Well, we should not knock any of the Memphis teams. Booker T. Washington played two really tough opponents in Milan and Alcoa this year. Westwood and Carver played some decent teams as well. Go take a look at their schedules. Just goes to prove how much Milan has improved this year.

Personally, the way that the TSSAA has it laid out, I am looking forward to the Westwood vs. Booker T. Washington game in the 3rd Round. Should be a barn burner. Carver's record at 4-6 looks strange, but they play some really good schools in their schedule. Westwood has played teams like Hardin County and Dyersburg this season.

Oh, this is a toughy. I would have to flip a coin, then draw numbers out of a hat, but I am going to go with Milan advancing to the 3rd Round. I do not think that the Milan team at this point in the season is the same one that started out slow in the 1st week. Much stronger and faster. I understand that some of the Dyer County leaders went to FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Camp in Kentucky the past couple summers. I understand that things are moving over there for them with FCA.

That wasn't what I was saying at all, but you take it how you want to. Milan won. They beat us. I don't do "what if" games. I was looking at what we did that we could improve on. Just asking, not trying to debate. I remember he did the "false start" motion. The difference last night was special teams play. The miscommunication on the fake punt that deep and Milan returning that interception really hurt. Plus missing those 2 Field Goals and the Extra Point. Outside of that Westview wins 31 to 24. It could have gone either way, but it went the way that it did and Westview just has to work on some things and play Trenton this week. Milan has a tough enough road ahead of them. Congratulations. Time for the play-offs girls and gals ... and it seems the TSSAA has thrown us all a curve ball. Let's show them that 8-2A is the one that hits the homeruns. There are no free rides in the Play-offs. Let's stop whining about all this mess and go show them what Region 2A is all about. They could always split some of the Region 8 teams from the south off and send them into Region 9 ... cough cough USJ cough. Besides, 8-2A is the SEC of 2A football in Tennessee. We kill each other Pre-season, Season, and Post-season ... to the point that we have no gas left late ... just got to stay focused and play our game this week. Well, then ... The internet is not down in Martin. We actually have other stuff that we can do here. I just got in from a 5th Quarter at church. My hat is off to Milan. They came and played the game well ... and respectfully. It's always great when two teams can beat the mess out of each other all night long and still pray together after the game. I certainly hope you go make a huge run into the play-offs, but focus on this week first. Championship run starts ... tomorrow when we figure out the bracket.
