  1. Keyboard truth sayers. Sorry your daddy doesn’t like us talking about him.
  2. No but he should thank his son. Then apologize to the man originally offered only to have downtown undermine a principal.
  3. So your argument is “they do it too!” ? Ok…but they win. Keith didn’t.
  4. My point is that Clinton has only been elite what..twice? Really once in 1992! Yet its two neighboring schools have had many elite seasons and both have state championships. Oak Ridge has a national if I’m not mistaken! In what 100 years of football they still settle for this? Calling this a great season again is very Butch Jones of anyone to say.
  5. Why? Because truth trickles out? That Clinton fans have been duped? That Keith was selected because of his son being on lists of top QBs to watch and not because of his track record? He coached middle school a couple years, then high school a couple as an assistant then he lucked out and got a HC job in Kentucky at a school Union County would beat. He coached for a semi-pro team (which we all know semi-pro is code for men’s league). He was hired over an actual proven Coach and classroom teacher that was vetted by a principal that grew up and went to that very school!? That’s weird and awkward? He had to go out and recruit players to come to the school just to have a losing record? What did Clinton achieve in reality? Nothing. It’s still a losing program. A losing program that went to the third round. Well that’s super duper.
  6. Here’s a clue…the person offered and accepted first was just coming off a state title as a defensive coordinator. The principal went with him. The “mafia” said no. He’s at Alcoa now.
  7. Also ask, what actually went down during the Keith hire? Who was actually offered the job and took it before him? Why did the principal leave for Alcoa? I’m told the rabbit whole goes deep in Burrville.
  8. I don’t have a dog in this fight. I’m just being honest. I grew up in Morgan County and live in Greenback now. I’m just a high school football fan. To me it’s the purest of levels. I just call things like they are. And yeah they went to the 3rd round but celebrating that as a high achieving successful season and coaching staff is very Butch Jones of people. “Champions of life”. What Clinton folks need to be doing is A WHOLE LOT OF QUESTIONING! Why did this talented team only go 6-7? Why did you have to blatantly go out and recruit players to achieve this? Why can’t you develop talent here? How many people have a say so in this program? In other words how many people want the credit for the resurrection? Why do we keep settling for this? How much is going on behind closed doors? And that last question is the the one that deserves to immediate answer! I know Greenback would like those answers!
  9. Powell and AC. Clinton was Absolutely more talented. Powell lost their star receivers and QB. Should have won that one. AC lost a ton from a state championships team including QB and top receiver. They haven’t played AC in a while and with a DI qb and a power 5 athlete they should have beat AC easily. Cleveland? Where is Cleveland now? They went 6-5!! So YEAH they should have beat them too! They proved on any given night they can win beating Oak Ridge…so why not the first time? That makes them a 10+ win team. The talent they had won’t come around until the next recruiting class. And the TSSAA is watching closely now…so good luck with that. Also I’m sure the local players and parents are a little tired of losing out to a recruit. They will end up going to AC making AC even stronger since they apparently know how to develop players.
  10. “All that talent on the roster doesn’t mean you’ll beat the top teams…”. -Sincerely Mediocracy “We feel good therefore we don’t care about facts.” -Clinton Faithful
  11. It’s a dreadful losing record. This has zero to do with his veteran status. If you want to give him a free pass because of that go for it…you’ll continue to lose every single year.
  12. And there it is. You are satisfied with being mediocre at best. A very Clinton thing to say.
  13. 6-7 is not a winning season. It’s 2023…and as much as people want to keep race wars alive by making EVERYTHING about that, nobody cares what color he is. He took a team that should have been undefeated or pretty close and went 6-7. All you see is 3rd round. I see 6-7 and they beat an Oak Ridge team (luckily) because the stars were aligned with magic dragon dust that particular night. Like I said…the Clinton faithful will put him on a pedestal and say oh thank you Coach Keith for bringing us back. Then we will say, oh you must have finally beat AC? ….well no. Then you must have had a winning season at least? Well, no..we went 6-7. But we went to the 3rd round! congrats Clinton.
  14. But by all means keep him though. That way AC has a sure win each year and Clinton and Karns can battle to be the worst every season. They should make it a rivalry, “The Battle to not be last place”.
  15. Did you not listen to the guy calling the game? He said it’s “been a magical fun season” and “Coach Keith has brought the Dragons back…” back to what? Another losing season? 3rd round sounds great until you see 6-7 next to it.
  16. And they lose with the Clintoniest thing they can do…another fight. Culture. A 6-7 season made a fan base happy when in reality that team had the athleticism to have been undefeated going into this game. You call Keith a savior..the rest of us see the poser of a coach he is. 6-7 losing season on a banner for the gym will look great next to the zero other banners.
  17. Keith will leave. It's already in the works. Now he gets to leave a hero instead of a clown. Even though his record is still laughable.
  18. I'm taking Greeneville by a touchdown. I just think this year's AC team will be outlasted.
  19. Justin Long is a really really good football mind I'm told. He spent a lot of time with Black at Fulton. He played under Sparks at Carson Newman I think. People that know him say he is a player's coach. Fulton kids need a coach like that. He would be perfect. Plus it's 2023....has Fulton ever had an African American coach before?
  20. No it has a lot to do with Josh J at Bearden. I'm saying that if they want those players again for the most part a rezoning would benefit them. They wouldn't HAVE to rely on a JJ recruitment class as much.
  21. The zones still matter. Just not like they used to. If the better athletes are zoned for your school it easier to get them. You don’t have to go out looking. That’s the issue now at Fulton.
  22. That’s Josh Jone’s offense…let’s not be silly.
