Thought they played well if not as good as they have all year, hit a couple deep balls that helped DeKalb but also had plenty of sacks, I thought it could've went either way.

Don't shoot the messenger but apparently rumors swirling that Dekalb may be eligible to play and a decision is being made today????? IDK how or any details but that's all I've heard since last night.

Yeah, I'm just stating the reason why they are quarantined, I'm sure you could get by with not reporting it as you have stated and run the risk of a lawsuit against the school, those rules are from tssaa. so that's who the issue needs to be addressed with. You are correct about going virtual, imo that is the best option for sport teams, however what do you do with county rules that won't let virtual kids participate? That isn't the case in DC but have heard that in counties close by that was the rule from those school districts.

believe its a tssaa guideline, a positive test on the team requires a 14 day quarantine, it's happened to multiple schools throughout the year just unfortunate to happen this late, you can be exposed and not play but if there is a positive test amongst a player from my understanding its 14 days, most people wouldn't get tested to run that risk but you can't come out as a coach/admin. and tell kids what they can and can't do medically that is up to those kids and parents,

DC schools went virtual today due to rising #'s mostly for teachers coverage/no subs, sports were still a go when that call was made yesterday, the reason football is down is due to a positive test from someone on the team forcing a 14 day quarantine for entire team. The rule itself is a joke but these are what have to be followed per cdc guidelines. Sucks for the program especially after their 1st region championship. You would think kids could have the choice to play and be rapid tested to post multiple negative tests in a certain time frame could play. I guarantee players and coaches would choose to go through that if it meant they had a chance to play, the change needs to be made with whoever is passing these guidelines, there is nothing the coach or admin. can do without facing a possible lawsuit from my understanding.

Physicality will determine the outcome of this game. I think DC will have more athletes on the field but won't matter if they don't answer the bell. True test this week to show where each team stands.

Hate to hear it whichever side it goes, hope the best for the kids over there and the program. Couldn't imagine a program dealing with a coaching search mid season. Also, if he didn't resign it doesn't bode well for the program that rumors like that are out. As far as the game, has Grundy had any success this year?
