When does spring practice start?

Stats do not mean anything come Friday night. How well players execute come game time will determine the outcome of the game. IMO stats only make for bragging rights when these guys are old men, like most of the posters, sitting around talking about their old football days wishing they were still playing! Just my opinion. I bet if you asked the TEAM they could care less about stats right now. Their ONLY concern is winning Friday night. GO BIG RED!!

Henry County is talented BUT we will NOT walk through the west! There are many good and talented teams we must face. As the saying goes - "One game at a time".

Kingsbury (3-2, 1-1), playing without injured star running back Gabriel Hunter (knee), scored 16 points off four Melrose turnovers. Despite being outgained, 241-52, in total yardage in the first half, the Falcons trailed just, 22-13, at the break. Melrose would then fumble the opening kickoff of the second half, leading to a 29-yard field goal by Kingsbury to make it 22-16. A possession later, the Golden Wildcats muffed a Kingsbury punt, allowing the Falcons to recover the ball at the Golden Wildcat 10-yard line before Kingsbury senior quarterback Randy Powell tied the score at 22-all with a 2-yard touchdown plunge. Melrose had alot of turnovers; bad game or caused by Kingsbury?

Kinsbury was tied with Melrose in the 3rd quarter when they played. They were without Hunter Gabriel!! Now is not the time to overlook ANYONE. I am sure coaches will not let that happen. Congratulations Pats on an impressive regular season!!! Keep up the TEAM work and turn up the intensity for remainder of the season. Would love to see some fire on the side lines also!

i would not miss this game. a player from the middle 80's know's this is one of the hardest hitting, toughest game to win. i think if the yanker want's to see a win this year he needs to come to DC friday night. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!

Where do you get your figures? Website shows about 1000 at HCHS. Grove less than 400. TSSAA Only shows HCHS with 1348 total. Grove no enrollment, must be added with HCHS.

Can't quote rule but 9th grade only school has been in existence for awhile. Long before we moved to 4A. They have their own sports teams. I believe with 9th included we do not meet class 5 anyways. We were the smallest school in 5A. By the way, did JCM go down to 3A?

The horn will not affect anything except to pump the players and the crowd! It isn't blown during snap count. If it happens to get blown during snap count the officials make him stop. So as I said, it only serves to pump the crowd. If they are told not to blow it the crowd will just get LOUDER!!!!!! ROLL RED ROLL!!!!( All the way to MTSU!!!!!)

How many times have you seen HC play?

Trade B Have confidence! HC pass defense blew two long pass coverages last week but look at the amount of times they attempted. I realize they will have to step up a notch but they are fired up and the crowd will keep them that way. They are more fired up for this than Melrose. They are sick of be being told how good Hillsboro is and not getting credit for their accomplishments.( outside of HC) I don't think anyone on this bored has predicted a HC win, but that is okay, that makes them all the more determined. They are used to being the underdog.

You cannot say the lineman where not doing their job pretexting the QB.

i think tssaa sould test every football,basketball,softball,baseball etc. players in the state.With drugs problem we are having with kids today, it sould be required

The only one that can keep Henry County from winning the region then is Henry County. To all of you Patriots, I challenge you to let everyone know who is number one! Step out on the field friday night and dominate!!!! This will be the game that it all comes together! Go Big Red!!!!!

I guess that means if HC beats NS and JCM beats Hardin County, JCM and Henry County are co region champs?!

Henry County also played Memphis Ridgeway, Dickson County, both strong 5a teams, and Kenwood, 4a team who has been impressive since they beat Henry County, pretty solid nonregion schedule! Wouldn't you agree?

Who has Hardin County played? Have they played a light non-region schedule? That may be why Munford game was so close. HC has played tough non-region schedule. As for who wins region, HC needs to concentrate on winning NS game amd let the rest take care of itself. HC beat Hardin head-to-head, if HC does beat NS and Hardin beats JCM doesn't that give HC the region?

If there were not any football players involved how come coach canceled freshmen game? He said it was due to fights at school. Heard 16 students were arrested. Is that just a rumor?

Regardless, they will have players step up if they need to. Henry County is on a mission, one game at a time. They will succeed!

Freshmen kicker quite impressive! Haven't attempted field goals. Not quite sure why. I think the freshmen kicker's number is 15. He plays linebaker too.

Henry County has a lot talent on this team, QB, FB,RB,WR,TE & OL are all returning from last year, if opposing defenses thanks if they stop the QB, they win,LOOKOUT
