  1. I wasn’t surprised by the beat down. Springfield is the best 4A team in Middle Tennessee. It will be interesting to see how they fair against Marshall County. I believe the Yellow Jackets will beat them. I know Tullahoma has a strong looking team as well.
  2. Springfield is rolling! If they can stay healthy, I see another 4A Final run. They need to Win one before they move up to 5A next season. Heritage will have their hands full at The Brier Patch Friday Night.
  3. I hope it’s 57-14 like it was against my Patriots. Springfield is really good!
  4. Y’all are awful confident that Springfield will run Heritage out of the stadium. That’s why they play the game!
  5. Heritage moved the ball fairly well on East Robertson last night. I don't think that is saying very much, but who knows if Coach Dickerson has really opened up his play book yet? A few problems the Patriots are having are mental mistakes. Most of the issues are on Offense. Heritage was down at the Indians 13 after they picked up a First Down on 3rd & 5. On that 1st Down the Center snapped the ball over the Quarterback's head. The Patriots lost around 15 yards on that play and that was a HUGE drive killer. Heritage never scored on that drive. Another issue with Heritage's Offense is the receivers are dropping passes. I know of at least 2 great balls that were thrown by #16 that Wide Outs dropped. Defensively, the Patriots are pretty solid. Like other teams, they need to work on contain and tackling. Heritage is not very big, but they do have some quickness. I know Springfield has a BIG O-Line. Special Teams, Heritage is so-so. I watched the kid back returning Punts let about 3 different balls kick the ground, bounce and roll to put Heritage in poor field position. If it comes down to a Field Goal like last year, I'm not sure The Patriots have a Place Kicker. This is hard for me to say, but I don't think this game will be close. I hope I'm wrong, but I believe Springfield will Win by at least 2 Scores.
  6. I'm no Springfield Yellow Jackets fan, but how are they 9th? They have been in the 4A Title Game 2 out of the last 3 years. They have a lot of their team back this year too. Time will tell the story.
  7. Thoughts on tonight's game? Where will Taylor Groves line up? Can Heritage clean up the Turnovers & Penalties?
  8. Lets see what Heritage does tonight against East Robertson. The Patriots have a lot to clean up with turnovers and penalties. I will say, Heritage were missing 2 key players last week against MTCS.
  9. I do the PA Announcing for White House Heritage in White House and I was talking to an Administrator about this. He agreed TSSAA now has a mess on their hands. These kids should be able to transfer out and play immediately! I don’t won’t to get political, but I hope this opens folks eyes for those that voted for Cooper. I hope parents protest over this!
  10. That was a sloppy game, but Heritage pulled out the Win 23-20.
  11. Ha! Your Blue Devils haven’t done much lately. We’ll see who the better team is this season.
  12. Friday night @ 7:30 we’ll see what the 2020 edition of the Heritage Patriots will look like. The Patriots have 17 Seniors, with 11 returning starters.
  13. So you think Heritage will be 4th or 5th? Central may not be as good as last year. They did Lose their Star back and with him they still missed out on the Playoffs. Heritage should be as good or better. The key for the Patriots will be in the trenches!
  14. No. I said Heritage will be the team to watch in White House. I do think the Patriots will be in mix to be Region Champs. And since I just got a roster from our Booster Club, I will make a correction and say Heritage has 17 Seniors. Also, the Patriots have 11 returning starters. If Heritage does well in the trenches, WATCH OUT! They return their QB, FB, SB and several other play makers. I’ll find out more Friday night from the Press Box.
  15. Heritage will be the team to watch in White House again this season. The Patriots return a large class of seniors (16) and a ton of experience off that team that went 7-3 last season. Heritage opens this Friday night with MTCS. Look for the Patriots to put up some BIG numbers and a lot of points.
