  1. spot on assessment the one thing I would mention is foul trouble. They have been pretty fortunate so far this year. There has only been a couple games where I noticed a couple of players had to go soft on defense in the 4th quarter to keep from fouling out. The biggest thing the Lady Rebels will have going for them come post season tournaments is confidence they have played a pretty good schedule and wont be intimidated by anyone.
  2. No doubt that is why I highlighted and underlined possibility. Would like to hear more about some other teams not mentioned here that may be coming on strong right before the tournaments start especially some teams out of Region 5 A how is that region shaping up.
  3. Definitely hope I am able to make those games. Shame they can't all go to the boro.
  4. Looking forward to the possibility of some great Regional and Sectional games here West/ Mid TN in class A and AA Regionals GC vs Westview Gleason VS Greenfield Mckenzie vs Houston Co Loretto vs Summertown Huntland vs Wayne Co. Sectionals Westview vs Summertown Loretto vs GC McKenzie vs Huntland Wayne Co vs Houston Co. Gleason vs Westwood Greenfield vs MAHS or could end up looking totally different???????????????
  5. I think they only have 9 players total if I am not mistaken.
  6. The Lady Rebels have not looked very sharp here recently. Had a couple of close games and halves against teams you would have thought they should have handled pretty easily and they looked exhausted when they came out for the 2nd half last night. McKenzie would have had to been at their best to beat a team like Westview The starters have logged a lot of minutes thus far, hoping they can catch a second wind come tournament time.
  7. She got hurt early in that one her and a player from Houston Co butted heads. Was a nasty collision from what I understand both players were bleeding real bad. Not sure how both girls are doing maybe someone on here has more information
  8. McKenzie has had one of their starting guards out this week due to head injury not sure if she will be playing in this game or not. That would be big loss for McKenzie in this game who already lacks depth.
  9. From what I have seen Mckenzie's main strength is their ability to turn teams over with their full court pressure they seem to always keep themselves in the game even when they are not shooting well doesn't mean this will always be the case. The formula to beat Mckenzie is beat the press slow it down and beat them in the half court easier said than done I assume.
  10. Shows you how much respect we have for each others teams that we would actually disagree on who the underdog is. In reality there probably isn't one.
  11. If both of these teams bring their A game Friday I see this game being very similar to the Mckenzie - Peabody game- very close high scoring game whomever wins the turn over battle will take the title. Also I guarantee you nobody in MCK10 is buying into this SPitt underdog propaganda nice try though.
  12. Rebel folk not buying into that mess we know what kind of program SP has Rebels will be prepared for another knockdown drag out fight.
  13. Yes she played. Greenfield did not get it into the post like I thought they might. Next time these two play I expect a much higher scoring game as they both will have knocked some rust off. This one was a little sloppy at times as you might expect a first game of the year to be.
  14. Agree -my assessment as well. Darby was starting heat up right before she went down definitely made a difference in the outcome of the game ( Jackets down only 4 when she went out . ) Davis for McKenzie appears to be in mid-season form already and seemed to score at will she had 25. The Jackets battled without their leader on the floor but the Rebel press became too much for the Jackets to handle in the 4th quarter as the Rebels pulled away. I agree the Rebels are not as deep but I don't think careful is in their vocabulary. That press is suffocating and I don't see them backing off it .
  15. Yep we even had a little Walmart long time ago.
  16. Rebels kick the field goal to win it at the end of regulation 24-21
  17. LOL! there is always one in every bunch. Go Rebels!
  18. That is why I had them in the #1 slot not to mention the big time players that have come out of Milan - George Kidd, Ernest Fields, Avery Williamson and so on...
  19. McKenzie and Greenfield in the West are probably the top 2 teams. E. Darby from Greenfield and S. Davis from McKenzie being a few of the top players. I saw a poll had McKenzie as the early favorite in 1A. Depth could be a problem for the Lady Rebels this year but the starting 5 are pretty darn good. Greenfield added a post player this year so they will be improved. Don't see McKenzie blowing them out like last year.
  20. 3 Ships 3 Runner ups if I'm correct pretty good IMO.
  21. I could see the Wills kid winning as well he is a one man wrecking ball. Tough decision for sure.
  22. DIVISION I, CLASS 1A Seth Birchfield, Cloudland Khalik Ganaway, Peabody De’Andre Kelly, South Pittsburg Marquez Taylor, McKenzie Thomas Wills, McEwen DIVISION I, CLASS 2A Cameron Huckabey, Meigs County Aden Hutcherson, Huntingdon Cameron Miller, MAHS Luke Myers, South Greene Ty Simpson, Westview Predictions Anyone Mr. Simpson could be a lock in 2A. 1A most probably say b/w Mr. Ganaway and Mr. Taylor. The Wills kid is an absolute old school run you over BEAST!! Don't know much about the East TN kids.
