    Wow

    that's interesting
  2. I don't understand what you mean? I don't think anyone with any sense would argue that Huntington has played a tougher schedule than Alcoa this season. So what constitutes a quality opponent?!
  3. If there is a rule it probably is measured by the max # of quarters for which a player is allowed to participate in a M-F week. I suspect there probably is such a rule, but I have no idea off the top of my head what the # is.
  4. rolling on floor laughing out loud
  5. i'm the clear winner so far
  6. it's a good question, but with an onside kick the ball immediately touches the ground which rules out calling fair catch by any member of the receiving team. So...anyone can make contact at any point in time after the kick.
  7. I know that in college a team MUST inform an offical before they quick kick (much like the old fumble roosky rule). I was just assuming you had to do the same in high school. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. What about if a QB does a quick kick and his leg is undercut in the action? My understanding of the "quick kick" is that the kicking team must inform one of the officials prior to the kick. The QB is much closer to the line of scrimmage after he boots the ball and MUCH more likely to incur some kind of contact by a defensive player. Is that considered unsportsmanlike conduct or perhaps only a 5 yard penalty? Or no penalty at all? This hypothetical situation assumes the QB's leg is still in the air w/out having the ball tipped.
  9. i'm 6'5" 260 and I ran a 4.16 40 th'other day at practice.
  10. I think unless the punter is holding the ball while he's hit it's roughing/running into the kicker. period. (or if it's tipped of course) The real question is, at what point can you "block" the punter? I mean, you're allowed to block the punter if the return guy starts to run a kick back. Do you have to wait until the punt is fielded before you're allowed to block the punter?
  11. I'm changing my title under my name to "Kiss the rings tricks!" (not)
  12. No way William Blount beats Farragut, just ain't gonna happen.
  13. Big deal. Kids are going to be kids. If their coach lets them do that kind of thing maliciously then that just doesn't say a lot for his character. Beat the team you're playing on the field and move on. Bottom line, use it for motivation if you want, but get over it.
  14. Tyner will blow Fulton out if they have any kind of team at all.
  15. assuming that McCallie is disciplined because they are white and rich is pretty ignorant. But it doesn't surprise me coming from someone from MHS. Why else would you assume McCallie is disciplined? Maryville doesn't play them, and they didn't play in Murfreesboro. Have you just heard or what? You can make excuses all day but we all know you just goofed up big time.
  16. I'm so happy OHS got beat. They hyped their team as "one of the best in 5A" with claims of beating Oak Ridge and Alcoa at the beginning of the season. Their loss to Vanderbilt, I mean William Blount was sweet medicine. Congrats to WB and their new coach on the upset.
