Questions: What if your middle school is a member of the TMSAA? Does the rule (if passed) apply to only the middle schools that are members....or does the rule not apply to any and or all middle school teams? I've heard the vote is March 12th. Is this correct?

East Ridge will host the loser of SC and White House.

Gallatin will have their team camp June 14th, 15th and 16th.

Trust me….it would be the FOOTBALL banquet that would be moved to Sunday if there was a conflict. The TSSAA has a little say-so as to when the BASKETBALL region tournament is to be played.

Hats off to Greenbrier for their willingness to agree to the time change. These two teams are almost identical. Should be a fun game. I know Greenbrier would like another shot at White House. Good luck to both teams.

Celina was the only team that didn't show. All the other games were played with very few fans in attendance. I'm not sure when this game will be made up.....sometime this week.

I called the Center in Springfield and was told the games are being payed as scheduled.

Nobody has seen muffin since UT beat KY Tuesday night...... Congrats...

According to the current schedule they will play the winner of Pickett vs. Celina on Saturday at 2:30 PM at the Center. Pickett vs. Celina will be played this Friday at 4:10 PM.

First, let me say I’m an 8-AA fan. These two districts, 7-AA and 8-AA, are very even this year. I know 8-AA has dominated over the last few years, but this year is different. There is no dominate team in either district like MLK or Lipscomb was a couple of years ago. Let’s let the season play out. I think the region tourney will be fun to watch. It will come down to whoever is playing the best basketball at the end of the season. It could go either way. If I were to pick four teams right now it would be: White House, Station Camp, Upperman and Livingston, although I don’t see any of these teams getting out of the substate. Out of these four, I think Livingston may have the best shot if they can find some consistency. Good luck to all the teams in this region.

I'm not sure how far you want to travel, but Greenbrier had a good team camp last year and are planning another one this year. This camp should be sometime mid-June. The camp will be for three days (Thur, Fri and Sat) with each team getting three games a day....two 8th grade games and one 7th grade game. They use both the high school and middles school gyms. Teams attending last year were: Greenbrier, Springfield, Sycamore, Cheatham County, T W Hunter (Beech), White House, Portland, East Robertson and Clay County.

Is Meigs Co. in this conference? If so...did they win it? I saw where they were coming to the TNT.

What about Pearl?

Good question. Not sure of the answer though....other than he was wide open and couldn't resist. I don't know what was instructed in the huddle, but you are dead on.....just run the clock and it's over. And no it wasn't Cline. This is a young GB team. Hopefully they will learn from these mistakes and make a run in the tourney. Last year they were seeded 4th and ended up winning it. On a side note...the clock had expired before the shooting foul was commited. If the foul occurred before time ran out...then there should have been no FT's...because GP was not in a one and one situation yet. Tough call for any official to make. As a huge GB fan..the White House game was hard to swallow....this one was even worse. Hopefully these coaches and players can keep their heads up and pull out some of these close ones down the road.
