I've been simply amazed at how much bashing some of the fans have been doing to this coach. Now they are in substate, let me assume that the coach has nothing to do with that? Good job coach, great job ladies for playing hard with all of the negativity in your ears. Keep it rolling!

I'm having that same feeling Fed123. The only way Shelby county teams won't meet before the finals is if they are in the same district. So If Overton and Central do make it, they could very well be playing against each other in the 1st or 2nd round or if Bartlett and Central make it they could, or Millington and Central they could or Millington and Overton, they could... you get the picture. Somebody from West TN need to bring it back over here! Go West TN! Last night was upset Monday for real. We almost fell into that category. I've always said that I hate Monday games especially when we don't get to practice on that Sunday... The weather was too bad out here to chance an accident. We normally shoot pretty well from the line but missed 19 freethrows last night. McLaughlin is still recovering from a virus and had trouble with strength. Overall the team did enough to fight back and win. Good job ladies!!! Arlington is a very good team with really good defense. Offensively they are strong as well.

It should be a very interesting 1st round in the Memphis Area. Many blessings to all.

Millington faces Cordova tonight and it should be a very good game. The biggest match up will be between Bartlett and Arlington on Friday. This should be a very good game. It was a good game, could have gone either way. We made plays and ramped up our defense at the right times. Yes, they did run yet another article...lol Ready to see that Fairley and Central game now!

The game is at 6. Tesa and Olivia are both out. Tesa is in a boot and Livvy is on crutches with a knee injury.

It won't be a tie...lol. Man it should be a very good game between two very good teams that can score a huge amount of points. I think at least 150 points will be scored between both teams. Central is RED hot and Fairley is going after that target Central has. Should be very exciting. Central has a tendency to drop 30 points in a quarter after one of those good ole Coach Bray tongue lashings. She gets the most out of her kids.

Fairley is a very good team. If you mess up and let them get hot you will be in trouble.

I'm learning my way and trying to figure this girls basketball thing out. Give me a few more years before you pull the plug on me now. lol Oh yea since someone mentioned full strength, we haven't been full strength for much of the year but have been managing to manufacture wins. I'm proud of that but we haven't been playing at the same level for various reasons but the season isn't gonna stop for us, we have to make it do what it do and keep moving. That loss to Lausanne was what it was. We shot like crap, played terrible defense and didn't translate what we wanted to happen effectively from a coaching stand point and we loss. You won't beat anybody shooting 9 for 43 from the field. It was the perfect storm. 4 of the 5 starters had 4 fouls and one had 3. Hopefully we all learned from that game a lot about ourselves and about how to deal with adversity. Coach Kelly from Lausanne is an awesome coach and has a great team. I'm sure when they went to that tournament that they weren't on their A game as we weren't on ours when we played and they loss. As long as they have everyone healthy they will be fine. They are a great group of players with an awesome point guard! Don't underestimate them based on one or two off nights. Even the world champions lost some games in the 7 game series but won it all and those losses didn't matter because they were the world champions. Don't get me wrong, I don't like to lose anything but I try my best to learn from every loss. I will give that Mayoral race some consideration though...I like the sound of that Mayor Gat. lol

LOL, It probably pays more than coaching if I work for some major firm. I'm probably thinking that the rankings are probably due to Millington defeating 2 teams that beat White Station. Lausanne's drop was probably due to their loss to White Station and not the losses out of the city. If they were going to count those losses then they would have dropped farther than 1 spot. Bartlett deserves that move since they haven't loss a regular season game to anyone in the city. Oh yea, what love affair? We have only been in the paper 3 times this season. It won't really matter what ranking is what until after March. Go West TN!!!

Melrose has been pretty solid. Also, Fairley only has 2 losses, one to Millington and one to Fairley. They should be very competitive during district play.

Great job Millington on your successful title defense against some really tough teams. This was a very good tournament with a lot of good matchups. Hopefully, we will learn from our mistakes and improve on our weaknesses. Congrats Michele Brown on your MVP honor, you really played some ball! Congrats to Jasmine Newsome, Tamarah Brandon and LaTesa McLaughlin on their All-Tournament team honors. It was really a total team effort. Also, good job Deanna Jeffries coming in and knocking down some big shots to keep our offense flowing. Get your rest!

I'm very impressed with that team and I agree with you about Jasmine Taylor. She is probably the most consistent post player I've seen in a while. She doesn't force many shots and makes great post moves. Central is in a very tough Region and will have a lot of teams playing their best ball against them. One bad game at the wrong time and it can cost you. Hopefully, we can meet up again this season. I look forward to it.
