  1. Could of should of would of. I'm one case no arrest, in another there was. I guess in your small world they are still the same. Wonder how MADD would feel about that. Check into. Shouldn't be hard since it's a matter of public record.
  2. SS backer, is that the best you can do. What does that have to do with a coach being arrested. I guess you feel you can make smart comments about kids getting into trouble but coaches are off limits? May be before popping off at the mouth you should find out what the TSSAA ruled and who decided the year suspension. Now let see, going into the stands versus a DUI. Which one do you think is the lesser crime. Tell me how that should work.
  3. First this isn't Stanton, but it's expected, typical response from you. We'll see what Mullins does. I bet he'll lie like when he suspened the Hall kid and blamed on the TSSAA. Anyway, I won't say any names, If you want to know, find you one of the "Busted Magazines" sold in local convenient stores or wait a few weeks, it should be in the Oak Ridger under the police reports. Since you don't know, I'm sure Mullins is sweeping this one under the carpet.
  4. Seems like some of the coaching staff get in trouble also. Wonder what Mullins will do about that?
  5. It is a rule. But since it is a technical, I wonder if a player gets two will they be ejected for the game. I was reading that that's the reason in the the NBA it only counts as a foul.
  6. Does anyone know who was on the all tournement team?
  7. For some of you this may be hard for you to believe, but playing football at OR might not be important to some of them. As long as they are not getting in trouble who cares, just support the one who are out there.
  8. I'm sorry, from where I come from if you apply for another job, which you never intend to take, just to get more money from your current employer is considered a ploy.
  9. Don't think it was a ploy. When Joe came back to OR for the 20 year celebration that was held for the 1991 State Championship team he stated that he was looking to come back to TN.
  10. I agree that size isn't everything, but with the advancements of training and nutrition, there are linemen who are bigger, stronger, and just as quick as some of those players from back then. You now have lineman that are just as fast as some of the backs back in the 60-70's. As a whole I would say those players where tougher but it still would be hard for them to face some of todays genetic freaks.
  11. According to what I have read he posted 4.3/4.4 40 times at the UT and VT camps compared to the 4.7/4.6 times posted by Mobley at the UT and KY camps. I think Blanc also was hurt most of the year and also played for a very bad Central team. I hate to say it, but I think the slow times and getting suspended have really hampered Mobley's recruitment. That's just one of the life lessons he will have to deal with. All he can due is go to Kentucky and make the best of it.
  12. Don't know exact measurements, but he has good size and great speed. He played for Clinton the previous two years. Started as a freshman. I think he was hurt most of the year this year with a knee injury. Moved to LC due to guardian being offered a coaching position with LC.
  13. From what I was told, it wasn't a typical hard foul. It was more off this mentality that AC has that we are big ole country boys and you city kids are soft type of foul. The typical mentality anytime OR plays AC. As for going into the stands, his mother was one of the people who was arguing with some AC fans in the stands. It began by someone calling Rian a thug and it escalted from their. Funny how you have a kid takle one of hour players and then cry about the 4th string subs running up the score. This type of behavior and attitude between AC and OR is nothing new. It starts in little league at NAGAF and on up to high school.
  14. You need to check your refrences. He did quit, I was wrong though. It wasn't after the Hardin Valley game it was after the Clinton game.
  15. So what do you want them to do? Put them back in the public school bracket, so you can whine about how they are private, they recruit, etc.
  16. Stein may get a look, but not coming out at the beginning of the year and then quiting after the Hardin Valley games didn't do him any favors in Blades eyes.
  17. Yeah, yeah, yeah, would of, could of, should of. Yeah Lussier just got out coached all the previous years he was there. Let's see, how many state championships did OR go to while he was the head coach. His tenure started with a upset loss to Sevier County in the playoffs and ended with a big loss to Riverdale after blowing a big lead. I guess that was the players not the coach.
  18. None of it will matter in the end unless one of those teams is holding the gold ball.
  19. I know this post is for the game, but does anyone know what Jason Julian the great player from Halls in the 80's is doing now? Is he some kin to the current coach?
  20. I thought this was a Alcoa vs Kingston thread. This should be a good game. Barring a let down in the second half like Kingston had against Lenoir City, this should be a good old fashion three yards and a cloud of dust type game.
  21. Likes like CC might have been there last chance for a win. Well who would have thought that Central and Clinton are winless. Even though I'm a OR fan, you still have to feel for the kids who go out there and work hard each day.
  22. Throw, out who the QB is, OR is definately a better team with Zulliger on the field, just for the simple fact that he gives us another threat. Defensively, Blade has AC number. OR wins another close one.
