  1. Boys boys, remember to play nice. Isn't this tread about the warren county and white county game? Nobody cares about yall's stupid 3rd grade name calling argument goin' on. Yall could start a new thread called "who's the smartest warren county football fan" or "discussion for fans wanting to embarress Warren County" or something like that. So anyway, back to warren vs. white. Warren county has gotten much better this year. They have played 3 great games. However, if warren county slacks up the least bit, white county will win this game. If Warren Co has good, hard practices this week, and comes in with the same determination as they have had so far this season, Warren County will win. GO PIONEERS!
  2. Keep ur heads up Northside. I also saw the game, and everyone could see that yall we're playin' your hearts out. You have a good team, and if you keep playing that hard, i think yall have a very successful season ahead of you.
  3. Has anybody seen the results of Jackson Southside at Jackson Northside? I looked on the scoreboard and didn't see it. Did they even play? they had a pretty bad storm in jackson around 7 or so.

    Region 3-5A

Just wondering... which team has the best record in 3-5A right now after the first two weeks of games?
  5. Warren County has a game they can win this friday. However, they will only win if they have been able to calm down from their huge win this past friday, and focus on Dekalb Co. Warren County still has alot of improvements to make, and they are far from having the program turned around. If WC has good practices this week, and makes some needed improvements, they will win, but if not, Dekalb could run away with this one.
  6. I got to see FNL today. Its a great movie. I didn't think it was as good as remember the titans, or rudy. I thought it was too fast paced, and it could have been better with some more character development. There were also a few scenes early in the movie that wern't neccicary to the plot, and didn't help the stereotype of high school athleats. The football scenes were awesome. The scene with the Lord's prayer was really good too. And then end of the movie almost made me cry. I've never loved the way a movie ended, and at the same time, hated the way a movie ended at the same time before. It was one of those movies that just makes you really miss playin' football, and make you want to go put on a helmet, and just have one more friday night of football under the lights. And one more thing, i never noticed how big high school football actually was in texas. I heard that their home stadium, was the actual stadium! What would it take to get High School Football that big here in tennessee? Anyway, this is a must see movie for anyone who ever played the game.
  7. Good Luck Warren County Freshman! If yall stick together you CAN and WILL turn around warren county football. Good positive changes are already being made. But again, you MUST STICK TOGETHER! You've got some tough times ahead of you. Alot of hot august practices. Alot of afternoon's spent in the weightroom. Alot of conditioning through the years, but hang in there, and you will begin a new winning tradition at Warren County! Good luck!
  8. Although Warren County still dosn't have the wins, it sounds like to me they are showing improvement. They are more competitive this year than they were in years past. Thats the first step in turning the program around. Pioneer coaches and players, keep your heads up, and keep working. I think some wins are just around the corner for ya. Keep working hard, and good luck!
  9. As a player, i loved everything about it. I loved the reward you get on friday night for all your hard work, whether its one good play, and getting to hear your name over the loud speaker, or a win at the end of the night. I also loved the hours before the game started, when everybody's just sittin' around it the locker room, listening to headphones, studying plays, sleeping, getting their pads ready, all focusing on the game; the calm before the storm, and then the way the excitment slowly builds throughout the afternoon and evening. I loved standing there with my helmet on right before the game listening to the band play the national anthem, then running onto the field with the rest of the team with the whole town there cheering you on. There's nothing like it. Then you've got to love just getting to hit people out on the field. The excitement and the stratagy of the game. I love the way that the entire team has to work together to win, more than in any other sport. Football is the hardest, and most rewarding sport there is. No other sport compares with high school football.
  10. Columbia and Cumberland Co. in the same region? Now thats a drive!
  11. If a girl wants to play, give her the chance, but don't let her use her sex as an excuse to cut corners. Stereotypically (sp?) girl just arn't built for football, neither mentally or physically, but there are some exceptions out there, i'm sure. I mean, there's guys out there who play football and play like girls, so we might as well let girls play. They should be givin' the same oppritunity as a guy, but face it, most girls just wouldn't me able to compete.
  12. What a game! Both teams played very hard and didn't give up. By overtime, both teams were just worn out, but CCHS had one muscle that still worked. Their Heart. It was a team effort. Melvin Armstrong had a great game on both offense and deffense. Senior Linemen, Matt Hester was in the entire game, except for 2 plays, and still played hard through overtime. Sophmore lineman, McEarl, had to come in and step it up, and play center and DT, and did a fine job. The punter/DB, Mason Moore kept Chester County in it with some really great punts, and he played a good game on defense too. There are so many more names i could/should mention. The whole team played a great game. I have alot of respect for Trenton too. Then never once quit, and played hard every single down. This game is what High School football is all about.

