If Oak Ridge Hired Ron Gray back as a football coach it would be the biggest bone headed hire ever. I wouldn't want him as waterboy. We would have a different coach if certain individuals inside the program and one in particular outside the program didn't write letters to the school trying to keep a certain individual from being hired. They did not want who the committee selected. Everyone who opposed the committees decision had a hand in Coach Stevens becoming the coach. Now you should live with it.

I think that poor offensive line play and poor special teams were a big part of it. Not to mention our defense never stopped anyone when they had to. Heck special teams could have won both the WB game and the MC game. We make the playoffs if we win those games. They were a big key in the farragutless game also. I think coaching is a big part of both offensive line and special teams play.

I am of the opinion that there are many cancers that lie within the Oak Ridge football program. Some of you would be shocked if you knew who these so called "sources" are. One guy likes to be the first one to shake the coaches hands when they get off the bus at blankenship and then get on here and trash them. Another is actually a coach on the staff and another is a former coach. I do not think that coach Stevens was the best hire. I know the committee did not choose him. Ken Green and Mr. Bailey are the ones responsible for this mess we are in. Even if Stevens turns out to be a good coach there are some people that will never except him at Oak Ridge simply because of the circumstances he was hired under. I have stated before that he was not my first, second, or third choice either. I don't even know why they bothered to interview anybody. However he is our coach. Regardless of how good the coaches pumped this team up to be, most of us who follow the program closely knew that there would be a big drop off in talent after last years class graduated. Do I think we should have been better than we were? yes. Do I think we should have won the region? No. We should have at least made the post season.

Returning to OR????? He never left. Turned down every opportunity he was offered.

I would much rather have the current HC than I would Him. RG has no head coaching experience at the high school level. RG has burned alot of bridges in OR.

Special Teams have been plain awful this year.

What's really sad is that when farragutless does beat Oak Ridge (which happens about once a century) you would think that they won the super bowl. Whenever Oak Ridge beats farragutless it's just another win. You can almost feel the eruption of pure joy and excitement in their posts. It's almost as if they have already beaten us and the game hasn't even been played. I am glad Im a Wildcat because I don't think I could handle mediocrity every year. What's really gonna hurt is when your farrGutless admirals get beat on their home field by a not up to par Oak Ridge team. Don't tear your own goal posts down just yet the cats will need them come Friday night.

You are right we have lost to everybody else but we can't lose to farraGUTLESS no matter who has beaten us, I mean come on it's farragutless.

The game would not even be a contest. No disrespect intended here but Hoover would blow Maryville out. Maryville is a really good football program in the state of TN. High school football in the state of Alabama is on a different level especially the Hoover Bucs. I believe everyone of their starting defensive lineman will sign a division 1 letter of intent and that is just their D line. You are good Maryville but not that good.

This team has only 1 option and that is for the COACHES and PLAYERS to get focused and win the rest of them. Our playoffs start now because if we loose another game our post season is gone. Its time to get that Oak Ridge swagger back. Whatever it takes. RWR

Hated to hear about that. I wish him a speedy recovery. Even with a cast it will be an improvement for our defense.

I liked that we went for 2. Just wish we would have made it. I know they work on those scenarios in practice. Bottom line is that the game should have never went to OT. Our whole football team needs to improve. This week we will find out what we are made of. We have to bounce back.
