Hey, how's things going with you?? Haven't had no internet for awhile so missed you. Whether they win big or lose small it's always exciting when Tigers are playing WM. Maybe cause coach Kelly is my cuz. I know my mom and his mom wouldn't even speak the whole week b'fore the game, it is a family memory I will always hold close. How is family doing?? Hope to see you Friday night!!!!!

I don't think that they were trying to connect the two incidents just trying to make sense out of why has so many bad things happened in the last 3 -4 months to the young people of GV community

OMG, this is heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers for the family, the football team, the whole town of GV. GV is a tight town and a very caring town and the community will stick together to help in any way to help this family out. I'm from GV but have lived in Cookeville since 1994 but I will do what I can whenever somekind of benefit or donations are set up. I'm looking forward to the game Friday night but it will be sad after this terribly incident.

Hey bro., hows things on the creek? Haven't been down there since graduation. The creek isn't the same anymore even though my family is still there. This time of year is rough, my mom would start gearing up for football. Don't know if you were around her much but she was a hardcore Tiger fan and I was so proud that I got her to 6 games when Dawg was a Jr., that boy gave her strenght. I saw your daughter at the Timberloft before graduation and then your son at graduation, man was he looking good and tight, made me wish I was 30 years younger. The creek may live on a while longer. I have a 1st cousin that is planning on building up there, they bought Turtles land. Her son will be a freshman, he was QB for jr. high last year. Long live the Lancaster boys. Yeah, that FC game was the best game ever, other than the outcome I agree with you, hope they are all played with that atmosphere and team spirit. If our fans can only react like that at all games, oooohhh how it pumps the players up. I know about the surprise for the home games and looking forward to it. I was wondering if you had yours ready for action. If you do I may need a little sample next time I'm on the creek. Looking forward to seeing ya'll and tell the wife I said hey. whseagles55isthebest, you have sent cold chills all over me and brought tears to my eyes. I have said before that I never felt the kind of hurt I felt as when my nephew walked off the field after his last game this year. I knew it would hurt but it hurt alot more than I ever realized it would. It was really heartbreaking when he hugged me and thanked me. I ask him why was he thanking me and he said for supporting him, it took my breathe away and then I told him "Thank you for giving me all these wonderful, nerve wrecking but exciting Friday nights" I figured I would not care to much for football untill I had someone else real close to me playing again but I was wrong. I made some great friends on the sideline and learned that ever player on the team meant as much to me in my heart as my nephew. I will be proud to ring my cowbell for the GV Tigers for years to come and I plan on ringing it at several of the WM eagles games also because Coach Kelley (JackJack) has a special place in my heart as well. Good luck to the Eagles next year and hope they win them all but one.

#52 u made a good comment. I know Coach Kelley personally, he is my fav. cousin and a darn good guy. He would not make threats and he would not have anyone on his staff that would do such. And yes, he does respect Smith County because thats where his roots are. But he is not a disrespectful person anyway. I'm sorry it was your last game, I know how heartbreaking that is. I never knew it would hurt so bad to see my nephew come of the field last week after getting beat by 1 point in the last 17 sec. at FC. I hope to see him play on another field in the future and I hope you will be playing on another field also. Keep your head high and pat yourself on the back, u deserve it.

You said it. When a team can come off the field and hold their head high, even if they lost, and not be ashamed, and the fans on both sides of the field can say they really got their money's worth because both teams played great, thats what makes high school ball and Friday Night Lights so thrilling.

If I go to one I'll have to support my cuz at WM. Would luv to see them take those South Carthage Owls down. Oooops, my bad , SC Owls

Good luck to the commanders. I bet it want be as good as last Friday nights game. It was the best game I have ever been to and well worth getting my white shoes all muddy. I better go to Westmoreland and support my cousins team now that our season is over.
