Fillies need to improve a lot defensively from what I have seen the first two games. Fillies played two very good teams to start season so they shouldn’t panic, they will be fine. I agree good young talent to go along with a good senior class that will get much better by end of season. The games with Mckenzie this season will be some good ones.

Watched tca vs huntingdon tonight, but don’t let the score fool you huntingdon will be very good by the end of the year. Three of the starters were in foul trouble from quarter 1. Looked a little nervous early on. They start three very good seniors and the rest that play are talented freshman and sophomores. Gonna be a good year for the fillies once they put it all together.

I highly doubt basketball gets cancelled. I think we move ahead just like football. There is so much more we can do to limit attendance and require (not suggest) face coverings before we should even consider not playing. I have been to several middle school basketball games already and it hasn’t been strict at all. We should be willing to do whatever to make sure kids play.

I agree it is not ideal for Memphis to have three districts in AA but do we want some districts across the state with only four teams? That’s what would happen if Memphis only has two districts. For the record I’m not opposed to that. If you want to balance it out more for girls you could switch district 12AA and 13AA. I’m not sure that helps out boys basketball though. The region tourney for some schools is going to be a long drive regardless for district 12 and 13. That’s the same all across the state.

Wow getting out of region 5AA and 6AA will be a challenge. You could have 6 of the best teams in AA in those two regions and only two make state tourney.

Looks about right, I would guess Mckenzie and west Carroll would be thrilled with that region. Not very strong on the boys or girls side in region 6. taking out Loretto, summertown and huntingdon changes that region dramatically

AA Girls will be tough. I would guess with Dyersburg in 2A that Dyersburg, Milan, Union City, Gibson County and Westview will be a district. Not sure which district Huntingdon would go to. I will take a guess and say Camden, Huntingdon, Waverly, Stewart Co., Hickman Co, East Hickman. That leaves Bolivar, Adamsville, Madison, Scotts Hill, Riverside in another district.

Fillies will do well in 2A but would be really difficult to handle in single A with the way the breakdowns look. Now 2A for boys team would be very challenging. It would be great if H-don stayed single A.
