  1. Hoping to see Oak Ridge back in the state finals this year. It would be nice to see the women and men from OR in the finals. And that is a real possibility.
  2. Caden Mills should win this hands down.
  3. Courtney Pritchett would be my pick in A. Unlike many coaches with players nominated, her coach does not play her in blowout games to pad her stats. I have seen several of the girls in AA and AAA playing third quarter when their teams are up by 40. That's ridiculous, and I would not vote for that player because of that reason. Courtney does not see many of those kind of minutes, thus her stats are not as padded
  4. Those are the three that I also believe should get nominated. Any of the three would be deserving of winning the award. The stats for Rhyne Howard are great, but no more impressive than Brinae. Brinae not only has played in the state tournament, but has won the tournament the past two years. Also, she is a Vandy signee. She plays in the toughest district in the state. One player that may be overlooked is Elizabeth Dixon from Ridgeway. How in the world can a McDonald's All Star not be Miss Basketball? I am not understanding why her name is not mentioned as a sure finalist and possible winner. I realize the other three are names that were mentioned last year, but what about Dixon? She is currently averaging 24 points a game and has signed with GA Tech. I think she should get a nod at being Miss Basketball for AAA. Like I said, any of the three above would be good choices, but I don't know how you can leave Elizabeth Dixon off that list.
