  1. Playoffs--No order 1. Smyrna--"th Dawgs"--everything important is back but maybe a line. Defending state chumps 2. Riverdale-- Can I say more, they're not #1 in the district any more, but they don't fall off much either 3. Lebanon-- Line will not lose much (still have 7 good line-man, TE, QB, FB, and the those twins) offense is strong. Nay hurt on D, but they will replace. 4. Blackman-- Should return a lot. Qb will make a big difference. 5. Oakland-- Much like lebanon. Offense should be strong. Defence struggles. Doesn't that big tackle graduate. THANK GOD. these will not make playoffs 6. LA-- Lose top QB and 4 of the line-man. They mainly lose coach and OC (?) 7. Stars-- Could be better with there starting QB being lost to graduation. He was terrible. Parks was good when healthy. Could be a great job for someone in the future. 8. Worst team in the district next year. They only have Majors. Lose QB, recievers, line-man. Other words, lose a lot of cry babies in the senior class with unrealist expectations. I was just very curious as to why this post was made and then then blocked from any responses Mr. thtruth. I have a good idea who you are and if you want to know who I am just look at my profile. I would really like to discuss this #8 comment with you at some level. Here or wherever. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks !!
  2. As a Wilson Central Parent of a graduating player this year, there is only one way to go after the horrible season we had last year. There was a comment made by a member of Coach T to the effect that we had some crybaby seniors with unrealistic expectations..Well, I have a really good idea who you are. If you have those kind of feelings for the kids that are/were supposed to carry your team Coach, then it's no wonder that they didn't win. The only way to go for the Cats is Up Up Up !! I don't look for the Cats to do too much this year collectively but look for some stellar performances from the likes of Connor McChurch and J.T. Majors. Outside of those 2, it's anyones guess !! Ross Strong could have a great year if he comes out with the attitude. He is a great athelete and has the ability to make a difference!! Good Luck Wildcats from a parent who is going to miss having a player in the game. Signed, Big B
  3. Aaron Scott Shane Scott LeDarian Hardy Cumberland University
  4. You have mine and my family praying. I am sure that all at Wilson Central will as soon as I put the word out. Thanks for posting to let us know !!
  5. Wilson Central High...None other than Dwayne Alexander. Now gone to Cumberland University. He was and I'm sure still is a bit of an ###### but the boys sure rallied around him and he knows how tolead to win. Definate Motivator for the non-motivated and the unwilling to be motivated.
  6. I seem to remember that Riverdale didn't like getting beat in the play-offs either. Since when did non-divisional games decide playoff berths ? We were beat by the better team Friday Night but as the other guy said, there are 10 games in a regular season. One Game doesn't determine anything. I look forward to the Cats coming to your play-ground this year sir. Gonna have ourselves a real good time !! SEE YA THEN !!! CIAO BABY!!!
  7. Way to go Commandos !!! You guys played a great ball game and that guys comes from a Dad to a Wilson Central Player. Your running game is 2d to none I've seen thus far this season. #32, #21 and #6 are definately keys to your good fortune beating the Cats like you did. Very, Very Impressive. The Cats are a no slack team and you guys made them look like Girl Scouts in an overnight slumber party during a pillow fight. As bad as I hate to say this H'ville, our boys needed a large slap in the face like you gave them. They have been running around thinking they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof. You boys gave them a large dose of reality and I want to THANK YOU for that. Now maybe we'll get past this I hate the Coach Crap and the whining and play the Football that they are capable of playing. Job Well Done Commando's !!! GOOD LUCK with the rest of the season to all.
  8. timbdp is very serious !! Lavergne is a very good team, just not good enough.
  9. From what my son told me, MJHS won by one score. Said it wasn't much of a contest for MJHS. Of course that is coming from a player that is on the Wilson Central Team. Bragging Rights Right!!! Good luck to Darrell Johnson and the Mount Juliet Bears this year. BEAT LEBANON !!!
