  1. Oh Drewcephus, I hope you have hit the nail on the head. I have heard east is much improved from early in the season. I think it will be a good game. GO BIG RED!!
  2. I have been hearing more talk around "Henryland" this week about Munford and an investigation on eligibility. Please tell me that this is just talk. It has been discussed all season and I for one am ready to get over this and get on with the rest of the season. This talk supposedly came from a TSSAA official. Again it is just hearsay. GO BIG RED !!!
  3. My bad. I guess I should read instead of just looking at the pictures. If Munford wins and we play them, it will be at Munford. If region 8 2nd place wins it will be here.Sorry guys.
  4. Sorry Drew, but according to the TSSAA brackets, region 7 2nd place will be home first round, on the road 2nd round home 3rd round and home 4th round. If , I mean when, we win the 4th round we will again play at home in the semi-finals. The only road game in our bracket looks like we will go to the Mound in the 2nd round. Won't that be a blast! GO BIG RED !!!
  5. Thank goodness it's Friday! I can't wait until tonight. I think Munford will have their biggest problem tomight with our D line and LB's. I think they will stay in Munford's backfield all night. It's hard to develop plays when we are disrupting them early. Keep up the good work offense and defense and we will all be there routing for you. Remember ..... GO BIG RED !!! HERE WE COME!!!
  6. Don't forget the much improved Henry Co. Patriots in 4A.
  7. We've been to the Mound and got beat by a good team. We are a much improved team over last year and Melrose doesn't seem to be as good as last year. Or are you talking about bad things outside of the game?
  8. PAPA We did have several kids going both ways in that game. This year, we have very few kids playing on both sides of the ball. This year we also have several other weapons on offense and defense that we did not have last year. Melrose doesn't seem to be impressing people the way they have in years past. I just hope we both get that chance to see what happens. Good luck to Ridgeway the rest of the year.
  9. TraderB It is true we did not beat Ridgeway or Dickson Co. Both 5A schools with one loss between them. The only other team that has played us close is Kenwood which is 4-1 in 4A. We have only played two teams with losing records while Melrose has only played one team with a winning record. I know that you can't tell much about teams from comparing opponents even common opponents, but I think Henry will come out of the region 7-8 bracket victorious. If we don't beat Melrose it will be because they weren't there. Hope that we get that rematch in the third round, I would love to come to the Mound. It is true football tradition there. Good luck the rest of the season and I hope both of us are there in November.
  10. That's O.K. We have gotten over ours. Maybe ya'll can overcome that before you come to "Henryland". Then you can get it all over again when we win. It is not fun listening to fans gripe and complain, but you have some of them in every crowd. Thank goodness they are few and far between here. Good luck Friday.
  11. OMW, The team from Henry Co. is making a good try at running the gauntlet in 7-4A. We would love to have another chance to come to the Mound and give Melrose a run for their money. We had a great experience there last year and played Melrose as close as anyone until the semifinals. We are a much improved team over last year with many more weapons than the QB we had last year and he is back this year as well. Good luck and hope to see you in November.
  12. Yanker Do I sense a little dissention in Cougarland? Hope ya'll are not getting a "urinal coaching staff."
  13. The only atmosphere that was "not so good" was the one on here. The air in Paris has been nothing but positive as is evedent with the crowd making the road trips every Friday evening. The "fans" are definitely hard core.
  14. True, this Friday will be a good game . HC is playing in it. HC should beat Brighton handily. Matter of fact, This will set the tone for the number 2 spot in the region between Brighton and JCM. That is if Jcm can beat Munford. HC not only thinks they can beat JCM, they will be victorious on Oct. 13. The Cougars seem to be struggling with mediocre teams. I hope the short highlight clip from the Jackson Sun is not all the highlights from the game. JCM was not to impressive. I'll be pulling for the Cougars Friday night so our win on Oct. 13 will be that much sweeter. Good luck this week and remember... GO BIG RED!!
  15. G'Day mates. What a great game Friday night in Clarksville. Our Boys put the hat on some folks. I bet Kenwood knew they had played some ball by Saturday morning. Yes, we are a little behind in the series with Haywood, but it doesn't matter. We are going to beat JCM just as we did Haywood in the jamboree even though JCM may be ahead in the "history book". I think JCM could possibly end up second if not third in the region.
  16. It is true, there are problems in Henryland---Not enough seats in the stadium on friday nights, not enough time to post on Coacht, no more competition in the region, no red shirts at the retailers in town, etc. But that's where the trouble ends. Have a good day and remember.... GO BIG RED!!
  17. Yes, I do remember Xavier. They were awesome running backs. JCM has always had a good stock of RB's over the years. Everyone get out tonight and come to the game. The weather is great, the team is fired up, the tail-gaters are getting ready, ain't it great to be in Henry County on Friday Night GO BIG RED!!
  18. My dear "Horseheaded" friend, I believe I said our kids did not quit no matter what and you will see that the remainder of the season especially on 10-13-06!I know the Clinic bowl doesn't exist, but you know what I'm talking about. We'll be there what ever it is called. You said you graduated over 25 years ago, do you remember a RB named Rodney Butler? Good luck tonight at the ROCK! GO BIG RED!!
  19. I believe the cougars had a little quit in them against Melrose last year.
  20. Sure it is! HC has the best fans in the whole state. This "one horse town" is football all the way. We have some of the best coaches in the state and the athletes with the most heart. These kids will never quit, unlike some(hint, hint) no matter what the score is or what quarter it is or who they are playing. Just like the TRUE fans that will be there every Friday night cheering them on. There are a few fans that moan and groan but I think that it is because they EXPECT to win and just get a little down and have to vent thier frustrations some way and that is just the way they do it. There is no doubt that the BIG RED will be region champs and on their way to the Clinic Bowl this year. That is why HC is the hottest topic on the board. Remember GO BIG RED!!
  21. Folks, I can't wait for the game tomorrow night! The Pats are fired up and ready to kick some butt. It should be at least a two score victory for the Pats. Yanker, There is no town that has more football tradition per capita than Paris. Iremember the days hanging around Rothrock when Union Univ. used to have the Gym next door and run track in that stadium. That can't hold a light for Paris to run by. Jackson High had some good teams, but Paris has always been and will always be a FOOTBALL town. Good Luck against G'town and Keep up the good post, you make the HC fans ban together Don't you wish you were a part of the Big Red Nation. GO BIG RED!!
  22. Sorry Prophet, I would not do anything to lessen our chances of winning. I just figured it is friday and all the prep is done. I will learn to watch and not speak. Most folks would be better off like that anyway. GO BIG RED!!
  23. Stopped by practice yesterday. The kids are fired up. We seem to be working on something for the two DE from RHS. Looked like maybe a two TE set. You know Coach Gaddis will prepare them for whatever is necessary to be victorious. Hope to see everyone at the game early, the players love the atmosphere on Fridays in Paris. So come out early and let them know we're backing them GO BIG RED!!
  24. Hello football fans! Ain't it great to be alive and be in Tennessee. Especially this time of year. I've been reading coacht for a few years but decided to finally post. I've been following the Patriots for some 35 years, through the good times and bad. This year seems to be our best chance at a state title in several years. The excitment is high in Paris, I love it! We just want to welcome all the RHS fans to town and hope you have an enjoyable stay. Went to Orange Mound last year and had a blast, That is football at its best. Sorry the outcome wasn't different. I read the posts oftenbut can only reply every now and then. Remember---GO BIG RED!!!
