  1. I read where HHS had 4 fumbles lost, one at the HL 5 yard line in the first half. Was this the difference? It appears both teams played good defense for the most part, and had a spurt of offense here and there. Sounds like turnovers doomed HHS. Congrats on a good season Hendersonville, it was a big improvement over last year! Commando Pride!
  2. The HHS offense has struggled all year. If they are to win this game, their defense will have to create turnovers and help out the offense any way possible. Franklin has a good offense and should be able to move the ball. All signs point to Franklin having the edge in this game. HHS will have to play very well to pull off the upset on the road.
  3. I had a feeling that the HHS defense would be able to do a good job on gallatin's O. I thought the difference in the game would be if HHS had alot of turnovers or couldnt move the ball, thus giving gallatin's O the short field and good scoring opportunities. I didn't see the game, wish I had, but judging by the score, I guess it was a hardfought defensive game where both offenses struggled to move the ball. Any details besides my pointless speculation?
  4. Is the game over? I'm in east tn, so surely it is. what's the final?
  5. I believe air horns are not allowed. I know people sometimes bring them, but they can distract the teams on the field, and the administration is supposed to take away any air horns that are used. I think it's the same with other very loud noisemakers. Jugs and cowbells are fine. Go Commandos!
  6. HHS's stadium is just fine if not better than Gallatin's. Quality over quantity in my book. And Gallatin and Beech are the only teams HHS plays in the regular season that bring close to enough people to fill up the visitor side. As far as the game, HHS will have to play a perfect game and Gallatin will have to make some mistakes for the Commandos to come out on top. HHS offense has been struggling, and that's not a good thing when playing a defense like GHS. Special teams advantage also favors GHS. Gallatin has got to be favored by at least a couple TD's, if not more. Hopefully HHS will step up and make it a good game with it being senior night and a tv game, but it'll take everything they've got.
  7. This is the biggest game for each team on the remaining schedule in my opinion. A win for HHS gives them the tiebreakers and virtually puts them in the playoffs. A win by Antioch and they are right back in the playoff mix and could have a good chance of making the playoffs. HHS needs to view this game as a win-and-in game. If they win, they should be in. It needs to be like a playoff game for both teams bc this is essential to who will be in the top 4 in the region.
  8. Hendersonville's 3 region wins have come against the bottom 3 in the region. We'll see how they play now that they are playing playoff contenders. They need to step up to the plate. I hope the Commandos take the challenge head on and come out with a win, but they are going to have to play better than they have the past couple of games. Antioch will have the speed, so HHS will have to play good to come out with the W.
  9. Way to go Commandos. This win is huge in the region race even though it's early in the season.
  10. How's Mcgavock looked this year? They still running the shotgun wing-t offense? Who's their playmakers? I know they will have more team speed than hhs, so the commandos will have to play very disciplined ball to win.
  11. How many of the turnovers were fumbles and how many were picks? And also did Roper play? If not, I'm sure he woulda made a difference in the game.
  12. Details please. I wish I was there but couldnt make it. Was beech ahead all game? what happened at end of regulation? How did overtime go? What were final stats? I wish HHS woulda pulled it out.
  13. I agree about the best nickname. Named so in honor of WWII fighters and vets.
