  1. Sounds like the first NIL deal on coacht. Can’t wait for the commercials
  2. If they ever put a Bellacinos on Long Hollow Pike EG may move into the area
  3. Can’t go to a game out there EG, no restaurants near the school
  4. Since everybody’s varsity schedule in TN is set for next fall who would they play? They could be the Covid replacement school. Get a game cancelled due to Covid and LC steps in. Could play out of state schools.
  5. Who was the HOF coach SC brought in when they opened? Must have missed that one. Wonder how fast LC gets an indoor facility from the county? JV schedule first year, right? Looks like after that they would be in the district with White House.
  6. Per his Twitter account yes. The school he is transferring to is about 40 miles NE of Dallas close to Plano. Melissa High lost in the 4A quarterfinals this year. They move up to 5A next year.
  7. Saw yesterday that Jackson Ford, the 6-5 soph starting QB for Beech has transferred to play for Melissa High in Melissa Texas. I believe he announced the same thing back in July 2021 but then came back to Beech the next week.
  8. Actually in the recruiting classes from 2016-2020 the State of Tennessee was ranked 10th in the country in number of 4 and 5 star recruits. High school football in this state is the best it has ever been.
  9. Actually the whole county is not very good. WC and MJ both have 1 win I believe. Need to bar parents from coming to games.
  10. Saw their JV/freshman and varsity against Hville. Not much talent other than Blankenship. JV/freshman got drilled, Abner doesn’t coach them. Varsity lost in OT by 3.
  11. Congrats to Torin Baker and Ellis Ellis for making first team 6-A all state. 2 fine young men whose hard work has paid off. Way to go guys!
  12. Saw both games, offenses are fairly equal, Oakland’s defense is better. Pats win
  13. Great year for the Commandos, Region title, 10 wins, 2 wins over both of our biggest rivals Beech and Gallatin. Thanks to Coach Beasley, the assistant coaches, and the administration. But first and foremost thanks to the players. Torin Baker and Ellis Ellis both had individually over 1500 yards rushing and receiving and were named today as co region MVP’s. Luke Manning threw for over 1500 yds and 21 TD’s and was named region offensive MVP. Jack Busey was named region MVP offensive lineman. Also making all region were Jameson Wharton, Aaron Baker, Jaden Thornton, Kyle Duvall, Anthony Christian, Noah Carmean, and Donnell Brown. Coach Beasley was named coach of the year.
  14. Go Panthers, look forward to seeing you next Saturday afternoon at Finley Stadium in Nooga!
  15. Great win for the Commandos against a very good Beech team. As Coach Crabtree stated after the game it came down to 4 or 5 plays. The 3 long TD runs by Ellis, the 85 yarder by Baker, and the fake punt with 5 minutes to go. Great job by the coaching staff and players!
  16. Tough task for the Commandos tonight as they face a red hot Beech team with an explosive offense with Paige, Long, Courtney, Jolley, Hill, and others. Couple that with one of the best DC’s around in Bill Alexander. It’s either bring your A game or put the pads up. Should be an electric atmosphere, looking forward to it. Go Commandos!
  17. Commandos host the Green Wave in round 2 of the 6A playoffs at Paul Decker Field/Memorial Stadium. Green Wave are a much improved team from the first meeting. Lots of weapons in Carter, Merriweather, Brinkley, Cook, and an offense overall that is difficult to prepare for. Very impressive lately on defense as they throttled a pretty good Smyrna team last week. I expect a very physical hard hitting battle that will go to the 4th quarter. Based on the fact that both teams like to run it most of the time this one could be over by 9pm.
  18. I have heard interviews start in Jan 2022.I have heard of at least 3 current assistants at 3 different schools who are applying in football.
  19. Thanks, that would mean a range of 425 to 761
  20. I suspect Sumner County will not mimic Wilson County on how they start the school up. Wilson County threw GH in the water and said swim. To their credit they have done well in almost every sport. Won the region in football, very competitive with basketball teams, baseball, and softball. Sumner County tends to not want to make anybody mad so I don’t see that type of start for the school teams.
  21. Who does the radio now? Back in the day Branson Townsend, then I know it was Spud Taylor. Good luck to the Panthers!
  22. He has been top dog in Wilson County for a decade. Not sure he wants to go face to face with Beech, Gallatin, Hville, and SC.
  23. True, if not for that GH would have played a JV schedule. Another coach in Wilson County got in some hot water over his activities regarding losing potential players. Got slapped on the wrist by the TSSAA. Anytime a new school opens there is always a number of people who will be upset about where they are zoned.
  24. All sports besides varsity football should be ok as their schedules are set yearly. Wondering what the county thinks the enrollment will be. What class and region will the school be placed in by the TSSAA? Highly doubt 8th graders will be given a choice. In Wilson County when Green Hill opened they were not.
  25. Per the TSSAA website for classification purposes Beech is at 1638 and SC is at 1277. Cutoff for 6-A is 1515. Hville is at 1561, Gallatin is at 1754 . Keep in mind these numbers were locked in end of Sept 2020.
