union city lost a whole lot of seniors, and even though LC lost their workhorse fullback and almost the entire line, they return almost all of the skilled position players such as 2-time all-stater brandon springer,damio yancy,sep valentine and others as well, so im gonna go with Lake County to win their first region title in quite a few years. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!

he can distibute the ball well and can shoot even better. he can shoot from just about anywhere across the half court line.very great ballplayer, he just didnt look for his shot this year or last as he did his sophomore season. he is a complete player. i think he will do really well at Three Rivers CC next year

our boys will have a little more motivation after last night. someone(could even be someone from LC) put a sign on our school crest in front of the hs that said Tornado Warning for Lake County,along with a UC flag on our flagpole and had police crime scene tape wrapped around all the trees and poles and things in front of the school

LC by 7.LC should have finished 2nd in the regular season in the district with only two losses coming to gleason,which they couldve beaten at least once.this LC girls team can play when they got their hearts set on it

jmoore, you are definately right about that.the west has tons of talent,especially district 14A.

when kevin copelin is in the game he can matchup with x.he has the size and more than enough stength to get physical with xavier.just a ? if he will be in there or not

how come no one is mentioning anything about lake county.they have beat union city once,they have beat middle college(whom beat middleton by about 20) the onlt time that they have played this year, and they have beat humboldt BOTH times they have played this year(might i add,by 20 at humboldt in the last game).not saying that the west will win a gold ball in a,but i believe lake county should at least get mentioned when talking about who could win it all in A.i know they deserve to be mentioned in this thread.GO FALCONS!!!!all the way to state.DO IT BIG! i have heard from a union city fan that is down our way alot that weddle hyperextended his ankle and they were hoping he woulb be back for the region tourny.just what i heard. they said on the radio that humboldt shot like 70% from the field.when you are that hot it is hard to lose to any team. even before weddles injury(except for a couple of minutes before he got hurt),#10 for humboldt did an excellent job of holding weddle at bay.he kept a body on him all night and it was hard for weddle to get enough room to get a shot off.whitby seen how that pretty much shut weddle down and maybe try that defense if we match up with them again.

hate to say it being a lake county fan, but how can you not vote for marquis weddle in A.averages about 28ppg and without him union city would have a lot more losses than they do.he has single handedly beat a few teams this year.also plays on a great team.ive talked to him once or twice and he seems like a nice kid

Isn't this pretty much the same UC team that was ranked number one in AA all last year and then did a bellyflop against number four seed Ripley in the region. There are a lot of bumpy spots in the road left out there including district, region and substate. And anybody up here in NW Tennessee that thinks that other region with Middleton, Manassas, Middle College and Adamsville will be a picnic in the substate needs to start checking box scores. When it comes to woofing, UC is at the top of their game.

everyone is always on here talking about how lake county does nothing but whine,everyone needs to look in the mirror.it seems to me,maybe just me, thateveryone else is whining because of LCs wins against humblodt and trenton.so like you tell all the LC people QUIT WHINING. LC beat trenton fairly(with NO cheating from the refs,like big wes said,the refs NEVER cheat FOR LC) and LC beat humboldt WITH ALL of humboldts players.no one that gets significant pt wasnt playing for humboldt.can you not take it that the LC defenders shut down your all star transfer(derek sain) held him to 5 points.go whine a little more.. not saying that LC is better than humboldt,we just were on that night.take your loss like a man and try to get your revenge next time we play.id really like it if one of us would step up and beat the team that is apparently in God mode and cant be beaten(in A that is anyway) big bad union city. good luck to the falcons and the vikes the rest of the season and lets show everybody who is #1 and #2 in the district

union city may not have 500 kids in the school,but they are not missing it by much.i forget where,but i read that they are on the plus side of 450. if im not mistaken,humboldt has a bunch more kids than lc does in the school system.but im not crying about that.the union city loss was the worst game that i have seen lc play in about 4 or 5 years so we should have gotten beat.unless lc plays the way they did against uc,i believe this game will be competitive.it is not going to be an automatic blowout just because we are playing a former AA school.trenton beat humboldt and lc beat trenton(which doesnt mean anything) but im just saying that LC has as good a chance to win as humboldt does.if LC plays well,i think that they will pull it out.anyways, GO FALCONS!!! this might have quite possibly been the worst game i have seen lc play in years.we could not hit any shots.it was more like about 30 free throws that lc missed.even as bad as we lost,i still think that we can play with union city.i have said all year long that if we dont play good we would get blown out and thats whay happened.union city didnt look like the top team in the state in this game but they are plenty good.weddle is a terrific ball player,but i dont think he compares to trey pearson from sf that killed us every game when i was in school.it seemed to me like every time he dribbled the ball down the court,it would get hung on his hip,which should have been called for a carry.not saying the refs were bad,but it appeared to be that way every time down the floor.also after he got the tech,when he was walking off the court so lc could shoot their free throws, he shoulder bumped the ref near the scorers table,which should have drawn another tech and gotten him ejected.anyway.CONGRATS to UC for their great game and BEST of luck to the LC FALCONS when they meet again and the rest of the year.GO LC

lc wins,but it really doesnt matter who win s this game.just look at last year.if lc plays like they did against uc on the other hand,they will get blown out again.you cant beat no one when you miss about 25 or 30 free throws and about 15-20 three pointers,not to mention the layups.i know at one point with about 2 or 3 minutes to go in the game lc was shooting like 13 for 35 at the free throw line.they couldnt beat a school for the blind playing that way.anyways, good luck to them LAKE COUNTY BOYS tonight.GO FALCONS
