I am not running down Columbia; I am a really good friend of Coach Collie. I am just stating what I think, which could be totally wrong. Believe me, I really would like to see either team win and it will happen. I am just for the Midstate! Sorry if I offended you, didn't mean to.

By the way, we were in the state 3 out of the last 4 years; don't go jabbing our guys. I really don't care who wins the game; I was just saying what I think. It may be wrong, but I have an unbiased opinion, but you do not. I am not trying to be obtuse, but really you are.

Even though I think Hendersonville is not as good as last year, I think they have a better than average chance to beat Columbia. I believe they need to slow the game down and depend on defense. Hendersonville does not have a true inside threat, nor does Columbia - if the officals call the game correctly. I just think Hendersonville, but it is a close call.

I pick Hendersonville by 5. I just don't think Columbia is that good. I could be wrong, but I know we should have beaten Columbia and lost in overtime. I think Hendersonville will be methodical and win. Remember, players must step up and if players from Hendersonville do not , they will lose. Either way, the Midstate will have a team in the final four! Go Midstate!

I think we were right in there, but I believe that Whites Creek and McGavock deserve the ranking. I really was disappointed in our team at the end of the year, but many things were happening. I will not expound on those because it would sound sour grapes. I want to congratulate Whites Creek and McGavock for making it to the Sectionals. They did what you have to do, but watch out for us next year because with all my heart we are coming back with a vengeance! Period!

jozman, I resent the robbed statement about last year. We were behind Hendersonville 16-2 early and our kids showed what they were made of . They came back and fought their hearts out and won the game. Also, winning at Hendersonville amongst all those crazy fans is not easy either. I respect the job Coach West did and I am rooting for him this year, but you were not robbed last year, you just got beat. Thank you.

Hey shadow, many of these guys on here do not have a clue what it takes to be a coach at Stratford. I have coached at Stratford in the past, and I believe I know. I know you know, but you know the school day is not the best. Can they hack it? That is the question. Most I think can not. I know that it could be a good situation for a thick-skinned coach who can handle a different kind of school day. Oh well, we will see.

Smith is qualified for a Metro job. How many Metro people are qualified for a private job and never get treated right? I know for a fact that private school jobs are all political. Is this fair? No, and you know it may work both ways???

Actually, Ridgeway is probably better that White Station, from what I have heard. Is there any validity to this? :confused:

I know one thing, any team that can beat White Station has my vote. Rideway to be 2A State Champs. I believe GC will make a valiant effort. It could turn out different, but just my pick.

I saw the Whites Creek and Hendersonville game. I don't believe Hendersonville is as good as they were last year, but I do believe they are good enough to beat Columbia. If they can stop Wadele and the penetration, I think they will pull it off. They are a little weak inside, however. Last year they had the big Matlock kid.

I am going just the opposite on both, but you could be right. I like Whites Creek's home court advantage. Believe me it is awesome. I think Gallatin is a very hard place to play, also. If McGavock can get up quick, it may be different. Just my thoughts.

I think Brian Lake will be the difference. I don't see anyone for Giles Co. matching up with him. He is a big kid that can shoot from anywhere. Believe me I know; he did it against us! But I hope Giles wins! [Edited by PantherGam on 3-10-03 4:18P]
