  1. Coach Comer doesn't have 100 wins yet, he still has to leading the Rebels to a victory over Adamsville. And Yes, in Coach Comers 10 (2000-2009) years as head coach at McKenzie, we've been to the playoffs every year. The only losing season we had was in 2004 when we went 5-6 after a shocking upset by Cheatham County in the 1st Round. That was the only year I wasn't sure of. I was in Colorado that year so I was a little behind. Wow. Even though he doesn't have 100 wins he still has an impressive resume. Definitely a well coached team. I am very anxious to see this game. I haven't got to see McKenzie play since Drew Hayes was in high school(I was a sophomore in high school that year). So I'm looking forward to this game. I'm going to go with the underdog and pick Adamsville in a defensive battle. My final score: 14-10. Good luck to both teams and safe travels for all the teams playing Friday night.
  2. You didn't hurt my ego. And I'm not crying about anything. I'm actually doing the same thing that McKRebeldad did. All I did was defend a team. McKRebelDad, I'm sorry if what I said offended you because it wasn't meant to. Zebra99: You said that Adamsville was playing over their heads and I disagreed with you. Plain and simple. You gave your opinion and I gave mine. NOWHERE on here did I say Adamsville was a better team than McKenzie or McKenzie was a better team than Adamsville. As I said earlier, this whole thing started when I defended Adamsville when you said that they were playing over their heads. I am not going to deny that McKenzie is a great team. They have proved that with their consistent runs deep in the playoffs, in fact I can't remember the last time they had a bad year. All I am saying is that Adamsville is a better team than you give them credit for. So I'm sorry if it kills your soul for me to defend a team. I got no problem with your opinion at all! You got the right to disagree thats what it's all about! I gave you my thoughts on Adamsville and i stick to it! Mckenzie will not turn the ball over and give Adamsville the game like HBT did! Good Luck to both teams! I'm going to agree with you about McKenzie won't turn the ball over like Humboldt. They haven't so far and that's plays a role in why they're 10-1. I do believe that whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game. Regardless of the outcome, I hope for an injury free and good, old-fashioned hard-hitting football game. Good luck to both teams. By the way, McKRebelDad, I feel that you know the program's history very well, when was the last time the program had a bad year because in my mind I don't remember a year that they didn't go deep in the play offs?

  4. Touch a nerve did I......................Ego, no just confident. Mouth, well I do have a big one and I'll run it as long as I'm getting on your nerves. Friends with butchie, yep...............Now go over to the basketball threads were you belong. You're not getting on my nerves no matter how hard you try. I just read the threads and made an obseravation on what I have read. And how old are we now? I thought we got past trying to get on another person's nerves and acting like a kid in when we were about 10. I guess not..
  5. Dang..It must be something in the water up in McKenzie because everyone in McKenzie has a big ego. Especially McKRebelDad and Butchie. The way y'all talk you have to be buddies with zebra99 cause y'all run that mouth. No one on here has said that McKenzie doesn't play with heart. Yes you have a good program and consistently get to the quarterfinals and semifinals most years, but it seems like everything in high school football is changing this year.. reclassification, playoff structure, teams that do well.. But several things won't change: McKenzie will still have that same ego that they had when I was in high school and Adamsville will play with the same heart that they have played with all year. I watch high school football all over west Tennessee and I don't think there is a team that plays 4 quarters with as much heart and drive to win as Adamsville. hw59: i'm with you on this. Let them keep overlooking Adamsville and go ahead and keep preparing for Trousdale Co(most likely). And they will begin their basketball season a lot sooner.
  6. Let me make this clear, we will not over look any one. I've seen yall play.......... your dang good. I also think we are dang good as well. I feel this will be a struggle of two D's, but keep this in mind this aint riverside and we dont run a wing T. I agree with you redrage. It will be a struggle between the two D's. Whoever has the fewest turnovers will probably be the winner of this contest.
