  1. I hate to interrupt all the horrible attempts at trash talk, but thanks for actually discussing the game.
  2. Lexington went to Round 3 last year. They just didn't have enough for Giles Co, they lost 36-10. This Lexington team went to the second round in 2008 and the third in 2009. I think some White House fans may be forgetting that this team has been getting better every year and that they are no fluke.
  3. Lexington went to the semis in '79. Back then it was a whole lot tougher just to make the playoffs. I agree with your first point though. When you get to the third round everybody is good. No one in Lexington is underestimating White House, we know they are going to be tough. bpd079, When you get off the interstate go past LHS and you will end up at the main street in Lexington. The first red light you come to is Church Street, all most everything is on this street. Make a right and it will take you to Los Portales, T-Birds, and The Grecian. Everything else is fast food.
  4. Anybody that has ever followed high school football knows that teams like Greenbrier and White House are always tough this time of year. By this round in the playoffs all the pretenders are gone. All the teams playing now are tough. I watched a 5-5 Livingston Academy team win it all one year, you can throw regular season records out the window at this point. Stop embarrassing the rest of the Lexington fans who have been here through the good and the bad seasons. You must be in the band or something.
  5. I'm pretty sure we had 426 yards of offense, all rushing. Ryan Halliburton ran for 285 yards and 3 TDs. Kerry Sellers ran for 66 yards and 3 TDs also.
  6. I agree Sol. I think it was a very bad call, especially on a 4th down and 4. But, the coach did lose his composer and that led to 2 unsportsmanlike conducts. He had a case, he had every right to be mad, he did go over board though. At that point the games was far from over, after that huge tirade it was over. I'm sure he just got caught up in emotions, but you still have to have a stopping point.
  7. Lexington did get hosed. Every other tie breaker I have ever seen in ANY sport uses the head to head match up as the first criteria.
  8. I hate that my Lexington team lost, but at least I get to watch Milan put a whipping on somebody this Friday. And I did say whipping..... Milan wins like an All-Pro playing the rookie level on Madden.
  9. Giles has a very good team, but overall Liberty has the better team IMO. Liberty wins a close 1.... Liberty 31 Giles 28
  10. Congrats to Giles Co. Your QB is the real deal, for the first time in 5 years I agree with Bulldog69....we had to pick our poison. You guys played really good football, but you have a really great Liberty team coming in. Your QB is great, but Liberty's RB is equally as great at his position. No doubt in my mind that next Friday will be a really good, close, hard fought game. And, congrats to our Tigers. This was a great season, and the seniors should realize how much they carried this team. I know everyone in Lexington may be a little down after this loss, but going deep in the playoffs will be an every year deal in the next few years. We lose a bunch of seniors, and we will have to rebuild next year. But, we have one of the most talented group of kids to every play at Lexington in the sophomore and freshman classes. We will be good for a very long time.
  11. I saw blown coverages twice on the same play in the secondary for Lexington last week. We were lucky that Page's QB didn't see them also. Lexington has a great coaching staff and I think they probably got that fixed before tonight, if not we are in for a long night. Lexington can eat up a ton of clock when they are hitting on all cylinders, so I'm going with Lexington 21 Giles 17
  12. That year DL was dominate up front in that game. But, they only saw Deshaun Smith at QB one series and Kevis Buckley for one half. They were they guys with all the speed. I still think DL ould have won, but I wonder what would have happened if Lexington stuck to what got them there and Kevis would have played a whole game. He was the best player on the field, IMO.
  13. The Texas Tech QB is good, but I think he and McCoy will be gone before the Titans get to pick. I'm hoping we are picking at the bottom of the first round for a couple of years.
  14. I wish I could have seen it. I'm stuck here on Sol's end of the state. I had no way to listen to it and the hotel's wifi was maxed out last night. I couldn't find out the score until 4 o'clock this morning. This Lexington team and coaching staff deserve a hats off. I knew they would find away some how, now lets upset DL.
  15. Marshall County is a tough team for Lexington to play without Taylor. LHS still has a lot of good players to take up the slack, and I know they have a great coaching staff. Maybe they have enough to pull this one off.
  16. Good win by TCA, the team really played well. Great job by the coaching staff also. I haven't been on here in 2 weeks. But if I would have known TCA had fans like you, I would have been here. Bottom line is that the game could have went either way. Lexington decided to go for two because they had nothing to lose. Unlike TCA, Lexington has a shot at 7-3 and a region title. Doesn't bother anybody at LHS about this loss, there a bigger things on the table here.
  17. Maybe Mark Sanchez will drop down to us in this years draft.
  18. It'll be close, but Lexington pulls this one off.
  19. It has to be Colton Taylor. He has over 700 yards already. Without looking it up, I think he has about 10-12 Tds also. His stat line from Friday night was 18 carries for 219 yards and 3 TDs, he had a TD pass and he had over 300 all purpose yards. If there is a back better than Taylor in 6-3A, I haven't seen him.
  20. 49-41 Lexington. This was a great game, both offenses had weapons all over field. Liberty's speed is unreal, Lexington did a great job of play calling and executing to equal it. Congrats to the Big Red on a great win.
  21. Liberty's speed and spread attack will probably give Lexington some problems but, I think Lexington's running game will probably keep the ball out of their hands. If Lexington can get all 3 of their backs going, they'll eat up a bunch of clock and a bunch of yards.
  22. Selby is a good pick up, I guess they have given up on Jackson.
