I'm afraid it will be a long season for JC....I have to question the conditioning/workout routine of JC....JC was smaller...slower...weaker...out of shape for a team trying to 2 platoon.

Congrats to the Pats for last weeks win. I was surprised how the team performed once being down 14 - 0 There is no question that this current team does not know how to handle success. They simply haven't had much of late and thus we don't know. Can the coaches and the senior leaders of this team keep them focused and continuing to improve. We will find out in the next 2-3 weeks. Where are all of the Trojan Nation fans. I expect a close game. I'm not sure how this team can handle success.

I think Coach Anderson is going to have to consider putting some guys on the field both ways....Brooks will help. After watching our DB's attempt to tackle...maybe put McFall in on 3rd downs. He made some plays at Science Hill last year that help us win. I think that Terrance should play more offense. If 3 yr letterman that are seniors can't play both ways....then you have problems.

I pulled my post....i might have been a little harsh but my points are very concerning. I'm anxious to hear if there is any improvement tomorrow. Yes I did play for Coach A and that is why i know the veer.

Its hard to imagine the passing reward from anyone if you only throw it 6-8 times a game....at best. Do you really think they ran the "true option" last year...it looked pre-determined to me.

DZ, Is there really a QB controversy or does it just make for a good story?

I think this is the year that we find out about the coaching staff. There is plenty of talent to compete. The staff has done a great job of getting the kids out but now we will find out if they can coach'em up. Glad to see Delozier at DB coach....the secondary was one of the weakest links last year....terrible tackling skills.

I think it will be interesting to see how the offense will develop. It should be much more versatile. I hope we run the true option and pitch the ball more. We have more weapons and should have more speed.

The veer is a good offense for our talent. It would work much better if we ran it 75-80% of the time. You have to give the defense other things to think about.....passing....shotgun.....multiple receiver routes please !!! With CN being in our backyard, surely someone is available to come over and actually teach these guys to run the "True Veer". We have a had a good year. For me, the offseason is key. Will Coach Anderson have the guts to make changes to make his program better....if not, we will be a 3rd or 4th seed type team...for years to come.

I could agree somewhat if we played press coverage that required physical athletic ability. But when we play as soft as we do, I don't think you take carries away to play the soft coverage that has become our trademark. Besides, everybody kicks away and thus he hardly returns any Kickoffs and not many punts.

If Moore is healthy, would you take McFall out or have Moore share snaps with Steele? McFall has made some plays that Steele and Moore wouldn't have. IMO Almost every team we have played has had their best passing game of the year. Something will have to change against Bearden.

3 turnovers or more and we lose. We have done a much better job holding onto the ball lately. If these boys can't come out ready to play from the start for this game, I'm not sure what their waiting on or playing for. JC 21 with 1 turnover SC 14

I hear that the next book the SH coach is writing is "How to let Your Opponent back in the game by going for it on 4th and 5 on your own 40 before half time" . He started his research last night. What a bone head move. He could have gone to halftime 14-0 but instead, he gave us great field position with a few minutes to go before half.

I agree. We used to mix up the coverages at the beginning of the year. Sometimes the corners would press and then back off. Now we just sit back and keep everything is front. Combine this with extremely poor tackling and it doesn't work. I agree with a previous post in that McFall needs to be involved in the defense. He started as a freshman and soph and how he hardly sees the field on defense. That is ok if we were doing better on defense but it appears that most teams have had season high passing yds against us. I can tolerate losing but not when our best athletes are standing on the sideline. I'm surprised Coach Anderson and McCash haven't made any changes. One corner is particular has missed 6+ tackles a game.

What is the background of your coach. Where did he play? I read an article after the South game that sounded very familiar. He sounds like a guy that never played much but has become a student of the game .....and he cannot teach....so he blames the players for not being able to execute his elaborate schemes. How do the SH fans feel about this guy and why do you call him Gilligan?

How has the SH QB performed this year. From what I've seen the offense either throws it 30 times or less than 10. Is that accurate?

A win is a win, but JC looked flat and very uninspired. Considering it was a must win to make the playoffs and Karns has had a terrible year, I expected us to come out and execute and have some fun. Defense looked a step slower than usual... maybe two steps slower. Persuit from the backside was non existent. Would someone please teach our kids to tackle. Secondary looked terrible tonight. Soft coverage and very little run support. I hope we spend some time on tackling fundamentals because SH's RB will kill us if we don't get upfield and wrap up. Offense looked terrible in the first half. I heard we were running the veer. It looks a lot like a split backfield that is predetermined. Passing game looked better. Long made some nice throws but once again, it was the 2nd half before we used it.....then guess what....the run opened up.....amazing. Two games in a row without losing a fumble....not counting the 2nd team. Next two games are a must and both are very winnable, if we come out and play inspired football. This team is not a front runner. They seem to play better after falling behind.

McFall is the perfect fit for QB next year .

If DB is 3-1 at this point, I'm betting we don't have to suffer thru this miserable tirade of want to be coaches. After scrolling thru this mess, it makes me glad to be in Jeff Co.....and we'll probably get beat. You folks are in need of a real life.

You are dead on. I listened to this guy's station and they said the last fumble would not have been called a fumble if it occured on their sideline. They can kid themselves all they want....they are just not that good....hard to face after having some success of late.
