I didn't even start this thread- yet you come at me. So since you are so worried about my opinion- Madison Hayes is completely over hyped and we will all see that next year as she sits on the bench. She has the worst attitude of any high school girl I have seen on the court. She curses players, yells at her own teammates, is cocky, and looks to her dad for coaching instead of you. She has a 3.0 GPA. This award was not based on character or scholastic ability. It was based on individual stats. Something Madison has worked on for five years. Which is exactly why her season is over. Basketball is a team sport. Why don't you go at the person who started this thread? All I did was agree. Which is my right as an American citizen. I have NEVER singled her out or said anything to discredit her personally- YOU assumed I was talking about her when I said Miss Basketball finalist should be able to get their team out of district play. Yes, she is a great basketball player. She has great stats. Congratulations!!! Next time you have a good player come through your gym maybe you should try coaching their attitude- that will take them much further than basketball.

They lost to Stone by 2 points on their OWN COURT in the quarter finals. And I am not talking about just her. I'm not even talking about AAA alone. I asked how many of all the finalists are still in it? I have never singled one person out- that would be her own coach assuming who I was talking about. East Ham is out. Riverdale is out. So one of the three is still in it. I do not know of the other classes, but would be interested to know. I love when people put words in my mouth.

Even with her on the team- they don't get out of region. How many finalists are still playing? I don't like individual awards anyway, but IN MY OPINION the finalists should be able to lead their team to state. If they worried more about team stats and not individual stats their team would still be playing. I guess that's why their seasons are over and the real team players are still playing.

I agree. Cambree and Sloan both played great. Mayo had two tournament games where she had career highs. And played lights out defense. They would not have won the tournament without her on the court. And Sloan came in clutch. She came into PG position and did what she needed to do. She didn’t even look nervous. 0 turnovers tonight!! Not even experienced point guards can say that some nights. Good game by all though. Individual awards mean nothing. They all want the gold ball.

Agreed. But MISS BASKETBALL is a big award. It should be brought into consideration how you impact your team. Just my opinion.

Basketball isn't a individual sport. And I wasn't referring to one player. Madison Hayes is not the only nominee whose season is over.

She scored almost all of her points with Mayo on the bench. She flat out shut Madison down. Walker couldn't miss a basket. The PG was getting the ball to the 2 inside bigs. An almost perfect game by all. Probably their best game yet. Congrats on a well deserved win. Great team effort girls.

Mr Williams has been anti Bradley from day one. He lost my respect when he came into Cleveland and split up an AAU team because he would not let any elementary/middle school girls that intended to go to Bradley play for him. A child. He loses my respect more when he continuously shows his true self at games- cursing Reuter one year and this year the refs. I have grandchildren at these games who are watching and this does not make them look forward to playing high school ball. A coach should be an example and that he is not. It is one thing to have love and passion for the game and your team (like you do). But it is another to be disrespectful- and it has bled through to his team as they act just like him. I do not care how much he turns his program around- I will not support someone who does not teach girls respect and discipline. From what I see the Bearettes have both of those virtues AND they win games- (they do make the news for what they do ON the court at tournaments- not back at the hotel room!!) This is a forum for opinions and I can state mine any time I want. You earn respect- it's not free.

From the local paper- Both Wood and Hayes were unanimous choices by the coaches, but despite their teams being ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press state poll all season, Tucker and Reuter weren't. so once again I am posting facts and yet you want to argue it. Not every coach voted for Reuter or Reggie Tucker. I am well aware that Reuter could not and would not vote for himself. And I would gladly fight Tony if the actual reward would be him leaving town.

Do you really think Blair would get it when she isn't even on the team? The coach has to nominate them- no way Reuter would do that and disgrace his dedicated PLAYERS????

As they all deserved it- and some of their bench players are even deserving as they are better than some starters on other teams- not sure about the cheerleaders as I haven't seen any of them play but I'm not doubting it.

No rumors here just facts. If you have facts to dispute anything said- I would love to hear it. Not jaded or misinformed. Her family's intentions are greed. Period. And from what I have seen Bradley is moving on and playing better ball without said transfer. I haven't seen the coaches or parents on this thread complaining. I can't say the same for the other school. This is a thread about transfers and she is a transfer so I was stating the FACTS that there are ways around tssaa rules- so you move on.
