Reese is a senior. Chris Turner is the new coach. Someone correct if this wrong. I believe he played 1 year @ College of Charleston before transferring to Tennessee Tech. Heard he was a pretty good player, was JV and asst. coach from a successful program @ some high school in Georgia before taking Warren job. GOOD LUCK to Turner and the rest of the PIONEERS, they will be contenders very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told Frank Wilson (former Trevecca men's coach) who was there for 3 or 4 years before Keil arrived had 2 terrible years. The last year maybe a total of 4 wins, probably what got him canned. I cannot back that up though. Someone else might can do some digging??

Stan Jacobs is a very loyal coach and a hard worker. It doesn't matter who he works under.

Ever wonder how Dougball would have fared without Matt Cotten, Chisam, R. Harrell, etc..??????? Also, Warren had a coach by the name of Bobby Luna (@ Gallatin now, went to STATE TOURNAMENT) who had some good basketball teams there.

Blackman must have had a terrible night shooting the ball as they were only up by 2 @ start of 4th quarter I was told and only pulled away late.

The girl's program has had some turnover as far as assistants go with the exception of Frank Fisher. You must be thinking about the boy's assistant Stan Jacobs.

There were 2 monster dunks toward the end of this game. Who was the player that made them? Snead?????

Eagle, I've got'em 5-7. If you're counting the Cannon County win, you've got to count the Upperman loss. Both were Hall of Fame games. WINS- Cannon, Dekalb, Livingston Acd., Tullahoma and Overton High. LOSSES- Upperman, Cleveland, Riverdale, White Co., Whites Creek and USN.

Keil didn't take any asst. with him. As for Warren County, Alan Smith (asst. and JV coach under Keil) is still teaching @ WCHS but coaching 5th-6th & 7th-8th boys teams @ Morrison Elementary in Warren County. Stan Jacobs is still asst. and Freshman coach. The new asst. is Tommy Davis and he coaches the JV now.

In a recent Sports Illustrated 50th anniversary special - 50 States in 50 Weeks-Texas, was an article about high school football titled 'Thank God It's Friday'. It detailed 2 Class 5A teams with student-body populations of around 2,200. Here's some numbers: Smithson Valley: 260 players- Varsity, 2 JV, 2 Freshmen teams Westlake: 220 players I realize these 2 teams are 2 of the better teams in Texas and that Tennessee's classification may not match the TX class. However, in comparing student-body pops, WARREN COUNTY does have a building built to hold around 2,000 students and their actual enrollment probably fluctuates between 1,500 and 2,000 pupils. How many were in Warren County's football program this year and for comparison how many are in other school's programs such as Cookeville, Riverdale, Lincoln County, etc.............???????

Anytime you lose a player like Randall Harrell it's gonna hurt, however, you're not giving Cleveland enough credit. They are talented (bench included) especially #15. If Warren County looked confused at times and they did look confused, my guess is that they are still learning Coach Turner's system. It takes time for coaches to implement their schemes and players to learn it. Turner could (and should) utilize his bench better. Jury's still out on that one. But give the Pioneers their due. They played hard and made a game out of it.
