boorelly, the process is long but we must applaud Chuck for taking the time, forming an advisory committe to try and find the best coach for Oak Ridge. THE LAST "PROCESS" the FORMER A/D was a JOKE. I think he thought it was a make-up call. Not only was it a joke but several fantastic candidates were disrespected to be nice about it. Carringer has too much class to pull a stunt like that. Too bad they feel they have to keep the choices a secret although it does help more coaches apply without making their current employers upset. Roll Cats!

orwildcatfan, peace bro....WE as former players are a brotherhood and family who only want the best for the program and players. I know I have made a few people mad but most former players, and supporters want the same thing. How do I know? They tell me the same thing. You should be wearing a nice ring. To answer your question: my pick is former player and coach Stanton Stephens. He deserves it. He has earned it. He been to the big show. He won't need a map to get there. As long as it is a coach with successful HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE. This means: " good luck Ronnie on finding a new job!" What goes around comes around. I over heard several attorneys talking about a huge class suit if he got the job any way. To bounder...please go with Bruce. I can't afford the cases of pepto any more. To TNbreakers: There have been many kids who should have played football for Oak Ridge who could have made a huge difference. If Peyton Manning was at Oak Ridge roaming the halls Bruce wouldn't have lifted his little finger to ask him to play because of his arrogance. Yes it starts at home but these players don't get to choose their parents. I also know the right mentors and or coaches could have made a difference. You have great kids dude. You are very fortunate. I know two kids, GL and DS, two of the best ever were promised the world, and went to heck after they joined the breakers and never played after their 9th grade year here. That is a shame! Sorry. I hope both of your's have a great year. We did miss your basketball player this year. Did he decide to concentrate on football?

caesar you are right if OR won the state championship with these jokes of coaching there would still be complaining in the "Ridge". Until the staff is revamped with coaches who really care about each and every player instead of the ones who leave hickies on their feet they won't win anyway. Sure they won some games last year but who did they beat when it counted???nota

I agree there must be a school out there who doesn't care about excellence as much as Oak Ridge, and they don't care about delay of game 5 yarders over and over. Under utilizing your players and tallent ? Well.........another story

Congratulations Oak Ridge Players for an outstanding season! The players on this team should be given a gold medal for going 9-3 with the lack of coaching they had to endure of late. What would have happened with this group, with quality coaching, and with the many players that would still be playing for Oak Ridge? peniroo, anytime Gray is "trying" to call plays there is need for worry. Just getting the play in the huddle is a major task. Use hand signals, or send in plays with a receiver with a real plan before the flag is thrown would help the kids and team. Mighty Wildcats win first round despite coaching---- Oak Ridge 31 SC 7 catbooster doesn't like it here but won't go away LOL

Thanks ohreally for your post. The CATPACK only wants what is best for the players and the program. You are not the only one who believes. It really doesn't matter who or what gets credit for the improvement over last year. It IS better than last year. I feel sorry for the ones that aren't reaping the benefits.
