What coaching positions are currently open on SCHS football team? Will be available in Jan. after graduation and this football season. Will be coaching at Ezell-Harding.

Untouchable08 from a coaches point-of-view we always will take an extra body no matter when it is. Like it was told before. Depending on the coach and size of the school most coaches will take players into the 1st or 2nd week of games. I also agree with the post that you should go to the school or find some of the other football players and find out what time the workouts start and talk to one of the coaches. Finally, I also respect you as an high school kid for standing up and admitting what you did. Keep working hard and you will find that PT you would like. I would take you on my team.

Just found out today that my little brother Jacob Smith is going to concentrate fully on Baseball. He is one of the better is not best SS in Metro as a Soph. I am a former AHS football and baseball player from 97' to 00'. #10 in baseball and #87 in football all three years. Good luck to the Bears anyway!

It seems to me that Antioch has had one of the most consistant Freshman Teams in Metro the last 3 to 4 years. Not sure what they did this year but they have been strong.

They are going to be young and should be real good in another year or two. I think my little brother is one of those So. going out for the QB position. Right now he is playing summer ball. So not to sure what is going on. Hate the fact I am going to be coaching and wont get to watch this season.

Ezell-Harding here. MP plays week 0 against Giles Co. and then us in week 1. Was good hard fought game last year would expect the same this year.

Can not wait till August 25th. Was a good game last year and hope that we have a another good game this year against you guys.

As a coach that faced Lewis Co. in the playoffs last year, I have to say I was impressed with the talent and coaching at that school. They were all very good athletes and are very well coached and disciplined. It was a great game and thank the coaches and administration for allowing us some time after the bus accident.

Anytime Metro-Davidson Co. School play there are always big crowds and a great game. Ok someone on the board up there must have been that kid on the side line that did not get to play unless the team was getting blasted or a parent that watched their kids team get ran on and wanted to make a difference. What a bunch of bull. You either prepare and stop them from scoring or stop putting them on the schedule. Of course there are region games that you can not control. If you do want to have a rule make it 70+ or 80+ point wins. That would make more sense.

Congrats to McKenzie on the State Championship in baseball. Was there real good game. But I love those words this time of year. Football Time!! As a coach that is the greatest thing to hear.

Young, energetic coach looking for a permeate teaching and coaching position for either Football and/or Baseball. Starting 2nd and final year as non-faculty coach at Private School in Nashville. Will have Health and Wellness endorsement, can also teach Physical Education. Played at 5A Antioch high School and have 7 years coaching experience. I see all the lines for East Robertson. Need we forget that we (Ezell-Harding) 1. beat them in the regular season and 2. was one of 2 teams left in the playoffs from the region after the 1st round. Just my thought process. Maybe thinking to much.

Same issue here East. Waiting till all spring sports are over to get full spring work out. Right now working on lifting and other drills with left over guys. This season should be a good one to watch. Still think we have either the best or 2nd best region in 2A football.

At least as a coach I can be honest about how my team was acting in the first half and not sugar coat it with lies. Harpeth has some good athletes and a big line. Just a tough region to be in from top to bottom. Never threw their kids under the bus. We were sloppy in the first half and came out and played our football the 2nd half and put it away. Just something that happens on a Friday night and you should know that Catfish.

The reason Harpeth had us on the ropes was 1) due to horrible calls and 2) we were looking past them the first half. But if you noticed the 2nd half was pure domination.

Ravenwood is still in region 6 which matches up with the almost all metro region in region 5.

Goodpasture lost a few key players but return a good number from last year. We at Ezell lost some key starters but have our RB and a large line coming back. DCA i think lost alot of talent. Not sure about any one else in the region. Going to be a good year in 5-2A again this year. Should come down to week 10 again.

Let me begin by saying thank you for the nice comments from McNine. If there was a spot open at Antioch after i graduate in dec i am all game for that. I would love to go back home. but if not then where ever my life leads me then so be it. I might be calling on some old friends from AHS to help me out one day if I get my own program. Pleanty of schools opening up. Hope they would do the same for me if they get theirs. Coach Brown i would be honored to work for you and also for Coach Bush anywhere anytime at any school. and once last thing. "You can take the boy out of Antioch, but you can't take Antioch out of the boy!" always and forever AHS!!!!

way to early to make any predictions for this region. Look how good it was last year. Came down to the last week. Might be another one like that. Do not look at predictions never work out that way. Ezell picked last year to finish next to last finished 4th and also beat region champ East Robertson.

Do not overlook Carl Ghettis at Ezell-Harding. Was all state Ath last year. Rushed for over 1800 last year could very well break 2000 this year. Also had close to 700 receiving yards. -

One of the best in Region 5-AA is going to be Dylan Gambill at Ezell-Harding. Manhandled several of the Goodpasture DL in both games we played.

Everyone keep an eye out for two really good players at Ezell-Harding. OT, DL #50 Dylan Gambill and also RB, DB #22 Carl Ghettis. Both of these players should be big coner stones to our offense and defense this year.

Bethel will be getting a great QB for the future in Dallis Dixion. Had over 1900 yards passing to go along with over 600 rushing yards. Great leader and attitude. Hope he does well and they take advantage of his throwing arm.
