Loretto & Summertown are in District 10 next year. They will play a sub-State against middle Tennessee schools. State Tournament will be stacked though!

Could we see the same 2 teams in a AA finals next year?

I would think since there were 4 teams left when they shut it down that they would have made the 4 teams Co-State Champs and bought each school a ball.

How special was that team of Greenfield? I think Gold Balls determine special and from looking at the records I believe they had a total of ZERO golden Balls

Volleyball was Summertown- Loretto in Finals. Basketball could be the same. Bet this has never happened where same 2 schools played for 2 championships in the same season. Lawrence County has some talent in Girls sports!

Loretto goes to Alabama Christmas tournament and beats #1 ranked 4A team by 31 then beats team by 30 in second round. Don’t overlook the Lady Mustangs if the season can get to some kinda normal!

Matchup Number 6 for District 12 foes Summertown-Loretto winners Bracket Finals. State Titles the last 2 years from these 2. Loretto 0-5 this year with some competitive Matches. The Colors in Crowd will be Black and Blue. Some of the players will be Black and Blue after this one is over as hard as these 2 teams play!

Who is the only girls basketball team to advance to the state tournament in every decade since the start in the late 1950’s? So who has been to the state tournament in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s 2000’s, 10’s and now the 20’s? The Loretto Mustangs! Only girls team to be in the state tournament each decade since inception.

It’s a disgrace to women’s basketball the way Huntingdon played the in the championship. Weathers hitting the floor at least 10 times. Knocking her mask off at least 2 times on purpose. Son watched dad do it in the championship and thought he would beat the girl down. Sad night!

Your looking for excuses early! Enrollment was locked in four years ago, Loretto is not the largest single A team in the state. Your just picking your nose and hoping something falls out.

Loretto looking for 5th in a row over Summertown tonight. Game will be physical, if Referees call all the fouls fans ears will be hurting tonight. Look for the mustangs to pull away in the fourth quarter.

I believe Loretto beat Greenfield last year in the semifinals. And I believe neither had a senior. So I would put Loretto ahead of Greenfield at this point in the season.

You know how half the bracket will be just not the locations. Loretto and Summertown will be in opposite sides of the bracket along with Greenfield and Gibson County in opposite sides.

Weathers would make Riverdale better. She has had better training for a kid in this generation than any high school girl in Tennessee. She probably won’t win the award this year but watch out the next 3 years. I don’t believe we have ever had a 3x winner of this award but she has a chance. She is about as athletic as any girl in Tennessee and her mother has done a tremendous job training her skills. In 4 years of starting in public basketball 3 years of middle school and 1 year of high school she is something like 89-5. If I get first pick building a team in Tennessee she gets my pick.
