Hixson has some great hitters and they got lucky last night with a shot in the 7th, off one bad pitch that doesn't mean Red Bank should be moved to sixth, its to early yet to tell anything and now with spring break no one is going to get much play, we all know that things change after Soddy tournament, that some teams look bad and turn out doing great by the end of season and vice versa so its just to early to tell anything yet.

I have seen so many times how each schools scorekeeping is different. Please coaches get quality scorekeepers that know the difference between a hit and an error the players work really hard and deserve the right stats, in a game last night one team was made to look better than they were, come on give these girls a fair scorekeeper.

I might have this wrong but isn't Cat Hosfield (not sure if spelled right) from Riverdale and did she graduate this year.

If I'm understanding you then there is a few other girls from these schools who would be playing at weaker schools also if they hadn't chosen to go to Baylor and GPS. etc. If everyone went where they were zoned then maybe we would have more schools who could compete instead of just a few. But I think in a couple more years we will see some changes and things will be more even in the school systems.

The Stats of the individual player is put in by there coach or whoever, but alot of the schools don't put there stats in, so these can't be set in stone.

Never can tell what will happen at anytime, The year Red Bank won state they got beat by Soddy there first game by over 10 runs and Soddy beat them several more times in the season, only thing that matters is the end result, and you never know what can happen.

Ooltewah has alot more good players than one, if your going to name the whole SD team why not name the rest of Ooltewah, and Red Bank has a couple of good hitters and a good pitcher coming back, and what about Baylor, you missed naming some really good athletes there. Its hard to name them all, so lets just say that every school will have some good athletes coming back. And Yes Good Luck to ALL!!!!

Sorry to disappoint but it was a really good game, alot of strikeouts on both sides, a few hits on both, but the errors go to Red Bank.

I know that Red Bank plays fri at 430 and 830, and one is in the stadium and one is against Walker Valley but don't know which is which. Ooltewah was having a parents meeting after the game last night, I guess to work out details, did they appoint anyone to send in schedule?

then they weren't hits it was a error, there was one hit that the center fielder should have caught and dropped, and two that the right fielder let jump passed her, but they were counted as hits, so they got credit where credit was due.

All the runs wasn't off of errors, Ooltewah had 8 hits which helped, Red Bank has some young players this year and its taking them some time to get there bats going and the coach is still trying to figure out where to put her defense, but they will come around in the end, they showed real progress this weekend at the worth tournament, they won 3 Marshall Co., Beech, Owensburg Ky, but lost to Hueytown 3 to 2. When you have been State Champs everyone is gunning for you, but this is a new team and it will take time to rebuild and they have a great coach who did it once and she will do it again.

Surely the schedule has been made already, hasn't most of the teams already entered or are they waiting for some last minute schools?

I'm not sure if this is correct but I have always thought it was ok to practice hitting, pitching, fielding, about the only thing you couldn't do was run bases which is considered being in a game situation, I think you can throw to the bases as long as no one is running to them. Probably the best thing to do is not to practice with your summer team, your getting enough with your school team and if your summer team has been together awhile it won't take them long to get back in the swing of things together.

Great job to Hixson, they are a very good team, Ooltewah has won a lot of games too, and if some of the other schools had already played this many games there would be some other great records out there. We hear alot about Hixsons wins but its just because some of the other schools are a little behind in how many they have played, I just hope Hixson doesn't burn out before they have a chance at state, I've already heard they are having a little bit of trouble, just hear say though.

FRIDAY RAIN DELAY

Red Bank started out slow last year, and this was only there 3rd game with a lot of new players this year, they had alot of errors but they will come together in the end, they have good coaching. But someone should teach Tate from Hixson how to sub, she made a illegal substitution and the umps really didn't know the rules. All you hear is how many games Hixsons played and I'm sure that has helped them and the fact that they have almost all the same players as last year, they will be a strong team in there district, but the big question is with all these games and more to come will they last the season, or burn out?