  16. In the first round of the Class 4A TSSAA Playoffs, The White House Heritage Patriots (7-3) will travel to Lexington (5-5) to take on the Tigers. The Patriots will look for their first Playoff Win in quite some time. Actually, WH Heritage is glad to accomplish their 3rd and Final Preseason Goal of making it to the Playoffs. The other 2 Goals were to Win the Robertson County Lift Off & Beat The White House Blue Devils. They had checked the other 2 items off their list before well before last Friday Night’s contest against Montgomery Central. Coach Stetson Dickerson has turned this Patriot Football team around in a hurry! His second year on the job and they are 7-3, 3-3 in Region 5-4A Play. Two of Heritage’s Losses were by 1 point each to Springfield & Greenbrier. The other one was a turnover plagued drubbing against Creek Wood. Last season, Heritage went 1-9, only beating The East Robertson Indians at Home in White House. In 2017, the Patriots were 0-10 under the previous coach. Heritage has 15 Seniors and they will graduate a ton of experience & firepower. Some Patriot fans say this might be Heritage’s most complete team in their History. On Offense, The Patriots have Junior Quarterback Will Wilson #16 who can both throw and run. He has some major chemistry with Senior Tight End Trenton Tuttle #21. Trenton had all 3 Touchdowns (2 Receiving & Fumble Recovery Scoop & Score) in last night’s game against Montgomery Central. Trenton runs like a Wide Out and catches about everything thrown his way. Wilson also likes to get his other playmakers the ball. The Bell Cow Running Back is Junior Jackson Mapes #27. Jackson is often called “The Mule.” Mapes will often run up the middle and he’s a load to bring down. The other 2 guys that touch the ball are speedsters in Senior Parker Deaton #8 & Junior Timmy Freel #13. Parker lines up about anywhere, but most of the time he will be either at Running Back or Wing Back. If he gets to the edge, he’s hard to catch. Timmy is used in both in the running game and in the passing game. Again, another burner who, if he gets behind the Defense go ahead and put the points on the board. The Offensive Line is Physical and creates space for its playmakers. Senior Tackle Daniel Evans #74, uses his size 6-3, 320 to clear lanes for backs. Defensively, The Patriots won’t wow you with their size, but they make up for it with their toughness & physicality. Heritage relies on its speed to keep everything in front of them. The Patriots have improved their tackling as the season has progressed. They also like to swarm to the football to gang tackle. Senior Classmates in Nose Guard Dylan Solis #23, & Defensive Tackle Eli Arnett #58 make it hard for teams to go up the middle. Other Patriot Defenders such as Junior Ethan Braziel #55 & Seniors Chase Frank #54 & Steven Hensley #28 all have great noses for the football. Trenton Tuttle is Captain for the Patriot Defense his number #21 is often seen around the football. Jackson Mapes #27 plays Linebacker and is good at getting the Defense lined up correctly. On Special Teams, the Patriots use their skill players to flip the field and give them an edge. In the kicking game, Heritage has Senior Hunter Ward #12. Hunter does both Kick Offs & Place Kicking. Ward will sometimes kick the ball in a directional fashion to let his coverage team get down the field. Punting the football is Junior Jackson Mapes #27. Jackson has a big leg and can often boom punts deep into the opponent’s territory. The Kick Returners are the burners Parker Deaton #8 & Timmy Freel #13. Parker also handles the Punt Returns.
  17. It was a good game. I wouldn’t say MC shut down Heritage. Penalties and Turnovers stalled some drives. The fumble during a real good drive in the 4th before MC fumbled the next possession was key obviously. Either way, both teams played hard and yes it stinks that a 7-3 team has to sit home.
  18. I’ll be there tonight! Its going to be chilly night, but it won’t matter because the action on the field should be good. If Heritage can protect the Football and wrap up on Defense I like their chances. Hopefully, the field @ MC will be in good shape. Heritage has some quick players and will want to hit the Home Run Ball. We all know the Indians game of pounding the rock. I look for a battle and I’m calling for a Patriots Win. Heritage 21 Montgomery Central 20
  19. Good stuff Rip! Hopefully Heritage can pull one out Friday night. Gonna be a shootout.
  20. I think what Brian was saying is back in the day BDP would have had those players that now go to Heritage. In fact, he’s telling the truth. With Heritage being built in the mid to late 2000’s that stopped the “double dipping”. Now only WHHS students come from the Sumner County side.
  21. I’ve heard no one on the radio or tv talk at all about WH Heritage. The Patriots are 3-1 heading into Friday’s matchup with Greenbrier. Last season Heritage was 1-9. Yes, they Won only 1 game. The previous year (2017) Heritage was 0-10! Coach Stetson Dickerson was hired late in the process, June of 2018 to be precise. He had to assemble a staff, try to learn the player’s name and put together a system that fit his players skill level. The 2018 season was a struggle, Winning only 1 game and Losing 9. Going into the offseason I could see some momentum. Coach Dickerson & his staff really pushed his kids hard and made them believe that they could Win. The coaching staff trusts each other, the players have bought in and now they have some real confidence heading into the thick of their region schedule. Still a a lot of football to play, but I think Heritage is a legitimate Playoff team for Region 5-4A.
  22. Good picks! I hope Heritage takes care of business Friday night.
  23. To be fair, I haven’t seen White House play this season, but I have seen Springfield play. They are fast! Yes they graduated a lot of last year’s team, but Dustin Wilson still has plenty of talent left. Good programs don’t rebuild they reload. Springfield is 3-1 with a Loss the first game of the season to a undefeated Wilson Central squad. Springfield plays 2 Quarterbacks, #7 & #5. The #7 is the passer & their #5 is the running QB. They also have a good RB in #9. I was at the WH Heritage game in Springfield. Heritage went toe to toe with the Yellow Jackets. Springfield Won that brawl 42-41. If you’re going to beat the Yellowjackets you better contain their speed. Prediction: Springfield 31 White House 21
