  1. Yeah, my buddy’s son (who plays for Hampton) said y’all played harder and jumped on em early. He did say that there was a “miracle” pass interference call that really helped. He said it was the worst call he had seen in a while, but was tickled pink. Laughed about it the whole way home. Don’t blame him. The loss the week before to trinity really hurt them psychologically. Can’t blame it all on refs though... of course you could ask Cloudland, Im sure they are sick this morning. When you get those tough ole mountain boys against each other it can go either way, despite records! I wish that could go watch them play. Sorry, I was talking about HV’s Dakota Cochran. Moving him to the backfield seemed to help them a lot. (FYI-My buddies boy loves young Lunceford...bodes well for the future.)
  2. He can be a difference maker if he gets the ball out in space.
  3. Alcoa is stupid good. Sorry, but it’s a fact. I would like to see them and Greeneville.
  4. AE talking trash? Naw... (They have the best tailgating crew I’ve ever dined with however) I will say that they might be able to score on Alcoa. They have some talent offensively, but they will not be able to keep Alcoa from visiting the end zone... Another observation is that they are two very different teams when it comes to discipline and I believe that is what usually gets AE even if they matched up better.
  5. Thoughts...? A little more interesting than this week, but same outcome for Alcoa
  6. Sorry, I’m not knocking Hampton-really I’m not-but winning against Johnson County by one point was a huge break...you lose that game and your Coach was going to be in the hot seat and I believe Hampton would have lost more games. Didn’t realize you lost that LB-makes sense. #44 will be a big factor. How’s Tittle?
  7. Big Green. Sorry...Not Sorry.
  8. Or...they could always play up to avoid Alcoa. I’ve heard of teams doing that...
  9. I believe that JC can slow Unicoi’s offense down-like HV did. Two very aggressive defenses that really hit you in the mouth. Unicoi can strike fast though. The big question is-can JC’s offense score?
  10. They can run the ball. Also, they have more depth than past years. Hampton has a hard time beating a team when if they can’t play the ball control ground game. They are a young group and have had a few lucky breaks in their season. North has a ton of injured players. Can’t cover the air attack. The only reason HV hasn’t won more games is the lack of consist on offense. They have improved steadily, so I like their chances.
  11. I like HV’s defense against SG. SG hasn’t seen a defense as aggressive-or a LB like #44. It will be a slobber-knocker regardless.
  12. On a year when Alcoa gets Maryville...they usually crush everyone. Don’t take the loss too hard GP, you are among good company.
  13. Horn1 probably lives on Copperhead Road. I did hear through the grapevine that Greenback wasn’t their usual self. So...maybe one more touchdown allowed or one less scored.
  14. South didn’t have a chance.
  15. I hate that I missed this one. That Cole kid has talent. Boone couldn’t stop the air attack...that’s what got them against Etown.
