Go to Bearden Middle at 3:45 and see which direction all of the busses go. They go east. BHS is west. There are also busses there from Emerald youth center, Wesley House, and others. Probably 90% of BMS students are not zoned for BHS. Name the middle school that is east of BMS all the way to UT Campus. There is not one. There used to be Tyson Jr High but it's been closed for years. BHS gets fed students from West Valley and maybe some from CBMS. BMS mainly feeds into West High School and some other High Schools.

I have heard that the Carter Head Football Coach has applied and also Rusty Bradley has applied.

What middle school are you talking about that Bearden is loosing so many players from.

The BHS administration, Coach Jones, the football coaching staff, and selected parents have turned BHS football into a glorified AAU club football playing TSSAA sanctioned football. What's next, some weekend travel tournaments off the books in Florida?

So Shadowens style will attract this talent? Plus the state title runs were recruited players playing in the public division. Mathews never recruited enough talent to win a state championship in the private division you all should have been playing in. You all at Knoxville Catholic can't compete for a state championship in the division your playing in now.

If it was up to the judge l think you are talking about, he actually was against hiring Mathews the first time around. He wanted Knox Catholic to hire Mark Pemberton again. He said Pemberton was hard to get along with but he thought Pemberton was a hard nosed physical football coach. The judge thought that was the kind of Coach Knox Catholic needed.

Knoxville Catholic has dropped to an all time low. Maybe they are planing on going back to the public division.

Watch out, they will run out on you when things get hard or turn bad. They did it to Campbell Co when they were in HS. Then CCo takes them back to run the program and when things got hard and turned bad they ran out on CCo again.

So throw some names out there that you think can get HVA back to competing with the other Knox County Schools and surrounding counties for Ws and players. You have to compete and succeed close to home first if you are going to be successful. Would CWJ come back?

Whiny parents? Is that not a universal problem somewhat at every high school. And if not then HVA must have the whiniest parents in E. Tennessee. Whiney enough to run off a HC that had made some progress. Did these whiney parents just move in the area and decided to attack HVA athletics. Coach Wes Jones had HVA competitive with it's Knox County opponents. Remember l said competitive, not world beaters. Maybe Coach Jones knew how to handle whiney parents and their kids. Just an honest question.

Hey just reading the room. It says the problems at HVA didn't start in the last 6 months. I don't know him but the school board does. I get my info from Chanel 8.

He had a 100-48 record. That's probably 3 years or more. Don't keep up with baseball. More than likely Speas hired him. A lot of people trying to prop up Speas. A lot of coaches get out when the principal that hired them is no longer the principal.

Did Speas hire the BB Coach?

Well you have to fill up that free time doing something when you get off work at 4 and practice doesn't start till 6.

I have heard a bunch of names mentioned on the T but that is all the names being considered? I have heard Stanton Stevens , Scott Cummings, Brad Taylor and Lee Warren applied for the job from reading this thread. There has to be more people applied?

It was a mess while Speas was there and he was part of creating it and didn't get it straightened out so consequently his was put out.
