  1. Just curious...what type of homes are football family homes?
  2. Not how 5 Star Preps sees it. They have West at #3.
  3. Will it be a local guy? Someone with former ties to the program?
  4. What is this guy's current position?
  5. Catholic tried to get Matt Lowe last year. Will they try to convince him to leave Powell again?
  6. Powell is losing their entire o-line to graduation minus one. I wonder if they have boys to fill those shoes. They had one of the best o-lines in the state.
  7. HIPAA Laws since QB1 was KNOCKED OUT COLD. Couldn't take any pics...what a shame!
  8. KNOCKED OUT COLD....Yeah, I heard they brought in the ambulance on the field and everything. It also started snowing at that exact moment, and Christmas bells suddenly started ringing. Then the Christmas tree at Crown College suddenly lit up. It was a sight to see.
  9. No, he said there is a protocol, but there is no A, B, C, D to follow. He reminded you that each situation is different. In most healthcare situations, there is no exact treatment. It depends on the injury. You just want to argue against the Powell program. You lost your credibility saying that a coach you do not like will risk his players health to win. Just because you don't care for someone, does not mean you can go around saying they put winning before their players' health.
  10. Would definitely like to hear of these discipline rules you are talking about? As far as recruiting goes, none of the coaches in Knox County have any right to cast the first stone. Saying that Lowe would put his players health, especially a head injury, in jeopardy is just wrong. You might not like the guy, but it is totally wrong of you to say that he would purposely harm his players.
  11. Y'all are absolutely ridiculous. Lowe cares about his boys. If it is true that QB1 has a concussion and is not cleared by the team doc, then he will not be playing. Stop trying to make it like, Lowe will play him no matter what just to get a win.
  12. Would like to know who your "reliable sources" are and what official protocol you are mentioning? The backup QB did just fine sealing the win.
  13. You are making some pretty big accusations...aren't you?
  14. No one has said anything about West not being a good team, or anything negative about West from the game last night. Several of the posters on this particular thread just follow Powell. West has a lot to be proud of. They lost several key players to graduation and have had an awesome season. Kudos to them!
  15. Thank you. I appreciate your insight and updates into the Powell program. There definitely was a momentum shift later into the third quarter. Powell seemed to get some momentum back toward the end. The chips just did not fall in their favor. I think last night solidified the fact that Powell can compete with teams like West. Some people thought West would dominate. I am definitely looking forward to seeing Powell in the playoffs.
  16. Yes, Powell did have some mistakes last night. They had a lot of momentum in the first half and the first few minutes of the third quarter. Then there was a definite momentum shift. Considering the players that they lost last year, I think they are doing better than everyone thought they would this season.
  17. Osunut2....what did I do to you? I never argued that anyone was right or wrong? Yes, I think Powell has a lot of potential. Sorry that I brought up some things I saw during the game. Obviously, watching from the stands and from the television give different insights. I never meant to ruffle any feathers. I appreciate everyone's insight and views of the game. Once other points were brought up, I saw how things might not have been as they appeared. I am sorry that I fully support my team.
  18. Lowe definitely had other offers, but he likes what he has at Powell. Deuce definitely has a bright future ahead. We still have a lot of football to play this year, but next year will definitely be focused on making sure he has an offensive line being that four of the starters are seniors.
  19. Once Rodgers has full confidence in himself, he will be unstoppable. He definitely has matured throughout the season.
  20. Felt terrible for the kicker, but it happens. Overall the refs did an okay job; however, it did seem like none of the calls ever seemed to go Powell's way. A couple of TDs that were questionable. The one the Powell kid caught coming down to the ground in the end zone , and they called incomplete. Then another in the end zone that the refs said he was out. The player swears he was in, but again, that is just how things go. Then the 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Powell just for one player giving a "thumbs down" to the other sideline after a big stop. Like I get it, but I have not heard an unsportsmanlike call all year. I understand if a player has a late hit or is blatantly being mean. However, a team celebrating a big stop is a bit ridiculous to call in such a big game. Both defenses looked awesome last night. One team had to win. Hopefully, Powell can use this as ammunition for the playoffs.
  21. Congratulations West! It was a great game. Both teams fought hard. The chips fell in your favor tonight. Hopefully, we will see you again in a few weeks.
  22. I agree with all your points. I was just giving some food for thought. Thanks for your insight.
  23. So hear me out....are you better to win or lose this game? My reasoning....if you win out, you secure home field advantage. If you lose, then you are put in a bracket with Knox Central (2 and 4 in the region go to the same bracket). Some are saying they think that Region 2 may sweep Region 1. Would you rather have to face Halls or Knox Central in the second round? Again this is all hypothetical...just too much time to think about the different scenarios. Who knows? Region 1 could surprise us all.
