  1. Is that not the winning team? Yes that is the winning team! Is that not the losing team? Yes that is the losing team!..... and it goes on like that. All I know is that Lenoir City was the first high school to do it.
  2. Farragut squeaked out a win at Lenoir City, but won by double digits at their place. Will the Admirals complete the season sweep, or will LC pull out the shocker for third in the district?
  3. I have to go with Bearden in this one. I just don't think it's possible to beat a team like Bearden three times in the same season. Damron is a pretty spectacular player, but he's going to need a lot of help if they want to come out on top again. Just a foot note-Maryville needs to come up with something a little more original to celebrate wins. LC has had that chant for more than a decade, and long before anyone else in the area.
  4. this is a big win for LC. its a good sign when a young team can come up with a good quality win like this. GO PANTHERS!
  5. i myself did not see the late hit, but i know it was late becouse i am a player on the LC offense and was on the way to the huddle when i heard the hit, it was that late. my teamates who were over there told me how late it was, and theres no need for that in a game. just like tackling the back-up quarterback tacking a knee as the clock ran out-there was just no need for it. i don't care what u say about "momentum" and all that, the play was over, the whistle was blown and oif he wanted to pull up he could have, its just that simple. i'm sure when we see the film monday, we'll be able to tell just how late it was
  6. this is gonna be a great game. LC's offense will be tough to stop and the defense is definitly getting stroner with every practice. i don't really know much about campbell county, but from what i've heard the competition level is about the same. good luck to both
  7. First of all, the LC v. Loudon rivalry has to be one of the oldest, and best rivalries in the state, but there are 2 big reasons why i think its looking like this rivalry won't continue-1st of all, the size difference. LC is moving up this year, and with all the new development in town, it doesn't look like the size will be going down anytime soon, and since Loudon is going in the opposite direction, in future years it might not look too impressive on a schedule. the 2nd reason, and probobly the one that is the real reason, is that the rivalry has gotten out of hand. with the incidents last year of vandalism to the LC field and field-house, its not worth risking it more than we have to. stuff like that is the real reason why this rivalr can not continue, and its a real shame
  8. It was disciplianry reasons, I don't think it would be right for me to flat out say it, but it was simply a stupid thing.
  9. I am a faithful student fan with conections to the team.
  10. yeah, i'll definitly be there
  11. Nobody can count out a team that plays with as much emotion as LC, and don't forget that they do have quite a bit of talent too. This years LC team has had to overcome many obstacles, and I believe that if they can control their passion, then the sky is the Limit for them. Good luck, and Go Panthers.
  12. LC and FRA should match up pretty evenly. I think they scrimaged pre-season, and if I remember correctly FRA edged it out by 1. LC has gotten a lot better, but I'm guessing FRA has improved too. The 2 starters we lost aren't gonna help it, but I still think LC can pull it off. I know its still a while away, but I'm takin LC 1-0 in a very defensive match. Good luck to both.
  13. Tonights game was really a pretty good one. I don't thing Eliz. had more chances during the game, but they fought hard and impressed me. I thought it came down to the play of an All-District goalie who blocked 3 PKs in a row. It was one of the best performances I've ever seen out of a goalie. All of LC is very proud of him, and when it comes to a situation like that, he's the only person I'd want in my goal. Oh, by the way, to CyclonePride, he speaks english just fine, but uses a lot of spanish to comunicate with other Hyspanics on his team. It ends up giving him a bit of an advantage due to the fact that he is able to give directions without other teams knowing it. Again, congratulatons to Elizabethon on a great season, and Go Panthers.
  14. I am not taking anything away from CAK, they are a great team that played hard, but, the team that played tonight was not the LC team I know. In the past 4 years I have missed maybe 4 games, and I haven't seen a game where LC came out that flat. I think teams should not take this score as a measuring stick for LC. I sincerely hope that this can serve as a wake up call to them. lcsoccer, if you read this, get those boys pumped up about the possibiltiy they have, you've been there and know what its like. Again, congratulations to CAK on a great game, and I sincerely hope we will see you in the State Title Game
  15. I have been looking forward to this game all season, and was dissappointed when the game in the regular season was cancelled due to rain. I think these 2 teams have been a couple of the most consistant teams in high school soccer over the past few years. But, as for the prediction, I believe both of these teams has a quality chance. No one should count out LC if they are able to control their emotions to how they play the game. CAK is a very talented team who can pass the ball like none other, but, being from LC i gotta give my boys the advantage: 3-2. I anticipate a good game either way, good luck to both.
