  1. Blah blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda. You make no sense what so ever. York played a good game my hats off to them. What more can I say. I never made no predictions especially a team of York's caliber. They are just ranked in the top 5 in the state in 2A. And I thought that Livingston hung in there pretty good with them. If some of our kids had knocked some heads on certain plays Livingston could have won that game. It's that simple. We just rolled over and let York have their way on certain plays. On several plays we stuff it pretty good like your supposed to do. That was the difference especially early in the game. If Livingston will come out and play from the start in their remaining games like they did the 2nd half of the York game that will definitely be in the game. Anything short of that and it could get embarrassing. It's up to the players.
  2. I've got the answer to your question idgit. Do you see anywhere in my post that I said LA would not win. I said they may not win. Big difference. But I know we are more physical than your Dragons. I guess time will tell about that. Speaking of getting cheated (you spot it you got it). I don't recall of anybody ever getting cheated at LA. It's always the other way around. Last week against Catholic you would swear that they were the home team. We never got one call that went our way. So don't start your crying before the game starts. Has York ever been cheated down here I can't remember. Oh I take that back they cheated themselves in 06. Dropped 2 pt conversion and QB falls on 4th down now I remember. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  3. I feel like the Cats are going to beat the fire out of the Dragons. They may not win but they are going to knock some heads tonight. Strap it on tight boys and leave it on the field. GO HOG-EYE PUT A PUMP KNOT ON THEIR HEADS.
  4. You must be crazy. There's no way York wins by that much if they even win.
  5. Hang in there Bill............. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  6. Coach you are right on the money with everything except the teams that are playing. Could be a possibility next week. I'm sure Catholic and Fulton are expected to win by just about everyone, but AE and AC are very much capable of winning !! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  7. I agree. The people of Smith Co. really supports their football program. Not only is the coaching staff committed, but they are among the state's best IMO. These are no doubt two key ingredients in having a successful program. Of course it always helps to have some talent ! Coach Maynord has really brought this community together with all the hard work he has done on and off the field. His football teams are among the best every year and this year is no exception. As Principal, he has directed Smith Co. High among the elite in the state. Coach Maynord has built a strong foundation in sports and academics for this community that will last long after he retires. I'm sure that he would be the first to tell you that he didn't do it alone. He has had great support from his staff on the field, in the classroom and as well in the community.
  8. Thanks and good luck Friday. I hope to attend the next game between the winner of York and Smith. I have heard that DCA is a good team. Maybe they can win and I can watch them play. I'm sure Tyner would like to win and see York win so they could redeem themselves from last year's game. Again thanx and good luck.
  9. worden55 can you tell me if DCA is the old Dupont H.S. !!! I remember watching them play back in the middle 70's.
  10. Athlete's of AE against the Discipline of Catholic. The Irish in a close one.
  11. This should be a great game. Emotions will be running sky high on both sides. Everyone knows that it's hard to beat the Dragons on the mountain. But I have to give the edge to Smith Co. because of the play-off experience that their program has had since coach Maynord arrived. Beating Boyd last week was no easy chore. Boyd has one of the best programs in the state and it was a huge win for the Owls. Not taking anything away from the Dragons because they have a fine team as well, but I think that Smith Co. has a big advantage in coaching and play-off experience. The winner of this game host Tyner or DCA winner. So there is a lot riding on this one. Good luck to both teams and let it be an injury free game.
  12. I was one of the earlier posters there croz. But I'm not a Dawg faithful but a football fan I am. What do yu want to hear that GV is going to win by 40. Like I said earlier the Dawgs have had the athlete's but no coaching. Since Brown has came on the scene Clay Co. has played some real football. Will they beat you all .....probably not but you all better be ready for a game because the Dawgs are not the same team you have seen in the past 3 or 4 yrs. The Clay program is on the rise and I think coach Brown should be seriously considered for coach of the year honors. As should Monterey's and Watertown's coaches.
  13. Hey bubblegum surely the Cats aren't that big of a underdog!!! I agree with most that York has a fine team, but I don't think the Cats will just lay down for them do you ???? I mean this is York-LA week. And when these two teams get together anything can happen. I believe the opponents the Cats have faced vs. York's will be an edge for the Cats. We'll see how that plays out I guess. Go Hogeye
  14. Well I don't guess you have to read or respond to any of this. But I enjoy talking football. After all this was a big step for Clay Co. players ..fans and coaches. Back in the day Celina football was always among the best around. For the past few years their program has dropped off tremendously. I hate it for you that Clay Co. didn't lay down to the almighty FCS program that you think is so grand. BTW I'm sure the people of Clay Co. that are around football really appreciates the great compliment you gave them. Yeah Yeah everybody in the Region knows that Clay Co. is not a mercy rule team. Blah Blah Blah Just like this post Hip Hip Hooray and all that crap ...I wish Clay Co. had beat yo uall just because of fans like you.
  15. That's what happens when you stick ( HIT ) people with the ball. They want to crawl up under a rock. Rickaway is a great runner..but he's like most if you hit them they shy away. While watching the replay Clay Co. DEE was popping him pretty good and he wasn't running it up in there like he normally would. I made a comment about coach Brown going for it on 4th down in an earlier post. It was no doubt a gutsy call. But I think he figured if I punt it FCS gets it on his 30 or it could have been blocked or whatever if we don't make it what's 20 yards. After all the DEE is popping them pretty good. But what if they make the first down. Momentum stays with Clay. That's just my evaluation..and I am in no way an a authority on football...but I was just trying to figure his logic which I think is right on. What did Clay Co. have to lose. They wasn't even supposed to be in the game especially the way FCS beat them in previous years. You couldn't have caught them at a better time coach but the news spreads fast. TC..Watertown..GV..and Monterey won't get caght with their britches down. But what else is new I'm sure you have been there and done that before. Good Luck to you and the players.
