this year. I mean huge step. The run game will gel, we didn’t hold our blocks long. Henry County will be Extremely good this year.
