From an outsider's perspective, and having seen the game last night, i have to say that the performance of the officials was poor at best. i thought that they seemed (unintentionally) biased toward the home team, but there's no doubt there were bad calls going both ways. Just from this particular thread, several franklin fans have claimed that the closeness of the game was caused by mediocre performances on the rebels' parts. i would have to disagree, except for the 4th quarter. i would definitely say that franklin was on their game for three quarters, and that indy was off theirs for three. in the fourth, they switched. Siske had an off game, but this can't be used as an excuse for franklin because his poor performance was offset by luttrell's. some people on this thread have used the poor shooting excuse, but young and another guard off the bench (#30?) were on all night, with the team shooting above 45% from the three point line (at least 45%). franklin can't count on batt to score 25 a night on a consistent basis. my prediction for next friday's game is that both big men step up and play better, and that indy takes it because they're at home. soo..... 65-61 IHS.