  10. I would know you as Rocky's Dad!!! I sat and listened to everything that you had to say the night of the Cumberland County Scrimmage on WC'S Practice Field and everything you said there has been said on this site. What kills me sir is that you let these guys sitting behind a keyboard running their mouths get to you. I do not know you or your son Rocky personally but you and your father seemed like pretty decent people to me that night. As I stated that very same night, Rocky got off to a rough start with some of the guys on the team with his mouth but, I don't know of a single 17-18 year old boy who plays sports that doesn't have a big mouth and a very large ego to go with it and that is to include my own son who plays on the very same team Rocky does. I do however agree with you that any man that sits behind a keyboard, condemns another mans child and condemns the childs father in public (cyberspace) so that the kid and his friends can read it and make fun of the kid isn't much of a man in my book. I have no idea who the guys are on the other end of this message talking all the trash about you and your son, and I really don't care what Rocky has supposedly done in the past with JPII and with HHS. What I care about is what he does this year with WCHS and in my opinion, that is all you should care about. I know I got hot last night when my son came home and told me about what had been said because he and some of his team-mates were hurt by it as well. I refuse to let some cyberspace RAMBO ruin my last season of High School Football with my kid and the kids that I have been affiliated withduring football season. This team deserves better than that and your son deserves better. I too will be at the game cheering my boys on to victory so if you need me for anything, I will be there on the sidelines.
  11. Definately the Lavergne vs Smyrna game !!! There is a lot of hype about the Hendersonville vs Wilson Central because of the WC Head Coach Aric being formerly of Hendersonville and some kid named Rocky that came with him. The other game to watch will be Coffee County and whoever they are playing. Coffee County is for real this year. The great big 6-11 350 lb kid from Coffee County doesn't live up to his hype though. We scrimmaged them last week and I was impressed with their offensive scheme of things but the big guy was getting blown out by a kid 6 inches shorter and at least 100 lbs lighter.
  12. I think we will win BIG DOG but no by 3 TD's. Aric has a lot of history with HHS and their coaching staff and they know each others playbook too well. If HHS runs some of the garbage plays that Aric drew on paper and sent home with his players and told them that is what HHS runs then HHS could wind up having a very long night. My boy plays on the WCHS team and they seem very confident. Of course if WCHS plays against HHS like they played in their scrimmage game against Coffee County, it is going to be a long night for WCHS fans. The Cats were horrible against Coffee County. I take the Cats by 7. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!
  13. Bhsline73, I think you have some pretty good picks with Riverdale, Wilson Central but where does Blackman and Siegel fall into the pix? I do agree whole heartedly with Lost Old Dad on Smyrna and Lavergne. Smyrna has always been a sleeping giant that has been a thorn in many a teams side. They are always good and they are always tough. Losing Adam Smotherman may have hurt a little but look for them to go far in Region 4 5A. Lavergne may be the real deal this year. These guys are very scrappy and very tenacious and have some real talent at the key positions. (MOVE OVER RIVERDALE AND SMYRNA THERE IS A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN AND THEY GO BY THE NAME OF THE WOLVERINES. THESE GUYS WILL RULE RUTHERFORD COUNTY FOOTBALL THIS YEAR). We then come to Riverdale ! I wish you guys a lot of luck this year. You will need it !!! Too many teams across the state 5A that have waited for this year. Scott (RVD QB) has lost his go to man this year and with the major turn around in the coaching staff I predict problems in River City much like I do at Wilson Central (MY TEAM) who faces the same monster in the coaching changes. This is my sons last year at WC and I know they have the talent to take it all if they can get past the coaching changes. My picks: (1) Oak Ridge (2)Wilson Central (3)Lavergne (4)Cookeville (5)Ravenwood (6) Smyrna (7) Riverdale (8)Gallatin (9)Farragut (10)Lincoln County. GOOD LUCK TO ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES THIS YEAR !!! LET'S PLAY SOME FOOTBALL !!!
  14. This is really so sad !! Seems to be happening more and more every year but it never really seems to have much impact until it is this close to home. The thoughts and prayers from the WCDAD family and from Wilson Central Players, Family and staff go out to this young man, his family and his teammates. GOD BLESS all of you !!!
  15. Hey RavenCat, Why does it always resort to name calling and finger pointing ? It doesn't make a difference where these kids come from (Ravenwood, Riverdale, Brentwood, Wilson Central etc) !! They are out there playing their butts off no matter where they are from and no matter how much money Mom & Dad have !! They do it because that is what they love to do and they are doing it for our entertainment as well as their own. At least we know where these kids are a majority of the time. They aren't out drinking or using dope !!! They are either playing, practicing football or they are at home. I don't know about you sir but I enjoy watching these kids play as much as I enjoy watching my own son play for his team. I think that we should stop being so cynical about all of it and let the boys decide who is what. The boys are the winners in all of this no matter the turnout or any score. At least they have the intestinal fortitude to be out there doing what they like to do and we as parents/responsible adults should let them enjoy it because for most of them, Football will be done for them when they are done with High School.
