  1. bristol, the goalkeeper from bga, is as athletic and instinctive as they come.... he's got a huge frame (about 6'5"), and played well (though he wasn't tested very often) in the second half of bga's game against franklin last week.
  2. just so you know, mortonc, i'm pretty sure "little indy" is about 6'4''... haha... indy definitely had more shots on in the game than centennial. i think what eaglekeeper4 or whatever was saying by "executing better" is that indy should have, not that it was possible for them to do so... they had a number of lay-ups (sorry for the basketball analogy) that they didn't not convert, but that they normally would. it was evenly matched in the first few minutes of the first half, but after that, it seemed to me that indy controlled the game for the most part... i hope the kid from indy that someone said blacked out is okay. good day.
  3. watch for independence from franklin, tn to be contenders in the williamson co. district. they're a relatively new school and started with only freshman and sophomores, so they haven't graduated anyone yet (this is the first year for them to have seniors)...
  4. not alex booth.... solid player, not top in the state though
  5. blair gaven doesn't go to ravenwood anymore... he moved to florida i'm pretty sure... there's a kid from independence high school in franklin, tn, named ben gaines who should be added to the list... he's a junior
  6. this game decides the district. if franklin wins, they have it in the bag. if indy wins, the heat is on franklin to win out in the district (not a guaruntee). it will come down to which big man can come up bigger, and which point guard makes the fewest mistakes. i predict indy by 2...... 64-62.
  7. From an outsider's perspective, and having seen the game last night, i have to say that the performance of the officials was poor at best. i thought that they seemed (unintentionally) biased toward the home team, but there's no doubt there were bad calls going both ways. Just from this particular thread, several franklin fans have claimed that the closeness of the game was caused by mediocre performances on the rebels' parts. i would have to disagree, except for the 4th quarter. i would definitely say that franklin was on their game for three quarters, and that indy was off theirs for three. in the fourth, they switched. Siske had an off game, but this can't be used as an excuse for franklin because his poor performance was offset by luttrell's. some people on this thread have used the poor shooting excuse, but young and another guard off the bench (#30?) were on all night, with the team shooting above 45% from the three point line (at least 45%). franklin can't count on batt to score 25 a night on a consistent basis. my prediction for next friday's game is that both big men step up and play better, and that indy takes it because they're at home. soo..... 65-61 IHS.
  8. so who wins the first round games? my predictions are independence over franklin, ravenwood over hillsboro, brentwood over centennial and overton over hillwood.
  9. yeah, 2-0 was the final.... watching the game, indy dominated, had 3-4 shots go off the crossbar/post. the scoreboard makes it look like a close game, but it wasn't. should have been 6-0 or 7-0.
  10. i came to the last part of the game, and centennial did really well despite the loss... i underestimated them.
  11. do you enough about williamson county teams to compare antioch's team to one of the teams in williamson county that they are most similar to? (brentwood, franklin, centennial, independence, ravenwood, etc.)
  12. i've seen sixtos play, and he's a great player. it's not unthinkable to put him in there with the best in the state.
