  4. Ronnie that was the case for us this past weekend in North Carolina, we were told that all tape was to be removed from headgear. This was also applied to tape used as a structual support to the headgear. This was a quote from one official if it needs tape get a new head gear lol. Miller

There will be many state champions and state medalist wrestling for the top four slots in each weight class.

  8. I to am a front door man and have made no attempts in trying to hide my identity, and yes I am emotional at times when it comes to athletic programs that I coach. Like Smith or not is fine by me but he is our head coach and the community should support him and not tear the program apart at the seams whenever the chance arises. We have a great group of young men this season as well as last year, and our coaches work their tail off each week to give this team the best opportunity to win the football game. I do agree with some of your points and do not fault you for all of our cristicism in the past. Each week I read how all is doubting the abilities of our kids and each week we have found a way to win the ballgame. We lost to a very strong Sullivan South team who has proven that for the past month, and the teams we have beaten are not shabby programs and will all in my opinion make the 4A playoffs this season. Again I say loyal or not to the coach he is what we have and the community can make the best of it or continue to throw apples. I guess that is what I consider a stab is when outsiders think they know the inner workings of the program and what is best for the program. We want what every other topper wants and that is to win and build a program that can be respected and loved by its community. Yes, we will see each other in wrestling this season a few times I imagine since Greeneville is hosting the region. Jimmy Miller
  9. Wow one might think you gave him a compliment, which would be a surprise. I find it odd that you are a topper alumni and you continue to stab the program in the back. I don't get on here much to respond to such criticism of the football program, but I have read numerous post from you in the past and just thought I would throw in my 2-cents. You might not agree with Coach Smith and his methods, but I will say this I haven't seen you at one practice or team meeting so for you to speak about the inner workings of the program is ludacris and just uneducated.
  10. I hate to hear that, hope the injury is minimal
  11. Costly??? Was there a injury during the game? Sounds Odd
  12. Binns, Tullahoma has always been good to me and my family and I will always continue to hope for the best for the wildcats. RB will make Tullahoma proud and do a fine job with his new program. I am not sure how qualified Lester is to coach CC, but with Mathis at the helm you can't go wrong. I can say that RB has made a great choice my joining the ranks with Olive and the wildcats. I call John Olive not only my former head coach but my friend and have the highest amount of respect for him and his program. If you ever want to take a deep look into Football and the way to run a program with character please stop in and bring a notebook. Truth be known I would like to have seen RB take the Tullahoma position last season, when I left for Science Hill. Taking nothing away from Otto which had a great season and accomplished many goals during his year at Tullahoma. I also think the addition of Steve Britton will pay big in the future, along with Bray these two should be able to get out many more Football players that could creep into the line-up after sometime in the wrestling room. I hope to see the Black Velvet Tour in person this season, but I am not sure if our paths will cross Binns during the season. Best of luck to you guys this year and I will be pulling for the wildcats unless their sitting across from SH Hilltoppers.
  13. Coach Bray, I want to send out my congrads to you on your new coaching position at Tullahoma. Tullahoma has a first rate program with great parents and alot of people in the community that will do the work to make sure your program is a success. Try to look over Coach Lester which based on his current size shouldn't be a problem, and beware of Binns Jordan who is your loyal wrestling bus driver and one heck of a poker player (4 on the floor). I think our paths will cross during the season and we can talk more at that time. Best of luck for the upcoming season. Coach Miller Science Hill Wrestling

  19. I have coached and attended the Dixie Duals for the last 2 years in Alabama. I would like to propose that we host some event next year that is similiar to the Dixie Duals. I have seen many problems with the tournament over the past two years. This year it seemed to have more issues with teams using both kids from their teams (A & B Teams) to make their line-up stronger when the team had a tough match. I don't think the tournament has ever started on time and does tend to run over but that is the nature of the tournament. I think we as a state could draw in the same teams from the south (Georgia & Florida) and maybe even new programs like North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. I would like to hear feedback from our wrestling community, because I have discussed this with my fellow coaches from the Southeast United team this season and we feel that this would be a great opportunity for our state.
  20. I thank some congrads should go out to UTC wrestler Cody Cleveland for being named most outstanding wrestler this weekend at the SoCon Tournament in Chattanooga. I know mom and dad our proud of this young man and so should the Tennessee wrestling community. I wish you the best of luck at the NCAA Tournament this month. Coach Jimmy Miller
  21. Congrats to Tullahoma and their wrestlers for the great performance over the weekend in Chattanooga. I want to say it was great to see these three young men be successful and finish out a great career at Tullahoma High School. I am proud to say that I have know these guys for a long time and up till this season coached these guys for several years. I really enjoyed watching you wrestle this weekend and are proud for you own individual accomplishments this weekend and just wanted to say how proud I am of each of them and wish them the best in the future.