  7. If HBT hadn't shoot theirselves in the foot tonight. U would be playing them again 4 costly to's killed HBT. That is part of the game i know but Adamsville is playing over their head! They are not near as good as they think they are! HBt played with them all night just could not hold on to the ball! Mckenzie will win this game by at least 2 td's the fun will end next Friday night in Mckenzie! Zebra99, I don't know what scores you have been following all year but Adamsville isn't playing over their heads. They have a good team. They finished 9-1 in the regular season(the only loss coming to Hardin Co, a 5A school). I'm not trying to take away anything from Humboldt. They are a good team and I realize that their losses came to teams with very strong programs(Henry Co., Milan, McKenzie, and Union City). So they have played some quality teams, but the difference tonight was Adamsville capitalized on the scoring opportunities. They also fumbled the ball several times. Calm down man. You know as well as I do that if Humboldt had won, you would have given Adamsville some credit for being a good team.(And don't give me any garbage about being from Adamsville because I'm not. I'm an avid sports fan that follows high school sports all over west Tennessee) As for next week, I know McKenzie has an outstanding program. They always do. It will be a hard-fought and exciting game. Definitely one to go see. I'm not going to make a prediction yet, but regardless it will be an exciting game. To the Adamsville players: Congratulations on a hard-fought win. Continue the great play next week and the weeks to come. You are a talented bunch of athletes that have worked hard all year long. Keep striving to improve everyday. To the Humboldt players: Y'all played a good game. There are a lot of talented athletes at the school. I hope that the athletes that want to play college football are able to sign scholarships and further their education. I wish you all the best of luck in all your future endeavors. Always remember to give 100% on the field as well as in life and you will be successful people and athletes.
  8. I didn’t go to either school, so I am not biased because I am an alumnus. I have seen both teams play this year and it is going to be a good game (contrary to every Hardin County fan’s belief). People talk about Hardin County beating Adamsville is the way that it’s supposed to be because Hardin County is 5A and Adamsville is 2A has to be one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard. The TSSAA doesn’t rate teams based on their performance. They rate them based on the number of students in their school. By the way, after watching Hardin County play I don’t see ANYBODY on that team who will play on a team that we watch on TV. And 94 tackles in 5 games? Can we say padding the stats? Not to say that Hardin County doesn’t have good players because they have a solid football team, but they are not top 10 in the state material. One thing many people are not taking into account is the schedule strength. Hardin County is 6-0, but who have they played (take a look at the CoachT schedule ranking: 105th). Also, you obviously have either been under a rock or have ABSOLUTELY no knowledge of football because Lambuth is ranked 7th in the NATION (which is a lot more than you can say about the beloved UT Vols this year). My prediction: Adamsville 21, Hardin Co. 17
  9. 1. Scotts Hill 2. TCA 3. Madison 4. Adamsville 5. JCS 6. Riverside I got to see Scotts Hill play this summer and they are very impressive! Good luck to all teams in district 15a!
  10. 1. Bolivar 2. South Side 3. McNairy 4. Chester Co. 5. Camden 6. Lexington Bolivar will most likely repeat, but the 3, 4, and 5 spots will be a toss up.
  11. This will prove to be a tough game for both teams. McNairy will have to step up in order to leave victorious. I believe McNairy is the better overall team. If someone will step up and shut down Kindra Williams McNairy will have no trouble stopping Bolivar. Good luck to both teams! My pick: McNairy 72, Bolivar 68
  12. There was no attitude meant. Don't have the issue of what? The topic was playing the game on the same night. Not winning or losing. It wouldn't have mattered if Waverly had won both games. They (parents and fans) still had to drive a 100+ mile trip two nights in a row to the same place. It's something called courtesy.
  13. Classy guy? Yeah right. I think it would have shown some class to played the game on the same night. Good luck to Harpeth. Somebody needs to take Bolivar down a peg or two.
  14. Congrats to Camden on a hard fought win tonight. Good luck in the championship!

    TRINITY?

