Why are they going to be so much better, did they have players transfer in? I know they've got one of the better point guards I've seen but who else will be an impact player for them??

Any kingston fans out there?? The season is starting in 2 weeks against Wartburg in the HOF games. Would like to know who is returning for the lady jackets and are there any incoming freshman that will contribut this year

Sitzler has a Son playing for Roane State and a Daughter playing for Tennessee Weslyn, I believe he wanted to have time to watch them play and coaching would take up too much of his time.

Thats true, Keith Anderson is now the head coach. Him and Coach Marcum from Scott County were roommates at one time. I wonder if they will run the same basic offense?

A-E is not in this district, they are in the same Region but not District. Seymour and Alcoa arent district games either. Stone Memorial Kingston Loudon CAK Catholic Anderson County Scott County

Who do you think is going to finish above Kingston besides Stone Memorial?

Who do you think will give them trouble in the District? With the addition of Stone Memorial (whom I think will actully win the district), I think they will be very competitive. Loudon will be their next toughest game and Loudon only beat them by 6 each time they played last year. Faith Dupree and her Sister transferred to Webb so Kingston should beat Anderson County this year, Kingston Split with CAK last year so that will be a good game, Scott County had a few girls quit so they will still be young and shouldnt give Kingston too much trouble, Kingston should also do pretty good against Catholic, they lost their top scorer and they werent all that good last year. If the lady jackets play up to their potential, they should finish either 2nd or 3rd in their district. Remember, they only lost 2 seniors and the two girls that graduated werent what I consider impact players. They should be much better than last year.

Dont they open their regular season against Kingston? Does Scott have any size at Post? Do you think they will win against the lady jackets? I've heard Kingston has 3 or 4 girls returning that started for them last year. They also have a few girls coming off the bench that got significant playing time. Has anyone heard that the district tournament is being moved from Scott to Kingston?

Does anyone know how the Lady Jackets will do this season? How many Seniors did they lose and who do they have coming back? Any word on incoming Freshman? Will any of them get playing time?

A couple girls from Kingston to watch: Brooke Gentry, a Junior who led the team in scoring as a sophmore. Will be counted on again this year to provide the offensive spark. Tayler Smith, started as a Freshman. Led her team in rebounding, 8 rpg, and averaged 8 ppg. Will again be counted on to lead the rebounding for the lady jackets and will also need to contribute on the offensive side again

If you read these posts from the beginning, everyone picked Harriman, nobody said a thing about the size of the schools or classifications. Why is it that now that the game has been played and Kingston waxed the blue devils, everyone is trying to slam the Yellow Jackets about them scheduling up? Harriman and any other team that is on Kingstons schedule can choose not to play them. Evidently the rivalry outweighs the size of the actual school. Maybe if Harriman doesnt like losing to Kingston year in and year out, they should try scheduling someone else.

Not sure about Div I, but for anyone interested in Div II, the 14U Tennessee Raiders have a very good opportunity to win the Div II National Championship. I've see them play and they're strong. They have depth as well. Anxious to hear how they end up at the National Championship.

If you really believe East Tn Basketball is as good as Middle and West Tn, you really are dreaming.

OS got a reality check!! Beating these teams in E. Tn doesnt prepare you for the kind of talent you find in Middle and West Tn. I know they had a very good year and a lot of people thought because they moved down to Class A, they were a lock for the State Championship, however, most of those Class A Teams from Middle and West Tn can beat the local Class AA Teams from E. Tn.

AC has some talent but until that knuckle head of a coach they have understands that when you have a girl that is 6'3 and stands head and shoulders above any other girl on the floor, you must get her the ball or you will continue to get beat!!!!!!!. AC's Coach is the one that lost their game against Loudon. At the beginning of the 2nd half, they fed the ball to Faith Dupree and AC overcame a 5 point deficit to go ahead by 7 points. Then, they stopped giving her the ball and they started shooting 3's which they didnt make and Loudon came back. I was at that game and I still dont understand why he didnt call a timeout and get his players to understand that the way they would win was to get the ball to Faith. The only thing he did was put Faith on the bench until there was only a minute or so left in the game. Pityful Coaching job!!!!!!!!!!!

The rumor mill is alive and well in Roane County (Kingston). Its being said that Greg Sitzler, the boys head coach will not coach next year and Coach Plemons (the girls current head coach) will take over the Boys team leaving the Girls Varsity Coaching position vacant. Of course I've also heard that if Sitzler does leave, Plemons could coach the girls and boys. May be worth looking into.

You only need to read what you wrote to understand why no fans applauded OS, "well everyone better get use to os in that district and them winning it", your comments are trypical of OS Fans and people dont like arragonace!. I'm from Kingston and I actually enjoy watching the OS Girls play, they are a very good basketball team, however, the OS Fans should learn a little bit about being gracious winnners instead of trying to force feed their teams ability down peoples throat. I've never seen a group of fans that get so upset about their team not getting respect or given credit for their success. Oliver Springs records speaks for itself, the fans dont need to act like they do.