    Warren County

Price isn't at Warren Co. It might be on a Thursday. I dunno. I'm not on varsity, I'm a freshman. But I am pretty sure it's around those days. Oh, this is WC60, but it was signed in my brother's account and I didn't notice until just now.
  14. Coach Madewell is an excellent coach, and has the ability to turn the program around, but he can't do it alone. He needs support from the community, school, parents, and most importantly the players. If the players work hard, stay committed to the program, keep the right attitude, and play to win, then lookout region 3, warren county's potential could finally be unleashed! Good Luck Pioneers!
  15. 2. today started spring practice 3. things are gonna start lookin a lot better

    Coach Moore Fired

    Why was he fired?

    Warren Co.

Coach Chris Madewell has been selected as Warren County High School football coach for next season. Thats not going to change. The how's and why's of the selection don't matter now, thats all in the past. What matters now is what moves coach madewell makes as head coach durning the off season to get everyone ready for next fall. If you think the selection process should be revised, worry about that next time we have to select another coach. Hopefully Coach Madewell can keep this job for awhile and we won't have to worry about that. Good luck Coach!

    Warren Co.

Rumor has it that Britton was offered the job, but they told him that they wanted him to move to warren county first, and he didn't want to move. In the press conference they said they believed that the warren county coach should live in warren county. It appears to me that there were some politics involved in the selection that got Madewell selected, but i don't know that for sure, he may have just given a better interview among other things, and truly was selected only on his coaching ablities, i don't know. But none of that matters now, Madewell is the coach, and I am behind him 100%, and i hope everyone else will be too. With lots of support, and alot of hard work and determination by the players, i believe that Madewell will turn this program around fairly quickly.

    Warren Co.

Ghostrider, Get over it. Madewell is the coach, and he will be the coach. Yes, last year before the season started, he stepped down from offensive coordinator to freshman head coach, but his family was going through some pretty rough times then. I don't care how good or bad a coach is, but you can't put him down for stepping down for that reason. Madewell is warren county's coach now, and it dosn't matter how much complaining anybody does about the decision, its not going to change that. It sure dosn't help when warren county players get on this website and read how everyone else thinks that their coach isn't the man for the job. If they read too much of that, they may start to believe it, and thats not good. Everyone needs to get behind Madewell and the rest of the coachs and players. I am confident that Chris Madewell has the coaching abilities it takes to turn warren county football into a winning program.
  20. Pioneer95, don't be so quick to cut down coach Madewell. At least give the guy a chance. Four years ago he gave the middle school team their first winning season in years, and the middle school has been winning since. He has been working with next years seniors ever since they were in 6th or 7th grade. The players used his offense and defense in middle school, and are confident that it will work for them. Yes, it may appear so some that there were some better cannidates out there, but those other cannidates don't matter now. Coach Madewell and the rest of the pioneer coaches/players are what matter now. Yes, i know that middle school football and high school football are very different, and Coach Madewell knows that too. Give the guy a chance. I am confident that with everyone's support this young enthusiastic coach can turn the Warren County football program around.
  21. Well, the offensive scheme really depends on what type of personel you have on your team. For example...If you've got alot of strength and size, run a power offense. If you've got alot of speed, run Wing-T. I'd say the most fun offense to watch would be a spread offense, with an equal run-pass ratio... you never know what to expect next.
  22. I like a 4-3, with a corner who can walk up and play some outside linebacker, making it a 4-4, and a linebacker who can walk up and play somewhere on the D-line making a 5-2. There are so many different things you could run doing this.
  23. I'm not exactly who all are seniors. I know they said that all the all region players from lincoln county were seniors (thank goodness for the rest of us). I know that from warren county Tyler Boyd was a senior, and Heath Crisp was a Junior. I think Steve Buckner from Cookeville was a Senior. Jake Nunley the offensive MVP will be returing for his senior senior season to play for Coffee County. As of the rest, i'm not sure.