Spojo, you need to chill out. All that was asked for was to clarify a rumor. There's nothing wrong with a fan wanting to know the facts.
  16. Can anyone tell me anything about Dayton?
  17. 1. Bolivar 2. McNairy 3. South Side 4. Lexington 5. Chester Co. 6. Camden I am curious. How do you think Camden can finish 3rd in the district? They can barely get by Gleason and you think they actually have a shot at finishing 3rd in the district? Here's why Camden won't do well in district: Bolivar- always a contender in district. 2 state titles in four years. The only reason they didn't have more is because Liberty was in the class. Good coaching. McNairy- very deep(they can go 7 to 8 deep) Very athletic. Determined to win after heartbreaking loss at Sycamore in the first round of region last year. South Side- athletic. Play as a team. many talented players. Lexington- while they are rebuilding, they have enough talent to shock several area teams. They have home court advantage in district. Chester Co.- upcoming team. Look for them to be a contender in the next two years. Camden- Who do they have? I have seen them play and they weren't impressive. Very scrappy. Too many talented teams for them to compete...Better luck next year.
  18. First of all I don't go to McNairy. I follow high school football in west and middle Tennessee. I am not trying to say David Lipscomb is not a good football team...if they weren't a good football team then they wouldn't be 9-1. All I am saying is that they are being glorified by every one from middle Tennessee. Middle Tennessee football is no better than west Tennessee football. McNairy and Lipscomb are evenly matched but I think McNairy will out play Lipscomb.
  19. Not to insult David Lipscomb...but who have they really played. I understand that they have to be good to be ranked 3rd in the state, but their schedule is not that impressive. I might be wrong about this but I think McNairy plays a tougher schedule than DL. They have played Dyer Co(#5 in the state) and beat them 38 to 7. They beat an atheletic Fayette-Ware team who is the region 6-3a champion 28 to 6. McNairy has the drive to win this game because they know they have something to prove after two disappointing seasons. I think McNairy can pull this game off. They have too much talent to not be able to make a run in the playoffs. I don't think that DL is used to playing against very strong defenses and I don't think they can stop McNairy's run game. Good luck to both teams. My pick: McNairy 28 David Lipscomb 14
  20. 1. McNairy ended up as the four seed by losing to Bolivar and South Side in two key region games. But give them credit in the South Side game because they continued playing until the clock said 0. They were playing well in the second half. 2. McNairy has several key players. Justin Mood is one of the best running backs in west Tennessee. He is very quick and hard to bring down. He shares palying time with C.J. Simmons who is also a good running back. Ryan Smith is a dual threat. He is a good reciever and a good cornerback. A couple of weeks ago he had a 98 yard interception return for a touchdown. Other key players to watch are QB/S Jonathan Jones, LB/FB Darron Turner, WR/CB Logan Chappell, and TE/DE/P Neil Sanders. 3. They are known for bringing a crowd to every away game. They also have a very strong student section with the Blue Nation. This should be a good game to see. Good luck to both teams.
  21. I'm gonna have to agree with dickey on this one. Who do you hear about form South Side other than Newbern? McNairy has so many strong players! The McNairy backs are TOO FAST for South Side. The defense is TOO STRONG. Forcing 10 turnovers in 3 games; it doesn't get much better than that. McNairy wins by at least 2 touchdowns.
  22. This will be a very good game. South Side brings a very atheletic team, but McNairy has too many weapons: Justin Mood and C.J. Simmons in the backfield, Logan Chappell and Jermel Bingham will pick up some recieving yards and then stop South Side from gaining any yardage, Neil Sanders will stop any one who gets in his way, and Josh Dickey will handle the line. McNairy wins 35 -21
  23. The best running back in west tennessee has to be either Justin Mood or C.J. Simmons from McNairy. Mood has 63 carries for 416 yards and 7 touchdowns in three games and C.J. Simmons has 10 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown in three games.
  24. McNairy Central. Their band ALWAYS has an awesome field show.
