  1. Different divisions AND weights at the moment but if Workman were to drop to 106 post Christmas, I think he’d beat Tran.
  2. Anyone know the dates to be considered 14u down there?
  3. The jokes lose their punch when they have to be explained. I’ll take responsibility for that. I’m sorry that you had to point it out. I’ve failed you all.
  4. Maybe they could’ve used a few of those 8th graders, am I right? …sorry. I couldn’t help it.
  5. I saw that. Didn’t expect it. I know Brentwood is having a heckuva season and I know Tran was out but still.
  6. This might be a dumb question, but I rarely see a large school able to use 8th graders because generally for a school to be k-12 or 6-12 the enrollment is fairly small. is Soddy’s enrollment close enough to big school territory to be able to absorb the MS? Do they take a consolidated school’s 6-8 enrollment into consideration for classification purposes? im not overly familiar with that sort of situation.
  7. It is. Very. Never says otherwise and I think everyone agrees with it being impressive. Villers is a hammer. There’s no one that can say otherwise.
  8. Still waiting for your answers, sir. Ohhhhh. You’re anti-facts today. My bad. I’ll keep my eyes open for other posts of yours and remind you of when facts weren’t your friends because they didn’t suit your argument. It’s ok buddy. Today just isn’t your day, is it?
  9. Lol. Is it now? Tell me what I’ve said that is factually inaccurate, sir. I’ll wait. Actually, I’ll make it easier for you because maybe words aren’t your thing. I’ll ask a few questions and you can answer them, how’s that? 1) did you or did you not become upset about an error in the podcast that was factually inaccurate? 2) did you or did you not get upset when facts were used in another thread? 3) did you also not then inaccurately accuse me of speaking ill of a kid, which by your own definition in this very thread, was “lying”? One can only assume by the answers that you’ll no doubt not give, that it is not my ignorance that’s showing, but yours.
  10. I appreciate the kind words. I didn’t attack whether or not a kid was a true 8th grader, I stated facts. Never a syllable of negativity towards the kids ability. So, by your own definition, you’re lying Are you selectively outraged on the use of facts? On one hand your upset because Pin-TN wasn’t factually accurate, but upset with me for using facts? That’s stupid. You either have to be all in on facts or all out on them.
  11. Fair question. I too was a 17yo college student, so I understand and agree. If a kid doesn’t go to school at 4 or 5 because of maturity, that’s fine, but if your waiting until 8th grade, then come on, pretty clear what’s going on. Again, my 2 cents. It’s happening and there aren’t any rules against it, but again, don’t expect folks to play along when it’s “My 8th grader” this or “my 8th grader” that, when the kid is older then most Freshmen and as old as most sophomore. That is perhaps my single biggest issue with the reclassifying. I don’t care what grade the kid is in, tell everyone how old he is. Much less impressive when you do that most times. “My 8th grader is undefeated this Middle School season” sounds much less impressive when it’s “my 15yo is undefeated this Middle School season”, doesn’t it?
  12. 4 years? Some take 5. I know of at least 2 that will be driving prior to their freshmen years. I don’t know the particulars in Villers’ case so I defer to the greater wisdom of this board if for no other reason than to avoid being lynched, but there are several others out there, and we all know who they are, that are paraded around as 8th graders who aren’t. Period. heck, some of the 8th graders aren’t even true 9th graders, but we are all supposed to play along and be real proud of them. How courageous. 8th graders wresting those big bad HS wrestlers. I’ll even go as far as Chittum, *gasp* not the sacred cow of Tennessee *gasp* we all watched him in that Iowa v Iowa St dual. The “true freshmen” phenom. Only, he was probably older than the Iowa kid. Too close to home? Ok Bo Bassett is a 17 year old. In a lot of cases, he’s college age. But the headlines are HS Sophomore beats Ranked college wrestler. Well, he’s college age. But we are supposed to play along. Look, these are the rules of the game we all play, and I get that. I think it’s dumb. That’s my personal opinion, however until there is a rule against it, it is what it is. That being said, let’s just not paint it up as something it isn’t. Most of these 8th grade kids aren’t 8th graders. They’re HS aged kids on a victory lap in MS. Call it like it is. More folks will respect it that way.
  13. Yes. Seymour is solid. I’m excited to keep my eyes on them. Comes is a stud.
  14. Not at all. Not jealous one bit and I don’t take anything away from him on the mat. He’s a stud. He’s just not a true 8th grader. Everyone wants to paint these reclassified kids as something they’re not. We all see the posts. “Our 8th graders wrestling high schoolers” et al. The problem is that they’re not true 8th graders, are they? Jaxon Lane is, so to me, he stands out, but the rest are doing what they should be doing because they’re supposed to be HS kids anyway. i know, I’m the jerk for pointing it out. Here comes all the vitriol because how dare I say the truth.
  15. Is it a big enough accomplishment to call him a sensation when he’s a holdback? He’s not a real 8th grader. Heck of a wrestler. Just not a real 8th grader.
  16. That’s what I thought, but I wasn’t sure if they were down so far that someone would knock them off for 2nd. I’m not close to Chattanooga area so I wasn’t sure if there was an upstart that might take that spot.
