It’s harsh but the truth. Biggest game of the year, and you run an offense that you failed with early in the year, and haven’t ran in weeks? You run THAT kick return play before the half, easily giving Oakland points? And then to top it all off, you have a coach on your staff mouthing off to the opponents players? Resulting in a big cluster? (wouldn’t call it a fight). I feel bad for the kids. They deserve more than that.

Hartsfield is trying to cover his butt. Blaze had 5 unsportsmanlike conducts, Oakland had 0. Blaze can not control their players as they are the worst coaching staff in the state. Tons of talent but have underachieved every year.

Agreed. Think Oliver is a good coach to just name one. And he’s been around the county, so he knows how to tap into those kids.

Fair point. Although maintaining that success in itself may be a feat. Blackman is on the down slide now. Did he have the same assistants at Blackman when he was there that they have now? If so, having the success they had with the coaches they had may be an accomplishment. But, i do think Siegel should likely go in another direction. Get a young guy, that school (specifically football) needs energy. The school doesn’t have real support and excitement around football. It needs it. Dearly
