Farragut 3 Oak Ridge 0 I think they are stronger than last year. Backline is phenomenal and they do a great job of attacking quickly and using their wings, who served some really dangerous balls. They will be tough to beat.

Ohhh, the good ole days. Not sure the actual list of coaches, but the criteria seemed to be success of program, strength of schedule, etc..... I know the AAA vote is confidential, maybe you can ask who is on the list. I don't care to say I am. I remember back in the day, the trouble G had actually getting coaches to vote. Most don't want to even take the time. I know I spend a lot of time looking up scores and trying to find articles before voting. Not a perfect system, but it does lead to discussion. For the record, if I voted in AA/A I would have ND #1 each week to try and get back in cannon's good graces. =) and aggravate G. =P

Powell - 1 Oak Ridge - 2 Powell is legit, I like their new coach and what he has those girls doing.

Haven't seen all these teams, but I've seen CAK and Notre Dame first hand and both are very strong. Maybe those 3 teams in between are also legit, haven't seen them. But can't imagine many teams out there as solid as CAK and ND. Good luck to all.

Thanks for the compliment, but we didn't play USJ this weekend. We beat FRA 2 nil and Cookeville 6 nil. You have Franklin and Farragut right, but don't forget Bearden, Houston, Ravenwood, siegel, Soddy Daisy. Probably a few more out there that just haven't been talked about.

Thanks for the compliment Champs, it was good to meet you and MVM over the weekend. I think our game had ALOT of tired girls just gutting it out. I don't know much about class AA/A this year, but you guys are going to be tough. I hope you came out of the weekend healthy. I really liked your attacking mid and your back line was hard to beat. Pretty sure I saw a topic that talked about running up the score. If anyone wants to start a topic about forfeiting districts games, that's where the place would be. Glad to see folks starting to check back into the boards, but please be nice. =)

Any good match ups to kick off the season. I know CAK plays Catholic. We also have catholic on tuesday and head to the baylor tournament over the weekend. It would be nice to see the boards get some chatter this year!

Looking at the date it was update, may 30th. I believe the girls rankings are probably the final rankings from last year. The update was for the boys. Still a good place to start.

Rained out, trying to set it up for this saturday morning. Oak Ridge played Ravenwood this past saturday. Total score was 3-2 oak ridge. Good way to start the preseason. Both teams looked good in flashes. Oak Ridge v. Lenoir City tomorrow night at 6 at Oak Ridge.

At least there is some interest now. I am going to throw out an idea that is not my own, but been presented many times by a good friend. We reclassify every 4 years based on performance. If you are doing great, you move up to tougher competition, if you are down than you move down. It will keep things competitive. Honestly, that would make sure the best, regardless of size or class as public/private, play each other at the end. You could still set levels like minor league baseball. There have been times a AA/A public could crush a AAA champ, AAA crush a AA private.....etc. We could have competitive games around that reward hard work at the Spring Fling. I think it would also help represent our state more in these National Rankings. Maybe review it every 2 years. I think it is a great idea.

Oak Ridge is looking to add one more match, preferably at home with travel to come in 2013. We also have room to add teams to our Labor Day Tournament, Katie Hunter 16, Held 8/31 & 9/1. If any coaches are interested please contact me at ladysoccercats@gmail.com
