  2. From what i see i would say you are spot on.
  3. I 100% agree. I took it that sportsfan53ray was referring to 3A District 12.
  4. I would say the favorites would be lexington , Jackson South Side, and McNairy Central.
  5. East Hamilton over Franklin County Rockvale over Tullahoma Columbia over Hunters Lane Spring Hill over Maplewood Shelbyville over Coffee County
  6. I agree. Congrats on a big win Shelbyville. looks like i may have to change my #1 and #2 spots in region 5 5A predictions .
  7. My predicted order of finish is: 1. Columbia 9-1 2. Shelbyville 6-4 3. Franklin County 4-6 4. Tullahoma 3-7 5. Lawrence County 3-7 6. Lincoln County 2-8 7. spring Hill 1-9
  8. Not from what i seen both teams struggled really bad to put together an offensive drive. The defense on both teams looked good but who knows considering how bad both offenses looked.
  9. You are correct about the #'s and that the athletes leave the county. Last season North middle School had a head football coach that was influencing 8th grade football players to go to Tullahoma high school with his son to play football. Also was told he is now on the coaching staff at Tullahoma. why do you think it was a step in the right direction that Hayworth was hired?
  10. I think Columbia will dominate region 5 5a. Shelbyville will most likely be number 2 and FC or Tullahoma will be 3rd. Columbia will be the only team that will possibly make it past the first round of the playoffs.
  11. Tracy Hayworth new head coach at Franklin County https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=679113040882182&set=a.640354898091330&__cft__[0]=AZWLqwQMbXUZrm56uXnd2bcCOm_pF4-OIVdCsK2jxG3DVYQZWEv1zSowXFgIj_7-6rFXEFa1OfD4RUvN17oGyp8qe4VKHPYz_bjUoy3rwH3KFA0gAzDw-d3YuwDOu5WLtQ6y4MvgWvqCJmsAGGCil3N709Cje1HK3n-I-UmmkVT0X1rEe-fxyPBZLhQMlDuUq9L-VStmltgoOlRug1SE7WpJxSsyNjk97TwX0pB9U2IusA&__tn__=EH-R

  13. I will go ahead and say it. If Knox West beats Daniel Boone Friday night they win state no problem.
  14. He has. He also has been blessed with a lot of talent these past 3 seasons. Some of that falls off next season and even more the season after that. Thats when he will be truly tested as a head Coach. The good thing is at that point he will have had 4 years of head coaching experience.
  15. Ttown58 you are correct. The biggest problem is not Tullahoma its FC that allows it.
  16. If White county struggles in the secondary then FC will win just off of sure talent. FC has multiple targets for the pass game and a solid run game with #11 and #7. One has a strong burst and can run through defenders the other has break away speed. #4,#1,#5 and #8 can flat out make plays in the receiving core. FC O line hasn't allowed many sacks this season and are solid in run blocking schemes. D line has been solid in run game for the most part they have give up some big plays starting in the latter part of the 3rd Quarter and also in the fourth. Pass D is second to none in the state in my opinion. should be a good game. I am impressed with White County they have came a long way and look like a solid team. Definitely shouldn't be over looked by any team.
  17. About seven or so of them talented freshmen went to North Middle School and live in Franklin County. Hope Franklin County make changes with the head coach position at North to keep from encouragement of athletes to go to Tullahoma.
  18. Nope just stating the Facts. I do blame Franklin County's admin. That was my point in the post. The north middle school has been a recruiting hot bed for Tullahoma for years and now the head football coach for North is encouraging players to go to Tullahoma and the admin know this and do nothing . BY the way i am not worried about state championship at this time. Some may be looking ahead at state this year but me i worry about one game at a time. I am sure that throughout last season Tullahoma community thought that the senior class would win state. Deference is that if FC does it they do it with talent from Franklin County. But your right no matter how Tullahoma won state the fact is they won state.
  19. I agree FC should have won by a much larger victory. Good thing is a victory is a victory no matter by how much. Franklin County has multiple threat offense and a lot of good athletes. FC scored 21offensive points and 7 defensive points in the first half. Zero offensive points and 7 defensive points in the 2nd half. In my opinion FC needs more pass plays than go routes with assigned receiver only option and bubble screen passes. FC has more than one target open for every pass play that is ran. IF its there take it if not scan. i am sure one of those athletes will be open.
  20. Marshall county will win by as much as they want. More than half of last years Tullahoma senior team was made up of players from Franklin county and other surrounding schools. They don't have that this year. The bad thing is North middle school in Franklin county has a head coach that encouraged his son and a few other athletes to go to Tullahoma high school, Why in the world would ones that are in charge let a coach be coaching at your middle school that is a good recruiter for a high school that isn't in your county ?
  21. Even though some of the calls from the referees are questionable FC will have to clean up the mistakes that gave them 150+ penalties yards in the game against Coffee county. They also should mix it up more on offense. After about half way through the first quarter FC got to one dimensional in the passing game. FC has a ton of weapons in both the run game and passing game. My opinion is they should have mixed it up more and even with the penalties they would have beat CC with a larger spread. If they can clean it up by Friday i am sure FC will be victorious.
  22. Despite what you have heard about the fight that broke out last season most of the kids on Franklin County’s football team were not involved in the fight. The report that said that the benches cleared was incorrect. At best, 10 players from each side were involved. The majority of them was made up of seniors. Shebyville only had half of the team there because of COVID. What made it look bad is most of the players and all of the coaches were trying to stop what a few seniors started. Point is, why punish players that did nothing when most of the ones involved are graduating and don’t give a darn about the underclassmen. The majority of the kids that did the community service were on the side lines when the fight happened and didn’t participate. I get tired of the mentality that every one should be punished for what a few bad seeds do. Guess it’s just easier to punish everyone instead of the ones directly involved. So no, I don’t think seniors this season and seniors next season should be punished unless they were involved directly in the fight. If they were then ban those individuals from playoffs. It’s not like both teams have a history of fighting.
  23. Football squads team up to help others. Shelbyville Central’s football team, along with players and coaches from Franklin County, joined forces to help the Shelbyville community by recently cleaning up and picking up branches from trees that had fallen during the recent ice and snow storm. The teams met at the Shelbyville Central field house on a Saturday morning and received instructions before heading out to serve the community. The teams cleaned branches and limbs from 14 properties. Both football programs received a two-year ban from the TSSAA State Playoffs after a fight broke out during last season’s game. “Obviously, what happened last season during the Franklin County game was unfortunate and something we never want to see again. We wanted to do something with them to learn lessons and teach our kids that we are all much more alike than we are different,” Shelbyville Central football coach Josh Puckett said. “The opportunity to serve our community in their time of need after the ice storm was a perfect time to let both teams work together. We are very thankful to Coach Justin Cunningham and Franklin County for helping the people of Shelbyville. We moved lots of limbs in a day that might have taken people weeks to move on their own. Our community is great to us, and it’s great to be able to give back.” The Golden Eagles returned the favor by helpng Franklin County’s football team and coaches move a large number of books in the relocation of the adult literacy program in Tullahoma. Special thanks were given to a number of churches who helped feed the teams after the work was done.
