  1. Yep. Plan ahead and you can get a good meal in JC and still get to Blountville in plenty of time. But, as you noted, save room for the concessions. Good stuff. Also, you're right about the Wolves winning big.
  2. Last year West Ridge was good and got better as the season went along, as everyone adapted to the new system(s) they had to learn. But that was a very senior-dominated team. This year's drop off was Inevitable after all of last year's seniors moved on. All that talent and leadership leaving created a pretty big void which won't be filled until this season's roster adapts to the new roles they have. There are signs they'll improve -- they're tough and physical, and their sophomore QB has a big ceiling. But it might take a while.
  3. Boone is a lot better than their record. They'll put themselves in a really good playoff position with a win. It's an archrivalry game, too, and anything can happen. Although ... Crockett got stomped by West Ridge on the 8th and -- with a bye last week -- they've been stewing over that for a while. They should be pretty fired up to play Boone. I guess what I'm saying here is that it's a pick 'em game. Should be a really good one.
  4. Devil's advocate question: If John Good was seen on video supporting what happened on January 6th and/or the former President, what would've happened to him?
  5. Greenlea from the girls team left Science Hill for Catholic. Messmer from the boys team left SH for Providence Academy. It would not be surprising if SH get sick of having players poached.
  6. Please help me out -- what's the tiebreaker in R1-6A if Science Hill wins Friday and they, Dobyns-Bennett, and Farragut all finish 5-1 in the region?
  7. You called it. You absolutely called it. Except for the kicking game. But Carter was crazy enough to throw it all around the yard, and it worked.
  8. It was an a**-kicking, guthook. A thorough, complete a**-kicking.
  9. You're right, Challenger. The 4/5 game is Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
  10. The tournament could be crazy. The only lead pipe lock is Science Hill against Volunteer. Boone plays Cherokee, which beat the Blazers during the regular season, and Tennessee High plays Crockett, which beat the Vikings during the regular season. And even once it gets to double-elimination, D-B isn't an overwhelming favorite.
