Glad you're pullin for CD. Malone didn't play at all in the jamboree, and you are right about him being a difference maker! I would never put stock in what you see out of a team at a Jamboree, it is just that, a jamboree. For one, we play Grainger during the season so showing them anything other than a base package wouldn't make any sense. Granted, I wasn't extremely impressed by our play there either, but the only really "terrible" thing about it was getting a kid hurt. My feelings on Jamborees are kinda mixed for this very reason. But I see CD doing good things this year. The capability is there, just gotta capitalize!

Doing great! Taking some getting used to... this whole black and yellow thing! Thank you for the kind words. I'm definitely looking forward to the brother/husband matchup! I'm pretty proud of them both, and just really tickled the Ole' DC is back on the sideline. Last Fall was ROUGH!!! First season in the bleachers in ten years. Nothing like HS football. Didn't realize how much a part of our lives it was! (Missin my Eagles/Lovin the Black Knights)

Best of luck to the Eagles! I'm interested in seeing them more into the "meat" of the season. Not that any game is "not important", just kinda thinking the opener may be a bore. JRone, wish I could be there. We'll definitely see you on the 21st. Gonna be a tug-o-war for me that night for sure!

Are you referring to the reputation of Cocke County or the reputation of the KIDS at COSBY! Just look at how respectful Cloudland and Hampton both are to the game. It sure wouldn't be fair to lump them in with the dirty bunch at Unaka because they are within the same county! Unaka is DIRTY! Pure and simple. They always have been, and they are worse when they are good. I remember several years ago up there for a scrimmage a coach punched one of our kids!!! Turned out not so good for him though! (And Yes, you were better than us this year and last.) Your coach said in your local paper that you guys had to put up with that last year at our place... What a joke! You brought that stuff you were puttin up with to our place. I will say you had some fans who were very polite and knowledgeable sports fans. (Not the majority though!) I will also say some of our fans embarassed me, but... (and this is the main point) UNAKA IS DIRTY!!!!!!!

You're right, what they see on SUNDAY in the film and meeting session that they are in all day. Good coaches adjust to their opponent, but even with good coaching and good game plans, you can only do so much with bigger, stronger, faster, and better. Every loss we have this year has come to opponents like that with the exception of Hampton. (Our only region loss btw.and it was by 3.)

Yes Sir, very proud, and of our daughter. She's gonna be a golfer though. She's gorgeous and so is her swing so were waitin on Adidas to call anyday. The boys are definitely more likely to be lb's than to have their hand on the ground! They're large, but completely solid, and tall!! I've still got a year or two to see exactly where they'll play. I've got plenty of pull with the defense so they'll play wherever I say so on that side of the ball. Offense might be a little harder but the OC is afraid of me too! Hope to see a good game friday. I love it when people like to whine about another team's weak schedule. You play the teams you gotta play and then a ginormous amount of factors determine the rest of your schedule. If a team plays up in every non-conference game they have there should be an unspoken law that NO ONE can say CRAP about it!!!!!!!

I used to pull really hard for Hampton cause I like the way your boys always play, but dangit Pujo, ever since last season you've been a real terd! We could always get along with you guys in the years we got beat, but lord forbid us win one. I'm sure there are a lot of kids at Hampton you could mention that "Do the most for their team" which is what this thread was entitled.
