He has offers from all the OVC schools. Ole Miss ,Memphis and a couple more SEC schools have been here to talk to him. He just this past week got his test score where Ole Miss wanted it.

Being told Fields is officially out for tonight's game . Win or lose I hate that for Milan fans. He is worth the price of admission

He has not carried the ball more than 20 times in any game all year but when you take the best running back in west Tn away and 200 yards from your offense its gonna hurt. We also lost one of our best offensive lineman this week with a broke leg. I think Fields might try to play on offense but he will be 60 % at best if he does. Nothing you can do but suck it up beat them with back ups.

Same thing for Dyersburg in 3A/4A. They are within about 15 students of being one of the largest 3A schools but most seem to think they will be about the smallest 4A.

25 seniors. We are very Senior and Soph heavy. We have a very very small junior class (8 to 10) but big soph and freshman classes.

Im sure Milan is the better team on paper but comparing scores in high school is useless. Liberty played a much better game against Dyersburg than they did Milan and if you insist on comparing scores look at the Westview scores. East Tn is not the only place that has open zones. Actually Dyer County is open zone. Has not made a difference in football yet but certainly has in basketball. A lot of the basketball players from the good Dyer county teams the last several years were Dyersburg players.

I dont think for a minute some of these score predictions would happen if Fields plays but he is not so we are in trouble.

You do realize that they started the year 3-3 last year ? The competition looks to be better this year with Adamsville , AE and a couple others being really good but If they are healthy and hitting on all cylinders good luck.

Teams look right but region 7 and 8 will probably be aligned differently. Region 7 will look something like this. Region 7 Ripley , Dyersburg , South Gibson , Crockett , Northside , Southside , Haywood

I could write a book on this one. Im sure in this case it was because that was all we had that would work against Liberty's D. The bigger question is why do we not have a better option at QB ? The answer is we do. I realize that we are a running offense but we have at least a couple on the team who can throw the ball. Thats how we beat Liberty in 2014. My biggest gripe with our coach has always been why do you not take one of the 9 RB/skill players we usually have and put them at QB. If you refuse to play a QB who can throw at least put someone there that is a weapon to run. Our QB is a fine young man and a good football player but he is not gonna beat Liberty.

You hit the nail on the head but I agree that Covington has way underachieved. They had absolutely everyone coming back and this year and next should have been good years. I am shocked to say the least.

Looks like the Dyersburg and Milan game will be for 2nd. Unless we put some new wrinkles in on offense Milan will win. Morris is an expert at shutting down the wing T when he has the talent.

That was top 10 material. Evidently no one can read these days. I never said Liberty's coaches were bad. Just like our coaches they are decent coaches. What I will stand by is if you give Counce Sr or Morris 2 years at Liberty with the talent I saw last night , NOBODY in 3A would beat them.
