  1. Yeti - I was at Tyner-Bledsoe. Tyner is definitely down. Got whipped on the line on both sides of the ball. For the last three years in region play, Tyner always had the best 2-3 players on the field with Ryals, Batiste, and other speed backs. Those guys are all gone and when Coach Turner gets in a bind he can't just throw up the bomb to Batiste down the sideline and have a 50/50 chance it hits. Although Sawyer had a huge game against an awful Central team and had a big kick off return for one of our two scores - he doesn't have much help and something just doesn't feel right-lack of lifting and spring ball - missed weeks with quarantine - that may just be an excuse though and we could be that bad. I am a big fan of Coach Tabor and Bledsoe and I think his staff has instilled a hard-nosed, disciplined team that loves to hit and executes at a high level. Their quarterback was light years better than Tyners. I think Tyner finishes third - maybe fourth if the kids quit and aren't ready to play against Tellico later in the year. I haven't seen Marion but I would lean Bledsoe when those two play. Despite Bledsoe's improvement, if TC gets its act together, I am not sure these teams can prevent a H2O/TC repeat in week 3. I don't know that region 4 has a 3rd or 4th place team that can knock off Marion or Bledsoe either but getting ahead of ourselves. Tyner is not very good right now - maybe they will figure something out and battle with Marion a week from Friday.
  2. Don't know that I will ever understand what you have against Tyner - maybe you just don't like inner city schools. Good luck to the Rockets on your season. Hope you are wrong on your pick-not sure what your reasoning is for the pick but we shall see.
  3. Good luck against Trousdale - hope you are wrong on your pick for Tyner-Bledsoe. Maybe we will meet up with Watertown instead of Trousdale for a change in round 2 this year-assuming we are top 2 and can win in round 1. Should be a great night for football in both places.
  4. Thanks for the safe travel wishes. Always a beautiful drive over and a wonderful setting for the game. Some of the Tyner players are not used to the smells of the surrounding pastures and fresh cut hay but I think almost any place you play in the Sequatchie Valley is a great place for Friday night football. Hope the Rams are ready and looking for a great game.
  5. Bledsoe is well coached and has some tough kids. No scrimmages, 7 v 7, and one less game with a new QB could tilt this towards the Pikeville boys. I think Tyner has enough better athletes and Jeremiah Sawyer should be the difference maker. Could be a real defensive battle as I think Tyner's defense will do very well against teams that can't throw the ball all over the field. Tyner's new kicker showed better than I anticipated with 6 for 6 XP, solid kickoffs and punts the ball pretty well too. A big special teams play from either team could be the difference. Doubt that any of the region 3 challengers can beat H2O or TC but I think they are equal to or better than the rest of region 4. In the end one or two of Tyner, Bledsoe, Marion could be in bottom half of 2A top ten but it is a stretch to think they are any higher than that.
  6. Was really good to see football start two weeks ago and to see the Rams play last night. Hoping the powers that be will let the boys keep playing all fall and through the playoffs. Two wins a piece already for Marion County, Bledsoe County and Tellico Plains is a great sign that this could be a much more competitive year for the region. Tyner lost a ton of skill players who were key to three straight region titles in which they were undefeated in region games. How much has the gap closed between the Rams and contenders Bledsoe, Marion and upstart Tellico? Which is more impressive so far - Marion's wins over Fayetteville and Sequatchie County or Bledsoe's thrashing of Whitwell and win over East Ridge? I don't think Tellico has been scored on and I think many would have thought that McMinn Central and Sequoya would have beaten the Bears. The tale will start to be told this week as the Ram Train travels over the mountain to Pikeville for a battle of teams who both won first round playoff games last year while Marion Co. travels to Benton. Lets not let the Region 4 and Region 2 posters have all the fun on the T - what say you Bledsoe, Marion, Tellico fans - apologies to Polk but you all still appear to be struggling - Copper Basin again and Silverdale blowing you out? Really? I like the Rams to win the region again but think there will be much closer games this year.
  7. Tyner lost a lot of playmakers - they may prove to be a bottom of the top 10 team later in the year as there are still a couple of horses in the backfield - mostly Jeremiah Sawyer. Big wins for Bledsoe and Marion week 1 while our game with Boyd was cancelled. The Rams will have to get the kinks worked out quickly with only the Chatt. Central game this week before an important trip to Pikeville to take on last year's region runner up.
  8. Tyner will be down. The region remains really weak and if CDP can really get CJP to help with Marion's game plans as Marion Madness suggests they could take the region back - MM - delusional. Seriously - this region is not good - Bledsoe has a good coach and is building IMO but I'm not sure there is a top 10 team here. Maybe 2A is so bad that Tyner/Bledsoe are between 8-10?? Doubt anyone in this region makes it past round 2 and might get swept round 1.
  9. Great half Meigs!! Finish the drill! Pulling for you guys Yeti!!
  10. Great game - so glad I got to see it in person - Yeti - how in the world do you video the game and text so many in game updates on the T?? Props to you!!! two well coached and well supported teams with great players/leaders. # 7 for TC and 19 for Meigs - wonderful senior leaders it seems to me. go get that gold MC though it will be another huge battle I would think.
  11. Rankins just short on 2-pt 22-20 only 1 time out left for TC
  12. Wow - another great run by 6 - bunch of gamers on both sides
  13. 22-14 TC ball about 25 3:25 left 1st down - long delay for injury
  14. Pure beast mode - Didn’t think Swafford could run through TC d like that TD and 2 point conversion to come - 2 pt is good 22-14
  15. Incredible catch by 15 MC about the 12 yard line 6 minutes left
  16. What a game TD by 2- point is good 14-14 9:08 left somebody predicted 21-14
  17. QB 6 is a gamer - great run - without knee injury I bet he takes that to the house - TC driving
  18. That was an impressive TD run - didn’t think there was anything there 19 in beast mode
