Lost 2 on O line center and right tackle. Right side got blowed off the ball most of the night. left side faced the the big #55 for Betsy, but I didn't see him get by them very much. Left side of D line was hurt by losing tkl and end. Got to find someone to fill those spots, toss sweeps have got to be contained.

I have heard they can review the fight and reinstate players but can't suspend anymore. what's the the real story?

Just want to give the O line credit, without these guys doing thier job and then back to the side line waiting to go back in and pound down the middle again. #52, #56, #61, #59, and #55 great job this year. I've seen holes open up time and time again.

I have heard it will be on IHIGH.com an VS. Does anybody know if the VS. channel is airing it live or taped.

Boone's team is tough all the way around. Everyone hit on all cylinders and played mistake free ball. I'm extra proud of all the playes from Seniors to Freshmen. Both lines looked incredible and the holes the Offensive line made "WOW". Jenkins got the kids fired up for sure. Looking forward to traveling to Central for this one.

Well I am not "kin" to anybody. And I have sit or been standing in the stands every Friday night for 5 years now. I go to some of the freshman games and the JV. I have cheered every player on the field and called out just about every players name when they have done their job. Yes I can just about name each and their number. I'm not one for stirring things up, I'm usually lurking behind the scenes just listening and watching. But don't call out any player or I will be in the fray. The young men on that field deserve our support and I mean all them.

People still grumbling because Sanders gets to carry the ball some. I don't understand? The style of Jenkins coaching this year along with all of the players on and off that field has took them to an 8 - 2 season going into the first round of the playoffs. I guess that is why he is coaching and why we are in the stands. You are right FormerB if anyone knew Coach Jenkins or Coach Sanders then they would know that if he wasn't worthy to wear a varsity jersey or be able to play with the big boys then he would be on the Freshman squad. He has two runs that stand out one at North and Science Hill both were where he flat out ran over people. TH everybody made mistakes not just one player. If you look at our team, we are well blessed with young individuals. We can't focus on one player.

Great game. Vikes are whole lot better than what they have been given credit for. Blazers we are proud of the effort. I'll take a wing and a leg of that black bird. I will still be concentrating on that musket bowl coming up.

I know our Team is not sitting around with the "poor old county boy" mentality. I seen their faces after the loss to South. Each and everyone had the look of anger. They had South beat and lost by one play. They vowed in the locker room to not lose another game. So far they are holding each other to that oath. Might I being eating a piece of that crow, maybe, but my Confidence says Boone wins. If I'm wrong I'll pull up a chair and take my share, but I'll be thinking about the next game.

Ok, not living in the past, but where can I find past scedules and results for Daniel Boone for the 1985 team? I've found them back to '97. Good luck to both teams Friday night, should be a great game.

Excuses, excuses. All that matters is the final score. Not how you got there. A win is a win, congratulate the other team and fix your problems. This thread should have died Saturday morning , but all you hear are why Boone didn't score, how terrrible the calls were. Then there are the dad's bragging on their son's blocks. By the way #50 did not wear cast, #58 did had a brace on??? I'm done Boone's got North next. Good luck the rest of the season.

Daniel Boone beat DB at their homecoming game in 1985. I was a senior, score I think was 35 to 14, again not sure. Boone went 8 - 3 that year with wins over South @ Boone, DB @ DB, TH in the castle, Johnson Co., Volunteer, David Crockett and 2 I can't remember. Our losses were North, Elizabethton and Central. That year we were independent (no conference).

Sanders is a good running back. Jenkins doesn't play the politics. If you put forth the effort and time then you will get playing time. He ran at least 4 running backs Friday against Cherokee, the one that stood out was Sanders. I wont take any thing away from Shropshire, Shepherd or Barker they are just as good and had just as good of runs. To me if you have that many options along with two junior Quarterbacks, you are blessed. In the past we had one threat (Mitch Masters one year, Sky Hicks another) stop them and you have stopped Boone. This year I think if we can stop South from throwing we stand to have a great year. Boones Freshmen are not playing well but, Austin Willis for Daniel Boone is a 6' 200# defensive tackle. He plays Freshman, JV and is dressing Varsity. Several solo sacks and tackles for loss.

Point of interest #7, Mitch Masters, made All Coference Line Backer and Player of the year Spcial Teams. Not bad. Him and Calvin are not that small either. If you don't think so just meet them in the weight room. Mitch squats almost 400.

Does anybody know if any major universities are looking at him?

I played for Daniel Boone. Started in the 60 defense as middle nose guard. '85 '86 season we went 8-3 beating TN High in the Castle and beating Dobyns Bennet at their homecoming game. Boone was an independent team without a conference at the time.
