Crow2006, As a player from LC I want to set the record straight. If I remember correctly, it was 4th and 1 or 2 when UC punted and Springer made that "pee-wee" mistake as you call it. As I said, I want to set the record straight. Springer is not LC punt returner. That role is occupied by #5 Yancy and #15 Valentine. The call was for defense to remain on the field. Springer does not get reps in the return game and you can't blame him for trying to make something happen in the heat of battle. Bottom line, Brandon Springer did NOT lose the game for LC. We win as a team, we lost as a team. I give UC credit, they did not lay down after trailing 21-0 at the half. But as we all know, the best team did not win. Now UC and LC are both 1-1, and don't be surprised if our paths cross again. GO FALCONS!

What about Coach Jim Whitby at Lake County? He is probably one of the best coaches overall in the West. He's got them boys looking pretty good!

wardawg is correct...these are 2 fine young men. I have played High School Football with them for 3 years and they have always played with a passion and love for the game. Congrats to both and goodluck!

O.K. its very easy to talk "hotshot". Let me ask you something...Have you ever been IN the playoffs?? Pretty bold statement you made...winning yall's region and all. I do have to say this, yeah we got put out of the playoffs 1st round, and I was highly disappointed, but no matter what I stuck with my coach and I ALWAYS will. A TEAM consists of players and coaches working together...I think yall might wanna look into that. A coach can only do so much, it is left up to the players to get it done. Has your coach ever fumbled the football or missed a tackle??...mine hasn't. Let me just leave you with this "good buddy". If you can't support your coach, you need to take up tennis.
